@ CDLK and JayBee: We are also having a little girl. My eldest is a boy so feeling a little intimidated by all the pink! I really didn't mind what the gender was, but now that I know it is a girl I am excited to have one of each.

I am going to the gynae on Friday which is exciting.

@ CDLK, congrats on the confirmation on your little girl, I am having one too.

@ Gib, yip I watch birth videos all the time on YouTube and find them very informative. To tell you the truth I have never looked at a C-section video and think I should just in case I might need one. Nope have not found the dog lady and I am sure she is in hiding.

@ Blou, I hear you about the gender disappointment. My hubby and I were so convinced that we were having a boy and I truly felt like it was boy and when I found out it was a girl my heart sunk a little. Even though I know its a girl I sometimes still feel like its a boy... very strange I know - but I know that we will love the baby either way.

@ MtC, your belly is really so cute. I also feel huge and can't hide it if I wear tighish tops. Love this boepie :)

@ Ninies, congrats on your little boy and what a joy that everything is perfect and baby is healthy.

How are all the other ladies, Licious, Maj?

AFM, nothing to report besides still been tired and my belly has now pushed out. The dog bite is healing nicely thank goodness oh yes and I got my 16w4d scan next week and super excited.

Hi ladies,

So we went for our 4D scan today and what an amazing experience. Everything gets measured and looked at. All is well with baby's development and everything seems to be in place and now the only thing left is for baby to grow.
It is definitely a boy! So excited. Wonder what my hubby will name him. I chose the first one's name so this is hubby's turn and I have not much input except an opinion.

How is everyone else doing?

@Blousonneblom, glad to gear things are cleared with the cleft lip.
Regarding the gender, go through the emotions, feel the disappointment and let it work out of the system. Its worse for you to act as if you arent, and then it manifests in other ways.

@MTC, thats great about the med aid!

@ninnies, love the comment about being a queen bee!!
with regards to home remedies, gargle with salt water for the sore throat. get some raw honey, mix with a little butter or olive oil (or just some hot water), add a little fresh lemon juice and have that in the mornings and evenings. You also need to increase the amount of sleep, and drink lots of water to flush the system.
Hope you feel better soon.
Good luck with the scan!

Ninies... Wow! 19 weeks already! It's going so quickly.... Hope tomorrow's scan goes well...

Yeah, I'm sure it will benefit anyone in the situation I was in, i belong with Momentum.
About the sore throat hun, i would suggest to gargle with salt water, not the best tasting but I believe it kills all bacteria.. Good luck with him xxx

@MTC - So happy your scan went well. You are so lucky with the medical aid - which medical aid is that? It is worth knowing for anyone in future in the same situation.

@Jaybee - Sorry to hear about the dog story. Hope you are ok now? What a pitty that you wont be able to do your morning walks because of this. Is there not another route you can take?

@Blou - Lucky you for getting full salary while on maternity leave. I am not sure about my work yet, I will have to find out in the new year.
I completely understand your gender disappointment. I had sort of the same. Hubby wanted a girl with our first pregnancy and because of that I also wanted a girl..but it was a boy. Nonetheless we made peace and could not have it any other way. Now again - I know hubby wanted a girl, and looks 90% like another boy. But we are now completely fine with whatever we get because of the fact that we struggled so long to fall pregnant again. I think once you have been dealing with any sort of fertility issues, you dont care. I am holding thumbs that your second child will be a girl one day. I must say, I am kind of looking forward to having 3 men in my life and being the Queen B to them. Boys (when grown up) are truly devoted to their mothers.

AFM - 19 weeks today. On friday last week my throat started getting sore, I had sore tonsils the entire weekend and this morning every thing is in my chest. It hurst so bad when I try to cough. I have been taking panado for the sore throat and ears over the weekend and Expigen cough syrup for the cough. I am waiting for my gynae to phone me back to tell me if there is anything else I can take. Does anyone have a natural remedy for me?

We are going for our 4D Scan tomorrow at 10h00. :woohoo:
