Oct/Nov 2008 mommies!

We had incident at john dory's yesterday. Addy followed little boy into playroom. I was waiting for G to park car so didn't wanna leave table so he could see us, but I can see Addy's reflection in door of playroom. I see her standing and playing with dinosaur and this boy just hits her twice on arm. She doesn't cry so I ignore it. Then he just whacks her across the face with a toy. Man she cried so hard and looked so shocked! I ran to playroom...I was really in shock so I shouted to the dad- your child is hitting my daughter for no reason!!! Little boy standing and laughing (smaller than Addison)...I could see he was really aggressive and bloody naughty.

G was so pissed when he got there...I swear he wanted to beat the dad and son up! Lol.

It was really a not nice experience. It seemed he really just targeted Addison and wanted to hurt her. Reason I watched so closely cause I thought he'd push her down stairs!

I know she needs to toughen up...but she has got a long way to go! Lisha was saying when she goes to school it'll happen. I really will be worried if she's going to be bullied everyday!

Addison been up since 6:30am...singing at the top of her lungs! A Bruno Mars song and then some Noah and the ark songs! Eish!

Nelria I've been feeling baby since about 8w. Crazy I know...I used to roll my eyes at peeps claiming to feel so early! But not like baby kicking or hard independent movements...I have to pres and be quiet...lie for a while and I'll feel him:)

Nelria that party venue sounds good! I still need to go check out the venue we are thinking of for Addy's birthday!

Zee that's great re: shower. Going same way here...kinda. But we'll start planning a bit later in the year:)

I'm so hungry...but man its cold to get up and make breakfast!

This morning I told addy I wanted her bum and she said I cant have it. So I said I'll take her brothers...she made her eyes so big and said: no, here take my bum quickly! Lol.

Got to go now, we are going to watch the Stormers game with friends and with only three pants in my cupboard that I can wear, getting dressed is not easy. I'm honestly amazed at how big I am!

Hi everyone, just got back from the venue for my stork tea! Yes, this time I'm totally in the loop and I'm loving it! My mil and a friend are the organizers and it's nice to know when and what, it's in August and they still need to get invites out. Looking forward to a nice visit with family and friends...

Any hoo, Mandy, glad you are feeling better and hope the time passes soon so that you're mind can be set at ease and that you can just enjoy your pregnancy. Ps haven't taken Z yet, been too cold!

simone - lol I dont think brett will ever give in as he is up to his ears with babies - so I am waiting for divine intervention or if i have to a faulty condom LOL

and yes wanted boy from start so i do think we all see ourselves with a sex - like jess that only wanted boys LOL

mandy - just wanted to add the 1% is due to stress surrounding the procedure and not a medical thing and as vix said not so great doctors - as my dr warned if baby not positioned correctly we would have to reschedule

also remeber a miscarriage is due to faulty construction naturally braking up so its the bodies way to save us from biological errors for me the stress of not knowing was worst than the decision afterwards as i knew exactly what i would do with results - as u do xxx

simone the price was a SHOCKER u can imagine we were partying up the good news going for scans planning on stuff etc and like a mnth later this bill in post for R4400 man i went straight to dr to kak him out and he said he had no idea of cost and took no responsibility for not ordering time of feedback as he took sample thereafter the lab took over - so went to fight with them they shook heads and said only thing we can do is make it straight R4000 if u pay all at once so my mum paid and we paid her off blowing our whole baby budget on this one thing OUCH

came from party now man it is the best venue ever - called the party yard - they have a train, jumping caste, bike track and bikes, like 6 climbingframes, sandpit, whole bunch of other stuff - a gazebo etc cost R950 fr morning/afternoon hire - and u can bring all own stuff so super nice lea nd xen went mental

simone - u feel baby move already????????????? wow

ok going to lie on couch for 5 min not often they both asleep so got to abuse it

then shops for DIY stuff and pizza YUM

and still looking for friend to visit tomorrow as lea will be bored at home

I am actually feeling quite great about it all, yes i have to wait, but i dont know anyone in my family or my husbands who have had a downs baby, so im sure all will be good..my bean is going to be perfect..

Cameron slept from 7pm to 5am this morning and my dad gets up at 5 so he takes cam to play and i slept til 06h30 yay! we went shopping and did some groceries and went from breakfast etc and had a lovely time so far

Simone sorry about your cramps, shesh and Zee also had them, so we just have to be blessed with our happy pregs each day

Mandy- friend..... I support your descision 110% even if it changes I'll support what you decide to do because this is a terrifying new twist on the life of your precious little bean. But....... I hope very hard with all my heart that baby B is going to give you the results you're looking for with the amnio and you get to relax and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy! I, like Julz, also believe the most conclusive results will lie with an amnio as it is a chromosonal abnormality that causes Downs and although we might 'see' physical attributes on the scan they are also not always visible or there are physical attributes that may look similar so really the best way is to test the genetic material itself. Good luck with the Amnio, although it carries a 1% MC rate you must remember this rate includes some not so professional medical practices so I'm sure in your grade A medical facility you'll be just fine xxxxxx

just as a note, when Jonathan was born there were little whispers about him having a short neck, of course my hubby panicked and everyone recoiled and retracted statements but i can see he actually does have a shorter neck than his brothers. Not that he has downs but my point is more that he has an abnormal physical attribute yet he has nothing serious like downs so that's why i say i don't think scan's can actually be that accurate.
