Helen hope the meds work for Nina. I've always been on Discovery so can't offer much advice re what other medical aids offer or their rates. Perhaps one of the other ladies can recommend a good consultant that will explain all your options. What MA are you guys with currently?

Yoza definitely doing Calpol for Shrey tonight ... he may need it to have a better sleep with the teething. Hope Siba's teeth cut quickly and he feels pain free soon xxx

Yes Helen Shrey still has these last 2 to go We've been lucky with the big molars that he hasn't had a fever either but he gets very restless at night. Hope it's all out soon and he will go back to sleeping in his cot and sleeping peacefully at night. In the meantime I won't expect too much from him.

Siba starts 19 July at his preschool.

Lisha siba is also teething he has been blowing and yesterday he did the funniest thing he took my washing cloth put it in his mouth all day i realised his gums were swollen when I was brushing his teeth he started screaming. poor thing atleast no temperature and fever gave him some pain meds afterwards atleast he is sleeping

Took Nina to the Doc this morning, he's prescribed Diflucan as he thinks her nappy rash is thrush as well, he said the Nystacid doesn't work for everyone so hopefully it works and then some cortizone to help it heal, fingers crossed it heals and quickly, her poor little botty is so sore. He said he's seen so much worse where the babies bottom is actually bleeding etc, I truly don't know how anyone could let their babies bottom get that bad, I feel awful at every nap change as I can see its so sore, my heart breaks!

Ladies can any of you suggest a decent medical aid or a broker that can help us find one? Theo and I seriously need to look at changing to something more economical, we're spending between R4000-5000 a month on medical, our current medical aid is R3000 for the 4 of us and then most months I'm spending at least R1000 on top of that for GP visits/medicine etc. We've exhausted our MSA so I have to pay for all meds now and we only get 9 GP visits a year (of which they only pay MA rates which I think is around R150 and most docs around here charge R350-400 not to mention 9 doesn't seem to be enough with 2 young kids). There must be a cheaper way to do it surely?!

Lisha - Wow is Shrey still cutting teeth?! Oliver cut all of his by his second birthday I think. Sorry about your work, hope you manage to pull some miracles out of the bag

Yoza - When does Siba start, I'm sure its going to be great for him Wohoo on Princess sleeping through!

Christi - FX for DH increase. When is your next scan, when will you find out baby's sex?

Ally - Sorry have no suggestions for the dummy, have no experience with them at all...good luck for Friday if I don't get a chance to pop in again.

Yes we are definitely putting Shrey in school next year, just not decided which one yet. We're having some logistical issues with that because we only want him to go to school for half the day and both of us work about 30 mins from home so not sure how we'll work around the timings etc yet.

AFM Shrey had a restless night. He is cutting his 19th tooth, a molar on the top gum, so guess that's been causing the restlessness the last few nights. I am so tired due to the disrupted sleep and all the hectic stuff happening at work.
Feeling quiet fed up at work because I am being dumped with every Tom, Dick & Harry's problems and lots of them have nothing to do with my actual work but apparently I am a miracle worker Sorry that's my rant for the day (I hope it's only one lol)

Yoza, no she will be staying at home with me. She is finishing at the daymom because I am not working anymore and the daymom is an extra expense we need to save on right now.

If all goes well and DH gets the raise he was promised for Sept then maybe we will send her back until the end of the year. And then we will see how it goes with her & baby at home and make a decision for the new year.

AFM: There is progress with Buhle, she is now sleeping through and no waking up for a bottle I took her for a 15 month vaccine yesterday she now weighs 14,6ks .

Siba is now going to be a Montessori child I had a meeting with the teacher and got the application forms will send them back next week. They have nice extra mural actvities. Am so excited
