I agree re leaving Mia till she's ready for potty training, we didn't push Shrey and he made it such an easy transition because he was ready to do it.

Simone I can't wait to see pics of the shower and Addy's party. Glad your baby got spoiled so much

Nelria sounds like party is going to be a blast Love that all these little girls are in princess phase ... sounds so cute.

Had a nice weekend. My sister came to visit from GP. Was lovely spending time with my niece and Shrey had a ball. He was so niggly after she left yesterday ... gave us such a hard time as he cried for every little thing.
Last night he was so funny ... he got upset because there was no paint left for him to colour in his colouring book. He stomped off to the room with droopy shoulders Woody style and when I called for him he said he doesn't like all of us anymore and that we're all 'silly old men' LMAO!!! It's so funny that they know how to feel so sorry for themselves these days.

Pfairy, so glad that you have adapted so well. My brother is leaving for Melbourne this Friday, He is also very excited. Its going to be a teary day! Shame, poor Mia with the arm and you being alone. Hope you'll find a great house soon.

Zander is a bit cranky today and Ziani slept over (for the first time) at her niece. I just want her home now. Think I should just drive over and fetch her.

Nelria, no I didn't enter. The only reason I would want to win Masterchef is because of the book deal, but I have one now hehe. And I don't think I would be good under that pressure. Just now I'm that annoying contestant who cries all the time and all the viewers hate!

Done, My cousin also told me that Perth is definitely the city to be with kids. So nice that everyone is so health orientated. Shame man, Mia breaking her arm couldn't have been nice. But I'm glad you get to spend 6 days straight with your hubby.

Simone, you party was WOW.... I want a party like that for myself. What are planning for the next parties????

Nelria, want to see pics of Lea in her princess outfits. (I bought mia princess shoes yesterday and it has lights that goes on and off when she is walking)

Ally, don't think you have to worry about the children's afrikaans. The teachers can understand English and will help the children. I'm trying to teach Mia english, because she won't understand the teachers at all and they won't understand her.

Vix, when is it the twins birthday???

re birthdays or celebration days.... although we didn't plan any child's birth date, it all fell in place for us. January - money goes to school, February - valentinesday, March - xander, April - anniversary, May - hubby and mom, June - dad, Aug - me, Nov - Mia and Dec - christmas....

now or never... I'm replying!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!

so, we are in OZ for nearly 6 weeks now. and what an experience....

everything went well with the packing of your furniture. it just fit in a 40 feet container. The container was standing for nearly a month in the harbour before they can be put the furniture on the ship. the furniture is now in Mauritius... they will be here on the 21st of nov. then two weeks for Customs. will have it maybe on the 9th of December. then the big "uitpak" for christmas.

The flight went very well. the luggage weighs 88kg. (max was 92kg). I don't like flying, so I close my eyes when the plane takes off. when open my eyes, mia was already sleeping. she slept till the next morning before breakfast and before landing. There were men sitting next to me (opposite the path) and when we make ready to leave the plane, the one man looked at mia and ask if she was here all night, because he didn't hear her once.

it was about 14:00 in perth when we landed. a taxi was waiting for us. he dropped us at our house (the company is renting a house for us till the furniture arrives). It felt so weird. didn't know where to go. didn't have a car. so, we started to walk to look for a shop to buy milk, coffee, sugar, and dinner.
The children slept well that night. The next morning Mia started throwing up (I'm not used to throwing up children). Then I thought she might me hungry. Hubby had to run to the shop to buy cereal. (she didn't eat dinner in the plane, only a yogurt for breakfast, we've skipped lunch due to time changes and she ate half a pie for dinner). after her cereal, she was her old self. I was so glad.

So, hubby is working for 8 days and comes home for 6 days. He's flying on the Tuesday morning to work and comes home the next tuesday evening. I must say I like the 6 days we all have together. it's quality time spending together. and I'm starting to get used to the 8 days alone with the kids - something new to me as I was always working.

We bought a 2010 Ford Fiesta. cars a cheap here - so we bought it cash.

the kids and me is exploring Perth. we just jump onto a bus. Girls, this place is really all for kids. there is so many activities for kids. The parks is so beautiful with modern jungle gyms. The is gas BBQ braaiers in most parks. The most restaurants have food for babies. (in SA I had to buy Purity when we went out to a restaurant.) baby food is part of the menu's here. Children is everything. It feels like the people is always having a picnic here. everywhere you go, people is sitting under a tree, eating, children playing. and o.... these people are living a healthy lifestyle. everyone is riding on a bicycle. All the roads have an extra lane only for bicycles. At the zoo I bought a kiddy snack pack for my kids. Fruit salad, a bottle of water, salty cracks and 2 diff cheeses. I'm still trying to do the 5-a-day. I thing these people are already on 10-a-day.

the kids loves the beach. at the moment we are near Perth City and about 20 km from the sea. We are looking for a house near the sea. We can't get them out of the sea.

The only time a really had a bad day/night, was when mia broke her arm (again). I felt so lonely that night. She fell against the couch (wooden couch). and I knew that she broke something - she was screaming. I didn't know where to go. so, I phone a taxi. he took us to the princess margaret children's hospital. The admin woman wasn't very nice to me. the doctors was wonderful. Although they didn't believe me when I said her arm was broken. (okey, she was playing in the hospital.... but I know Mia like that). Mia didn't like the doctors (maybe she can't understand them), so, they were giving her stickers all the time. she looked like an alien with all the stickers on her. and she only wanted the stickers that smells like bubblegum. X-rays showed the fracture. We went home. and for the 1st time I was crying. I felt so alone that night. the only person I knew (hubby) was 800km from me. but after a good night's rest, I felt better.

Nelria agree re: no licence, etc in matric.lol. That did suck.

Thank u very much to u ladies that sent gifts today for my baby shower. Really really appreciate it and feel so blessed to have u as friends:) my baby boy was really spoilt today. Hopefully will post pics when I get them...the shower was stunning. My sister did a great job.
