Vix I agree. There are times when it is good to time it for sure and yes modern lives really take it out of us. I am no saint either. Once a week is about it for us thanks to my body etc.

Simone it sounds though that you have Barry White visiting quite often so if you have sex every third day, you will be fine.

Strict timing often means boys hey. How many of the ttc girls that had clinic timing have boys (me included!).

Julz- I agree that a couple having regular sex should easily concieve but I do think modern life puts a lot of pressure on couples and they don't have sex very often any more. I won't lie, I also chated and did the smep but Elwyn has a very low libido because of medical reasons so I couldn't rely on him being in the right mood at the right time cos that just doesn't happen so it was about getting him to perform at the right time or it would never happen. So I do think there is a place for timed BD'ing but you must still keep it fun.

I was saying to Vix there's no real ttc support thread anymore. The current one is a close group that sadly have been tcc'ing for so long:-( not really conducive to the newbie knowing nothing. I feel like I'm in Greece with the cd21 tests and follicle scans. I don't know wtf those even are! Lol. But they are all great ladies and try to explain to me...I'm still clueless though!!

Julz that's on thing...my hubby has no idea when I ovulate or when we're trying. We have sex honestly when we feel like it. Maybe that's why I'm not preggies yet! Lol. Though we're pretty active (I think) so maybe we just get horny on the wrong days and miss the window...he he. I MAY chart from next cycle just to see if any of u can tell me if I am even ovulating. Its almost a year...so really time to kick it up a notch. My gynae said to come see him after 6m already.

The ttc thread was amazing and I made some amazing friends. Sadly I just don't have enough time to help out there and I feel my advice often falls on deaf ears so I got a bit frustrated. I feel a bit bad for leaving the thread though.

Hi Lisha- did you say you made an app with your gynae or that you need to still do it? I'll be interested in what feedback you get WRT the heavy periods.

Mandy- it wasn't meant entirely as a slap on the wrist but more of a warning as to why early testing isn't good. I remember saying on the TTC thread long ago, if you get the urge to go buy a test early take that cash and stick it in a jar for baby, then by the time you actually get a BFP you can have a little spending money (and you'll be surprised to see how much money you would've wasted on early tests)

Lisha- the TTC thread used to be really supportive and very informative but I find these days it's more about encouraging each other to test early and a race to Ovulation so the testing can begin. I do pop in from time to time to see how some of the girls are getting on but it's not FUN anymore, we used to have a good giggle about different techniques etc but these days it doesn't have the same vibe or information for newbies.
