Hallo ladies!

Hope everyone is doing well!

On 26 April at 8:30 our precious little boy was born! Not at all the birth plan I wanted but in the end it was the best decision! Just shows you how quickly things can change in a weeks time! So glad we were able to see the stand in gynea so quickly otherwise who know what could have happened had we waited! Little one is named Connor Craig and I cannot stop looking at his face! So precious and perfect!

The last week has been a bit hectic trying to get used to baby life  I had a bit of the blues in the first day we got home but it went away from day 3 at home! I just think it was all the rush c cection then the pain and stress in the hospital that brought it on! Th thought of the procedure terrified me but I must say it wasn't what I expected! Seeing that little body the first time I will never forget it! And hubby was a champ through everything! The nurses though in the hospital was disappointing! Expected better care than what I got! You hardly get any support from them other than the bare necessity!

Anyone using those telament drops? I am struggling to get winds out (exclusively breastfeeding) and Connor started spitting up some milk a few times after feeding! Any advice? Also is it a norm for dr to prescribe pills for milk?

Good Morning Ladies

@Lola hahahha that's funny that you dream giving birth in strange places, I have left it to fate and the waiting is not nice

@ Maj Braxton hicks are not nice, I get them all the time and the baby strch ohhh it become uncomfortable.

@Jay it seems I have been 2cm forever. I was told you can be 2cm for 2 months without even knowing

@Monei the baby is not here and there are no signs at all.

well I have decided that I will pretend I am not pregnant and not think about the pregnancy anymore. the waiting is killing me. its driving me nuts. I am hoping this weekend something will happen. and my friends and family call me every hour to find out. they are not helping...I ended up telling them please wait for my call to tell you guys news. a day I get about 30 calls

@monei, wow I'm amazed that you getting your studying and submissions done. And the Mariah concert!!

Haha! The pads arent too bad from what I can remember. But I soon changed to the "normal" pads cos they were just too thick for my liking.

I have also been so slack with the rainbow relaxation! Keep saying I'm going to start, but I'm then too tired!
I also could couldn't tell with my first if they were Braxton hicks or just baby. Clearly with the 2nd, you can feel a lot more!
Am also wondering like jaybee why the midwife won't wait till 42 weeks before doing the sweep. I suggest don't google too much though!

@jay-bee losing the mucus plug such that you know for sure means you def closer to labour!! Holding fingers that things go well for ya.

I still have had no mucus plug sighting. Not even small pieces!
Just seem to be getting more tired! At least I managed to get some things sorted at home. I dreamt we told everyone as I thought labour started, and then nothing.....
I made a whatsapp group, so I could tell everyone. Keep getting msgs or calls answered with "is the baby on the way"!!

Anyone seen any plain cotton beanies/hats? looking for a plain pink and plain grey one.

Licious has been quiet!

@ Monei, I have also slowly started listening to my Rainbow CD again :) Will they not wait till you are after 41w before they do the sweep? I hope that it will just be uncomfortable. Well done on going to the concert, I am super jealous as would've loved to have gone. How was it?

@ Maj, any signs yet?

AFM, I am 38w4d and had a bloody show/mucus plug loss earlier this morning and it was no mistaking it as I am thinking the plug I thought I lost last week looked no where near what I lost today. Anyway that was at 10:30am and for the last couple of hours I have had very sore lower back pain that is constant. Not sure if its because of all my bending and stretching yesterday or if things are happening. Some slight groin cramping but nothing major

Hey ladies,

I'm still pregnant and no signs of anything. hehehe.

This week has been all about school for me. only just got back into my Rainbox relaxation last night. Still have a group submission for tomorrow but it's so much better worrying about 1 submission than 3. anyways, the student stress hasn't induced him.

Quite frankly i'm only ready to get walking and get it on like rabbits from 2mrw. have my midwife check up then as well and last week she said if no progress this week, she will do a stretch and sweep. Since it's my first pregnancy, it's highly likely i'll make it to 41 weeks. if this stretch and sweep doesn't work then next week we do another which seems sure to help. i feel like the procedure will be a test of how well i can relax coz it's notorious for being sore (but the midwife won't say this, probably doesn't wana scare me. if anything she'd probably say "uncomfortable" lol).

Otherwise, we are good. Today we are 39 weeks and 5 days. I even made it to Mariah Carey's concert (much to family and friends' surprise as they were sure i would be too big, heavy and uncomfortable to do such) and it was good. only went to the loo once(i even wore a maternity pad incase but that wasn't necessary it seems.LOL). SN: i'm not convinced by those things. seems likely to clump.

@blou,Glad to hear Regardt's infection behaved and you made it home!!!
@JayB and Maj, u r experiencing things that would make me anxcious that anytime now baby is coming. Only diff is he feels lower so my duck walk is so owning me. I think i've had braxton hicks but can't always tell if it was him or them. oh well.

@licious, is baby here already?

@jaybee, contractions are all the time! But nothing consistent or increasing in intensity. And no related pain!
thanks for the spa details. Am going for a final wax and haircut today. but really need a back massage. But I know most places don't give pregnant woman back massages! And hubby dsnt like the idea either!
Please take it easy Jay-bee.
babies need much less than we think!
Wish I could do some nesting! I have all these ideas but nothing gets done!

@lolabunny, glad your daughter is feeling better. Woohoo on her sleeping on her own! My daughter slept with us till about 2.5yrs! As much as hubby disapproves and says I shouldn't put the baby in the bed with us, I will. Giving birth at the mall or church! Funny enough I haven't had those fears!

I seem to be getting a bit of a cold/flu :( throat itching and sinuses are so heavy! Hope it disappears quick!
Dr said baby is fine and all fluid levels are good. Again we just have to wait! But I seem to be a bit more relaxed now that I am home.

Hi all, a week of antibiotics and the little monster is better :silly: we also "inherited" a toddler bed from her best friends - which she actually slept in last night! She sleeps with us in bed :/ ...yes - I also said I would not be THAT mom - who lets her baby sleep in bed with her. Trust me, winter is COLD and getting up and down in subzero temperatures is NOT fun at 2 am feeds. SO yeah, lucky me, two winter babies! We shall see what the new one decides

We are also at 3 weeks to go - I've decided to get my hair done this week...I was trying to wait until the end, but who knows when that will be! Does the second baby really come earlier? I hope so

I'm guessing there will be quite a few new babies born very soon! Good luck to all of you mommies! Especially the ones who are "leaving it to fate"...I've already been dreaming about giving birth at the mall, or at church :woohoo: And good luck to the nesters...so much to organise, and so little time!
