@ CDLK, I also take PregOmega Plus with extra B-Tabs folic acid. I bought myself a tablet container to remind me to take in the morning and evening. They are huge tablets arnt they :P

@ Liza, wow sounds like they would've given you a rough time and strapping down your bump is something else! I have not felt any movement yet but hoping too in the next few weeks.

How is all the other ladies? Anybody going for scans this week?

AFM, well I normally have my morning walk and often walk past the same people and one young lady walking a pitbull. I have past them on many occasions on the side walk as we walk the same time. Well yesterday morning while passing them the dog decided to jump up and took a bite out of my belly just under my navel to the right and when i hit him off it bit my finger. Thank goodness no stitches just small puncture wounds and I went for a scan but baby is fine. I walked home very fast as the dog was growling and only had a back halter on. This lady only said so sorry and that was it. I am trying to find her and laying a case against her and the dog this morning. Ai just very sore and tired but the angels mustve been looking after me as it could've been much worse.

So now now more walks :(

Hey

I did contemporary and ballet - unfortunately a lot of it was acrobatic stuff / partner work or rolling on the floor. The company I dance with is holding a big production this weekend so normal classes stopped to prepared for the show and it was too risky to chance it and risk hurting the baby with a fall or even a knock from me or someone else.

Plus they said if my belly gets to big they wanted to strap it down so it wouldn't show too much... I was not impressed with that!

I am also terrible at remembering to take tablets so I am on the Nestle Materna. One tablet, once a day that I am good at remembering Monday to Friday but on the weekends I often forget :S - does anyone else take the same vitamins?

I have started feeling movement for a few weeks now - it is so awesome. Cant wait until the movements are big enough for my husband to feel!

@CDLK, I was actually thinking of leaving the co, but we decided not to when I fell pregnant, as they were soo accommodating the last time. This time around though, I think I might only be able to get 5 or 6 months, but I also plan to only go on leave a week or two before the due date (the last time I left a month before, and I got unbelievably bored)
Im glad I can avoid the audits, and pass that on to the other departments!

@ ninies, thats such a great idea with the countdown! Its an awesome way to build up the excitement!! What sweets are in the jar?

@CDLK regarding the vitamins, I was told that sometimes your body can only absorb so much of the vitamins at a time (depending on the vitamins). So taking the morning and evening dose is a waste of the 2nd dose. taking too much might also be causing the running tummy.
Im taking separate omega's, the red box of folic acid, iron supplements (as I am anemic), so I also take some vitamin C and extra vitamin D.

Has anybody been feeling movement? I dont no if its too early, but i feel bubbles low down when I get into bed at night. Dont no if I am imagining it though...

Ah Ninies that is so cute your son thinking they are going to cut you open lol. Happy birthday to him for yesterday!

Quick question to all you ladies - what vitamins are you drinking? I'm drinking Pregnavit - however I'm drinking all of them in the morning as I just keep forgetting the morning and evening thing. I found that my tummy gets a bit upset (it's been a bit upset ever since I found out I'm pregnant - but not all day though only at certain times of the day and usually after I've eaten...). My tummy is a bit runny about an hour or so after I drink the vitamins - does anyone have the same problem or know what might be causing it? It's nothing serious though luckily, I'll have a chat to my gynae as well. Was just curious if anyone drank all the Pregnavit vitamins at once and had the same issue!

@CDLK - You are not the only one worrying before every scan. I have no more symptoms now. Just a stomach that looks like I swallowed a balloon. But I also worry before every scan.

I am sure your son will enjoy the scan. Our 4 year old enjoyed it, although he did think that they were going to cut my stomach open and let us view the baby... :woohoo: :silly: :woohoo:

@Maj - Because my year 4old (his birthday today) does not understand the time concept yet, and kept on asking when the baby will come, I counted the days at the time and placed 187 sweets in a sweety jar. At that time there were 187 days till the due date (give or take a day here or there). I then labelled the jar and explained to him that he can get one sweety every morning before school, and when the sweeties are finished, the baby will come. And boy he does not forget to get his daily sweetie.

Hi there ladies

Hope everyone's weekend was good! All I know is that we have to seriously pray for rain, this heat and draught is actually just getting worse.

@Ninies - yes I'm very lucky that my company has a maternity leave policy in place. It's very true what you say, a lot of entities are struggling. This has been our worst year in the past ten years, but overall in the industry we're in it's been a tough year. I'm sure the economy will start turning soon.

@Jaybee - your lucky to be working from home! I would love that however in my job I'm stuck in meetings half the day, sometimes wonder why I bothered studying if all I do is meet and plan and budget lol.

@Maj - wow 10 months! That is an awesome company that will allow you to do that. You were very lucky to have had that opportunity

AFM: Our audit is almost done and I cannot wait for it to be audit. Apart from the fact that SARS decided to now do a VAT audit on us. So that is the next hurdle to get over and then we close on 18 December. I actually feel like I need a 6 month holiday!

I can't believe I'm 16 weeks already. I'm soooo looking forward to Thursday's scan. We're taking my son with, actually wondering how he would react.

I sometimes still think that if it wasn't for the cramping, stuffy nose and my pants not fitting, I still wouldn't realise I'm pregnant. It sometimes still feels a bit unreal. Although I'm very excited and can't wait for baba to come, a part of me is still very paranoid before every scan. Please tell me I'm not the only worry ward over here! :tmi:
