Hallo ladies,

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

I have a question for the ladies who are currently expecting their "last"child. What are you planning on doing for contraception after the birth of baby?
I was thinking of asking my doctor to do a sterilization at the same time of the c-section. I dont even know if he will do it and if the medical aid will pay for it. What are your thoughts around this? I have not been on contraception for so long now, and I just know I will forget to take the pill every day. And even though we struggled for 2 years to get pregnant again, with our luck it will happen again without even trying.

We are having another check up tomorrow morning. Currently at 36 weeks already  Cant believe how the time has gone by so fast.

Good Morning Ladies,

Turns out my suspicions where right about my shower being on Saturday. It was so lovely and oh so perfect, my friends and family are thebomb.com.

My mom was heaven sent, she literally told me to sit down and relax, she was doing everything around the house, cleaning cooking and just being super nice, just what I needed. I was so sad when she left yesterday.

I am so relived the shower has come and gone, I can now see what I still need to buy that I didn't get from the baby shower. I have been stalling that as I didn't wanna end up with having more than one of the same items.

All in all my weekend was awesome.

How was everyone else's weekend?

Good Morning Ladies

today here at work it feels like working on the 24 December while everyone is on holiday...

@ Maj how are sinuses? hope you are feeling better today.

@ Jay-Bee01 I have realised most doctors don't support herbs, it seems they just brush them off, I am not sure why they do that. I previously had a problem with my menstruation and I approached my doctor in using agnus castus vitex he just shut me down. I used it and it helped a lot. I am going to start taking Rasberry Leaf Tea from week 35. as long it doesn't harm me and the baby.

I read somewhere that perineal massage doesn't help if you had a tear before, I am so disappointed. I really thought it will help me. :(

Hi ladies

Its seems that everyone is doing really well and their babies are growing so nicely and all on track. :)

I am 32 weeks and baby is weighing 1.8kg and laying head down, so all good there. I had a surge of energy last week so finished the nursery, washed everything and packed her cupboard and even got my labour and hospital bag ready :woohoo:
I have gained 7kg in total and my weight has stalled for the last week or two by Gynae says that the next few weeks I will gain quite a few kg. Trying to exercise but just not in the mood but doing my pelvic floor exercises (should be doing more) and cough cough yip doing the Perineal massages. Hope that I am doing it right

I read quickly that someone was talking about Rasberry Leaf Tea but not sure who or where I read it now. Is anybody else taking it as I read it can really help with labour but my Gynae says its a waste of time.
When do you start drinking the tea and won't it bring baby sooner? Do you have any previous experiences with it?

Hope you ladies are having a wonderful long weekend and putting your feet up.

Baby girl is due the 15 May :)

Please feel free to add details and rearrange. My apologies if I have missed anyone.

@licious, I need to start the perineal massage this week. Apparently if you have scar tissue you should use evening primrose oil (not the capsule but the oil), going to go look for some this afternoon. i also had a few tears the last time around, and I didnt do the massaging consistently, so am willing to try!
@Sonsbaby, apparently its easier to reach if you have 1 leg on a chair, will see how it goes

@MTC, I also have the bum sticking out issue, had it with my first 1 too. If its really painful (above the belly button), I gently massage, and she shifts around so its more comfortable.

My ligaments are very relaxed at the moment, and if I sit for too long, its difficult to walk. I have brought a cushion for my chair cos its feels so uncomfortable.

How i wish somedays that i could just curl up and sleep as soon as I get home (i remember doing it during the first pregnancy), but this time around it hasnt been possible. At least my daughter isnt fussy with food, give her plain pasta, and she is all too happy. Hubby on the other hand....

I was doing well with the exercise, a 30 min walk twice a week in the mornings, a half hour yoga session or exercises at home, but the past 2 weeks have been downhill! and i know if i exercise more, i wont feel so drained, and my muscles wont pain as much, etc, etc but its doesnt help that its still dark at 6am!!

And now i have a sinus infection!! woke sooo many times last night as the pressure was causing soo much pain, feels like i have been punched!
My sister and her kids are visiting for the holidays, luckily they aint staying with us.
I was soo looking forward to having next week off, but it seems like i might have to come in for a little bit everyday

I am due 20 April.

I know the shower is a surprise, I was hoping someone would slip and spill the beans, lol. They got me SO bad with my bridal shower, a total surprise. I just thought this time around I'll figure it out, but as things stand NOTHING! Oh well.
