@sonsbaby @monei yeah it is getting harder as the days go by.

Hubby and I are attending our 1st birthing class this evening, we are a bit late though as the course runs for 7weeks and technically I'm left with 6weeks before the birth, but we willing to learn as much as we can in the time that we have.

The lady (midwife) giving the class will be birthing our baby, I hope that counts for something, lol. Like she must remind me what to do if I've forgotten some techniques while giving birth

welcome back sonsbaby. the down bit sucks but it passes it seems. i'm feeling good again. even optimistic and ambitious. lol. Gona go back to gym today and finally start catching up on my studies. Heck, i'm even cooking again. last week my kitchen was in a sad state of affairs and our meals were inconsistent if existent at all. lol.

@MamaK, i wanted to take my leave a week or max 2 before EDD but work has a 4 weeks before policy. sigh. gona waste a month of my 5 months leave. Contemplated taking a 6th month unpaid but i can't afford it. the uif is puny and i have too many obligations.

Though i can foresee myself being gatvol of coming to work soon. hehehe

Morning Ladies,

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome.

I still don't know when my baby shower will be, I suspect next weekend though. One of my aunts let it slip that my baby shower falls on a "long weekend", and it can't be the Easter weekend cause people have other plans for then, so I figured definitely next weekend cause Monday the 21st is a holiday.

They are throwing me another 1 at work on the 31st of March which will be my last day, then I'm off on maternity leave, whoop whoop!

When is everyone planning on going on maternity? Everyone tells me I'm leaving early and that I'm gonna get bored (it's 3weeks before my EDD), but ai it's cool, just as long as I don't have to wake up early anymore. Oh and I'm taking 6months maternity so I think I'll be just fine.

Hallo ladies!!

Welcome MamaK and GRBM!!

It took me a while to catch up lol! Glad everyone is doing well and all the little babies are growing well!! I have been so busy the last week its been hectic! Had a few ups and downs. Sorted half my problems out at work, just a few more hiccups that needs to be sorted out. Still very busy at work trying to get stuff done before I go on maternity leave. At home things are also hectic as my hubby is busy building a cupboard for the baby room and its being painted and then trying to organise all the décor and bedding and and and... I am worried that we will be running out of time!

I am feeling a bit down today but I think its because I am sleeping so restless the last three nights. My hips are so sore and I struggle to turn from one side to the other and to get up to go to the loo during the night is a mission! Today my bum muscle is also sore since I got up this morning not even my stretch exercises helped for it!

I am so glad when I read that some of you also feel this weird feeling of sadness lol! I had these sad thought a few days now about how life is going to change and what was I thinking!!  I felt so selfish and bad for having these thoughts! I worry so about what type of mother I will be and will I be able to cope! Stressing a bit about it!

My next appointment with the gynea is 15 March and I plan to in detail discuss my birthing plan with her hope she will support it. I am really determined to do natural with no epidural and holding thumbs that all goes well with no complications!

I have this idea that this weekend is my baby shower lol...my mum is not that good at keeping a straight face while lying hahahaha!! :woohoo: :P Really looking forward to spend a nice day with family and friends!

@MamaK - Welcome and good luck with the preparation for the birth.

It is really amazing that most of the ladies on here are doing the natural birth. If really feels like I am the only one that is having a c-section

@Monei - Yes hun can you believe - 34 weeks already. I have to start getting our bags packed hey...

@Maj - Sorry to hear that you are feeling a bit off today! I hope you feel better now that the day is almost over. Thanks for the advice on the hip pain. I will try anything...
Yes I am using chalk paint on my furniture. I bought a very nice greyish colour. I will post a pic of my painted furniture once I am done with this drawer of mine. I love chalk paint - it paints real easy.

I am also curious to know how big this little baby is, I am literally huge. My appointment is for 15h00 so I will update you ladies on wednesday!

Hello Ladies!

Welcome @MamaK. I like your gynae's honest disclosure. Glad he's happy to be the back up so you don't need to find a new one. Anyways, you don't really need a doctor for a natural. the midwife will do just fine.

@ninies, 34 weeks! wow, that's close. time is flying guys...i think it's starting to hit me. lol. I must start prepping my list of what i need. Eish, the hip thing sounds uncomfortable and annoying.

I think this weeknd was 'traumatised' by all the changes to my body. I now have cellulite.like, everywhere i look. :-( my thighs have gotten bigger and i worry all the friction from walking around will start a fire.lol. So i lathering that tissue oil around my thighs as well incase them marks pick that area.My hubby has even realised how heavy my boobs are- i've bn telling him! lol. I know it's not at it's maximum change yet but i really pray that things go back to what i know afterwards.

Got The hypnobirthing book and cd. Can't make the classes available so going to read on own and have private session with Theoni. kinda anxious coz consider myself a bit laastig- my mind races, can't still much unless i'm tryna sleep or watching tv and prefer aerobics over yoga and pilates anyday. Even my version of soothing music has lyrics.Calm and stillness stuff will be new. but i'm looking forward to it.
