@ Maj, have you had anymore contractions? How long was your labour with your first? I also feel pressure lower and fullness. If I remember correctly you are 4 days ahead of me?
The Spa is called Mommy Wellness www.mommywellness.co.za/
I have not been there but have only heard good things. I am going for some Sorbet pampering on Saturday though.

@ Licious, ooh you are 2cm already, so your time is almost here. Any signs?

@ MtC, the last few weeks are flying but the not knowing when labour will start is killing me with excitement.

AFM, I have had some right back ache yesterday and some tingling/cramping right leg. I think I might be overdoing things but getting everything 150% ready
Going to take it easy tomorrow and see if my body relaxes a bit.

@Blou I am glad your home with Regard (beautiful name) and hopefully the breastfeeding will improve as days goes by. hang in there I am sure you will adjust nicely.

@ Maj nice bump, its not that big. I also feel my time is near. I am having this back pain is not funny. I am losing mucus plug but not bloody one.

@Blou, glad you are home. How's the feeding been this weekend?
He will start sleeping more soon.

@JayBee, I'm officially unemployed! gonna stay at home with my girls :)
What was the name of the spa in durbanville with the mummy-packages?

AFM, I dont think I'm going to last till the end of the week let alone next week (as much as I'd like too). Been having a lot of contractions! Can feel the pressure in my lower regions, I don't think she has dropped (but can't remember if I could tell if my first dropped) I haven't lost my mucus plug either. Discharge has increased though. The gynea last week said for 2nd pregnancy these things can happen even a few hours before labour!
With my daughter I had difficulty sleeping for 2 nights, and on the 3rd was in labour. I have been up every 2 hours last night, and then since 5am this morn!!

i was convinced we would have a few more birth announcements by now ;)
Hope all you ladies enjoyed the long weekend with hubbies at home!

@ May, your bump is so cute and not as huge as you think ;) sweet. How was the pizza and has it sunk in yet that you are on maternity leave?

@ Blou, I have read that rubbing your baby's feet wakes them up, maybe that might work when he wants to sleep. We have also started walking and from next week 29w going to walk every day as well. I just love my baths so can't wait to have a nice relaxing one when labour slowly starts, soooo exciting.

AFM, my bump has definitely dropped and it is way under my boobs now, yay. I do also waddle more and it feels like my bladder is SO full and when I go to the bathroom there is nothing.... what joys :silly:
Hubby and I have spring cleaned the house and washed all the curtains, rugs etc and made the last few meals to be frozen. I feel surprisingly good and wondering if baby will only come close to 40 or even 41 weeks. I have another Gynae app when I am 39w2d but hoping for baby to arrive that day. Operation natural induction from 39w :woohoo:

Hi ladies!

An update, Regardt's infection count went down a lot yesterday so they discharged us and we are finally home!

Getting used to everything and he keeps us up quite a bit at night, so it is a big adjustment for us, but worth every second. I am just happy I don't have to be alone at the hospital at night anymore, that was very hard for me.

He seems to want to feed all the time, but once he is on the breast he constantly falls asleep, so we are trying to find what works for us. He struggles to latch on the breast itself, so I have to use nipple shields for now.

Our midwife is coming to visit us this morning, Midwives-Exclusive have really been such a blessing to us and they have helped us tremendously while we were in hospital, I can really recommend them!

Have a wonderful day!
