Hi ladies its me again with not so good news. Remember I had a shirodkar cerclage inserted at 13weeks,had 2 weeks bedrest thereafter.I generally took things easy, no gym, no sex, no baths I even used to lie down for 1hour at work to get rest. Well yesterday at 1:32am when I got up to go to the loo I felt a gush of liquid going down my legs,I woke my husband up and we rushed to the hospital. By the time we got there my pantyliner was soaking wet(sorry tmi) the nurse on duty said my waters broke. I think that bit of info did not register in my head at the time

I wanted Dr Truter to come and give me good news. The Dr was called nd he ordered I take something for pain if any and he wud see me at 7am.well I did start to have pains and more liquid coming out,the nurse said my membranes had ruptured and there was no way my baby could survive

Anyway at 5:30am I was in extreeme pain so the Dr was called and he rushed to the hospital. He immediately got into the mission of cutting the cerclage so baby can come out. He said he couldn't find the cerclage and I was in too much pain,so I can just push baby out.I pushed and my boy came out. He was perfect. He was 21weeks but didn't survive,we lost him the nurse asked if hubby and I wanted to see him and we said yes. He looked pefrect nd peaceful.looked a lot like hubby.

Anyway I got cleaned up and everything and Dr truter came to talk to me properly since he got there. He said he did not know what happened.he doesn't know if the stitch tore away or what happened.or forgot to mention he did do an internal examination after baby came out,I think he got the stitch out not sure I hope he did.but baby came out with no problems so the stitch was def not on my cervix.

Anyway I went home not pregnant with lots of question marks. Just cried all the way until we got to our bedroom at home. I am scheduled to see the Dr for a checkup in 2 weeks time.I am not looking forward to explaining to everyone esp at work why I am not preggers anymore wish I could run away.to make matters worse my bump was already HUGE! Whew

So before I left Dr Truter did mention that next time I fall preg he will insert a transabdominal cerclage, I heard its more successful.but I don't know,hubby wants to try again soon I just don't know...

hey ladies me again I just came back from Dr checkup, I am just over 18weeks, I am so happy because Dr Truter said everything looks okay with the stitch, its still holding perfect and my baby is growing very well. and it is confirmed to be a BOY my husband is the happiest man in town, its like he won the lotto.
