Lisha I agree regarding the TTC thread. It is a great thread and it is most comforting for women with true infertility to chat there and to support each other, but for the woman who is just starting out it can be really negative and I feel it will stress some women out and as vix says you then get women who are over the top when it comes to ttc which I understand, but it takes its toll on a person.

And yes there is too much information out there.

As vix says Charting is good to use for say 3 months to get a feel for your cycle. After that you need to just relax and let nature do it's thing. Sadly it seems sex in a relationship is a problem these days and couples are using these charts to determine when to have sex to catch the egg which is sad. Ideally if the couple were happy or had regular sex this wouldn't be an issue.

Vix I think Dylan may have trouble with the molars too. They are all out but not fully.

Vix hope C cuts these molars soon. Shrey's 2 bottom molars are out almost completely now, just the top one's that aren't even showing at the gum yet ... well not that I have checked or been able to check.

AFM Shrey still sick ... not going to even say anything about sleep ...
My gran is visiting till next week ... so precious how she & Shrey find such joy in each other.

Mandy....so sorry about the positive/negative As you all know I'm a bit of a newbie to the charting and the TTC lingo, so try to absorb from Vix, Julz and our chatting about TTC. I'm 8m in my friend....so hoping my BFP is coming soon, but agree with Vix that being so early in....try to resist the early testing!!! I know its hard....but reading Vix's post...if you got a positive and the pregnancy didnt survive...and that happens again next month...how sad and demotivating is that? Not knowing....you'd have been none the wiser and tackled the TTC'ing every month with new gusto! Last moonth we both had super short cycles (for us)....so perhaps wait til CD29/30 to test again if AF missing. FX it'll stay away though:-) *hugs* How are you feeling now about it all though?

About ttc'ing...I think I'm setting myself up this month as usual! I'm SUPER sensitive to smells...running to the loo alot. But I tell myself no ways can I be feeling like this and its CD25 only. Oh and even my boobs feel heavier..lmao! The games we play with ourselves. Will test by Sunday maybe if AF missing (had 29 day cycle last month).

Mandy- so sorry about your false positive, this exactly why testing before 14DPO or a missed period should be banned! I hate hate hate early testing, it breaks so many hearts.

Here's my theory on flase positives because very true a HPT won't show positive if there is no preggy hormones in your body but a very high percentage of conceptions don't actually make it to a proper pregnancy. If you hadn't have tested early you would never have known and likely AF would've popped up spot on time and you would've carried on another month TTC. There are so many things that go into makng a viable pregnancy and the sperm fertalizing the egg is just a very small part of the process, the egg may very well be fertalised and may even get to a point of implantation but it doesn't always develop into a baby it is basically an empty sac, a blighted ovum. Usually your body will flush away un viable pregnancies with the next menstral cycle and you would never know if it did or didn't occur. Sometimes even with a positve HPT and + bloods you might go for your first scan and find there's nothing but an empty sac and sure enough soon your period will come. I personally would never get my hopes up on a + HPT before AF was due and didn't pitch, there's still so much that needs to happen before it can be classed as a viable pregnancy. I wish they would stop onventing HPT's that pick up such small amounts of HCG because when it's picking up small amounts but not big amounts then there's a possibility it won't come to much. Please don't break your heart like this again by testing soooooo early, I mean just because FF thinks you may have O'd from your temps doesn't really give you much guarentee. I also agree with Julz, you need to be BD'ing before O day not just on O day so IF you had caought little eggy it would've been a very lucky shot. I deally with Charting it's more of a long term way to track fertility, over a few months you might be able to see patterns in your charts that suggest when would be best for you to BD. For try to BD every other day from CD8 (your chances of O'ingbefore CD8 are close to nothing) and throw in an extra one or 2 aroun the times you think you might be O'ing. Girl why are ou getting yourself so obsessed with testing already????? You've only been at it like 2 months, you don't need to climb on the early testing wagon yet, that's for the real OTT OCD TTC'ers. Just try to have fun with it for 6m at least. Seem to remember you amongst many others who were telling me to relax it will come in time.

Julz- sorry about Dylan's bad night. As I read about Dylan's ears I could've swapped the name for C and it would've been perfect. I have taken him back to the paed 3 times in a month for his ears but they're actually better although he comes to tell me to take his ear off every night. I think it's actually these molars, I feel on the side that his ear is sore that gum is so incredibly raised, I'm using dynexan and ponstel and that really seems to help but I have to give regulally or we sit with issues again. Last night he slept though thanks to ponstel and dynexan but to be fair I think I only got him to sleep at 10:30!!!!!!!!

PFairy is here from 23rd to 26th which is sat-tues I think all over the weekend and public holidays. I think as she is in unfamiliar territory let's go to meet her by where she's staying, by the JHB zoo, it doesn't have to be the actual zoo maybe just a child friendly place near there, will have a look what's in the area.
