@LolaBunny - My first son who is now 4 years old was also in that position from very early on and he remained there for the entire pregnancy. I had no choice than a c-section because I had fibroids in my womb and doctor said I could not do natural delivery. Anyway I think if I had the choice I would c-section in anyway.

When he was born, his head was shaped like a cone . I know it sounds funny - even my doctor said his head looked like Zuma's head.
But after a few weeks his head shaped to a very nice round shape. Today he has a perfectly round head. But we had to rotate him while sleeping for the head to push into a better shape.

I wish you all the best with your delivery and hope that you dont have to do a c-section because of this.

@Maj - Will the airlines allow you to fly while being so far along?

Hi all, a bit off topic...but has anyone else had baby in "engage" position since 24 weeks? I mean, she is down there and will not change position. Gyni says her head has gotten a bit 'squished'...and now I'm going back after 2 weeks instead of 4 to monitor it. I asked my sister (who is a dr) why is it bad for her head to be a bit smaller - she says if tummy is big and head is small baby could get stuck (sorry for the detail). Anyway....I just wondered if I'm alone with this. I'm trying everything to make her move from the bottom, my sister said I need to drink coke and get her sugar high lol! I tried, and I just don't feel like she has changed position. I guess I'm worried because it might turn out to be a c-section and it's not what I wanted. Please don't misunderstand me though, if I have to do c-section, I will. Anything for baby

@ninies,yea, the wall looks really nice, and we make full use of it! i find it more useful than sticking lists and reminders on the fridge which i often forget.
I guess when its something to do with the baby, it has to get done before they arrive!
It must feel so real when you booked the c-sec date!! i guess its that weird mix of anticipation and nervousness!!

@CDLK, The move is definitely not by choice!! i freaked out and asked them if we could not postpone by a month!! but then that means a bond and rent payment for that month on one salary I made a mistake in my post, the move is probably first week in June (with a 2/3 week old baby!!)
Someone else mentioned that they are doing renovations to the house, and I thought o myself, there is no way I would want to go through that!!

I see your dilemma with the resignation! Perhaps once hubby starts, you could start saving the majority of the salary for the "repayment". Hopefully it will be too much of an issue to work out the repayment, and they give it to you as a bonus
Our co. is also feeling the strain, we have been receiving decent bonuses every year, and this year, we aint getting any it would really have made me less stressed about leaving.

Regarding preggy brain and the word "point", I dont think anyone has noticed it!!

I just got off a call with the Client, and they need something urgently sorted out. I am considering flying to JHB for the day next week to meet with them. The last time I mentioned this to hubby, he said "no", but he was ok for me to fly to dbn to see family...

See and the preggie brain is definitely in full force - only realised now how many times in my previous post I used the word "point"....that happens when you try multi task and write a post with breaks in between!

@Maj - good luck with the move!! You are a very strong lady for wanting to move so close to your due date, I will never survive lol. I will probably kill everyone and just make life miserable. When I was preggies with my son we were busy building on a patio at our house at that point and 2 weeks before he arrived they were still busy and I freaked. I was not the most pleasant person at that point (sure my husband thought at that point he probably wants to divorce me lol)

Regarding the not taking the maternity benefit, I've thought about that but at this point I definitely won't be able to. Hubby is starting his new job first week of April so we'll only be seeing that benefit of his salary come in at end of April possibly but we're definitely dependant on my salary at this point. I also only have 5 weeks left basically so I can't really resign now, I'll have to resign end of March but that also won't work as I'm off on 15 April. Will just see how everything goes, will have to get the part time thing secured and in place in anycase before I make a final decision.

@Ninies - wow 12 April is actually around the corner!! Mine is booked for 21 April, but I know what you mean regarding it still feels so long. I'm working until 15th April, which is also only a few days before I have to go in, I'm starting to think that was a mistake as I'm starting to get uncomfortable now (sure you are too!). Think I'll try arrange that I work from home that week of 15th April then at least it's not up and down the entire time and driving in traffic!!
