@Sonsbaby, 2 baby showers- thats awesome!! glad you got some nice stuff, like the food steamer and blender.
I was useless on Sunday, and I did almost nothing on Saturday!! haha

people want to give you advise wherever they are, not only at babyshowers! the problem is figuring out what to consider and what to ignore.
regarding the water, i did not feed my daughter any until she started solids. My MIL however did keep telling me I need to give her water, and "clean her mouth".
I did however have bottles, and kept 1 feed worth of BF milk in the freezer, in case something happened to me. My sisters never found the need to use bottles with their kids!

Does anybody feel like they are getting clumsier??
I have so many scratches and bumps, and burns on my hands, etc. At least I haven't had any falls!

I still havent gone on a tour of the maternity ward! they said that the do tours only between 14:00-15:00 on a Tuesday

Hope you are all well. I went to a check up on Thursday. I only gained 1.9kg and this brings the total of my weight gain 5.9kg. I am still surprised I know!
The baby is growing nicely.

Hope you all had a great weekend! Work surprised me with a babyshower on Friday. Was very sweet of them! And then on Saturday instead of the mom and daughter day I thought was planned there was a babyshower for me lol! I did have a small suspicion that it will be on Saturday but nobody confirmed it hahaha

It was so nice we were so spoiled, got allot of clothes and winter blankets and a few specialised items like a Tommy tippee nappy dustbin and then a baby food steamer and blender. I started wondering if we going to have enough space to pack all the stuff!

On Sunday I was pretty much useless lol, I only unpacked all the gifts, taking tags and packaging off and finding space for all the stuff! After that I did almost nothing felt very useless!

Today I feel very tired and rundown I didn't sleep very well last night as I got so hot felt like hot flushes! I hope the day goes by fast

Did anyone else get a boatload of baby advice on their babyshowers? After a while I didn't know what to believe and what not! One lady told me I still need bottles even when I exclusively breastfeed to give baby water but I read so many articles where they say breast milk has all the water a baby needs? Anyone know a bit more about this?

@LolaBunny, hoping that she turns, and you are able to have the birth you want, but overall hoping that she is healthy when she does arrive.

@monei, i know what you mean about feeling like you are par of a joke! When I saw the docs from the bank for the bond, etc, i almost fell down!!
Hows the nausea? Yours sounds hectic? its so odd, cos you feel really hungry and want to eat and then when you do, you get heartburn and nausea and feel awful!!
Has the dr recommended anything for the reflux?

I have also put on 10kgs!! and it def feels like there aint more space, but somehow the skin stretches and there is more space in there!! To think the uterus takes 9 months to go from being tiny to this big, and only 6 weeks to return to its original size!! wow
My tummy has started itching terribly again, so i need to put on some oil/cream 3-4 times a day!
What are you ladies using?

@ninies, the airline allows you to fly until 34 weeks locally. But I looked at what the schedule will be and have decided that a 1 day trip would be waaay too tiring. And I cant spend the night away, so we will just have to have a telecon.

Whats the plans for the weekend?

@monei -I meant to say she is right down as low as she can be! Sometimes if I sit or lie down, if she moves, it's like she's touching my legs!

@LolaB, i'm not sure i really know what engaged is. Do they mean she is ready for birth position wise? Mine is facing downwards too- only heard this at our 28 week check. Going for next check 2mrw.

@Maj, the renovations was me. but we don't know if thsoe are still going to happen as we had highly underestimated the costs. it's quite hilarious actually. feels like we are part of a joke. LOL. We'll see how it all ends up.

Today i'm feeling nauseous. Dunno if it will come up or escape through the back (hides behind toilet paper-hehehe). Nothing is happening though. Been suffering from acid indigestion(i think) since last week so my water drinking is not so pleasurable as it doesn't seem to really go down. kinda gets stuck along my chest, like it wants to come out. Aaaah! so my appetite is also affected. just as i was enjoying cooking for my family again

Otherwise, We are good. He has grown. i can really feel his weight. i've gained a total of 10kg so far and have just over 9 weeks to go. apparently I'll pick up 500g a week of which he'll take half! WHAT?!?! my skin doesn't have space to stretch anymore. I don't have space to gain anymore. this pregnancy stuff is just amazing. lol!
