Was speaking to miss k today and shame I really also forgot her ordeal. She opted though for no amnio and until saarah's birth had no idea if baby would have down's or not.

Its been a 'lucky' streak then in this group...so Lord willing...baby B will be fine:)

Had horrible cramps earlier. Head immediately went into over drive...then baby decided it wouldn't move...so I was stressed. After about 15min he eventually started moving a bit...so was relieved.

Lol @ no. 3 being a boy. Addison was and is such an easy child...so I said I want no.3 only if I can be assured of girl.lol. U wanted a boy in the first place if I remember correctly? mands - I HAD AMNIO with lea she was 1:350 and since we were also going to terminate based on result we did amnio - its quick, painless and only thing is stress about that works on you

so u lie on bed he checks on scan to see babie's position if far from womb and enough fluid insert needle, quick prick take fluid and that is it all done

the way it works they reconstruct DNA cell string we all have certain amount - downs have some missing when the result come back they can even tell u how and what downs and severity - so absolutely worth doing

ok here is tip to please remeber - doctor DONT give option u have to ask him to mark packet with option - as u have 2 choices in the result back and if u dont ask they submit as see please

PLEASE remember to query this not just with dr but with lab as they send u bill - man it was killer as i didnt know this with mine

ok so 2 option 48hr result - R4400 (2008)
2 wk or as long as growing takes R1200 (2008)

so as u can see MASSIVE Differance in price to get result back I didnt know gynae submitted (without consulting lab) and surprise surprise my bill came in post for R4400 to do tests plus the R750 of appointment - cash i so didnt have

and let me tell u if u wait a day or mnth for news all the same u stress on day then u rest and hope for best - but to me i would have happylied waited longer so as to not pay such extortion (maybe u feel differently so this is just my warnign to take or ignore as u please) xxx

Mandy: My darling I am so sorry that you have to go through this. We would never judge you on the decision that you take. We are here for you and will listen and offer moral support as the next few weeks are going to be difficult. You will be in my prayers. Think about Miss K her test also came out indicating that lil sarah had a possibility of downs and she turned out to be a normal child. I can only imagine your stress try my dear to relax im sure it will be hard but keep the faith and lets Trust the Almighty.
