Hi guys

Just been a busy morning and I am still not winning with the annoying DTI website :( The joys when mhy bosses won't pay the professionals to do it :(

Shrey is definitely teething and had a horrible night last night. Wakes up early this morning and I continued to pretend that I was asleep so he starts counting my pj buttons, starting at 2 and ending at 8 ... lol don't know what happened to 1

Angie I am so sorry that you guys are going through a tough time ... hope that things improve very very soon. And please don't compare to what others have cos as the other ladies said you just don't know what goes on behind closed doors. Hugs to you and remember we are always here to listen to your vents xxxxxx

Simone no words for your il's .... How unfair and inconsiderate can anyone be

Nicole & Julz sorry u guys also had a difficult night :( Let's hope tonight is better for all of us.

Yoza glad your dad is feeling a little better after the meds ... wishing him full & speedy recovery xxxx

Re carrying Shrey ... most of the time he walks but when he's tired or niggly or just starting to get fidgity in the stores we carry him. Fortunately he is still in lightweight catergory but still horrible on my back.

Nicole so cute re 'who's there'

Now i can't remember anything else cos u were all so chatty today

Oh yes I am so sick & tired of feeling sick lol. I am just recovering from flu and yesterday get damn eye infection due to stuffy sinuses :( Eye drops are working wonders though so it feels way better today. Need to take an allergex but so not in the mood for the horrible drowsy feeling afterwards :( Feel like an old cow now lol :silly:

And another thing I must share, Wednesday is our 9 year anniversary and dh will be at soccer semi-final!!!! Can't moan though cos I said it's fine without realising the date  and he was sneaky enough not to point that out....

Simone- that's really not nice, to feel obliged to give when you have no money yourself. I would've felt terrible if it was my shower and people were made to feel bad because they couldn't afford a present. There's already so many gifts at a baby shower it's not like 1 would make a difference. If you ever get stuck again then please talk! There's always scraps laying around in my house to make up a little something even if only a poncho, you'll just have to pay postage cos you're far away but still, it's a gift for R20, I will help any one of you guys out as long as it doesn't leave me out of pocket at the end of the day because I'm not rich either LOL

Even if it's only a scarf, mittens and hat, at least you could've stuffed it in MIL's face! LOL

Julz- my family is like that, all childrens names go on the gift even if they're adults and even anyone who can't afford a gift. I always figued, if there are 2 parts to my gift and someone can't afford then why not address one from me and one from them.

Angie- oo know that feeling, Elwyn also works on a small salary with comission. Last year he made comission 2 months for the whole year, so far, touch wood, his sales have picked up a bit but we had to adjust our living to survive on his basic. Now any comission goes to paying back my folks, wow without them we would be starving, they paid off R88,000 for DH's car and have lent us about R15,00 in hard months but we have said we WILL pay our debt and even if it's only R1000 every few months we'll get there. O.k we're also fortunate that our bond is low, about R300,000 I think so our repayments are low but we had even considered re mortgaging to get the payments lower still if it gets that bad. Things will recover in time and when DH's sales pick up you'll be able to pay back some of your debt. My DH says certain markets are already picking up like the manufacturing industry (DH is in Welding) and hopefully that will boost other industries. Recession is awful for those in the middle actually, the world works out ways to try and bail out the already poor, the rich seem to sit comfy for a bit longer and thse in the middle suddenly become poor but slightly too late for any of the bail outs. I suppose that's life. One day we'll all be on otop of th list and if the paw paw hits the fan again at least we'll know how to cope! I figure it'll only make us all stronger better people.

Errr gfone blank,

Mandy- C insists on walking when I'm out the house hence my love of the reigns but only really wants icking up when he's tired or eina. Usually it's me he wants but lately I've been telling him no and letting him tantrum if he must. He's fully capable of walking himself and I am getting heavier and more tender by the day so no more carrying for me! I do pick him up and put him into the car seat but it's kinds akward for him to do himself in either of our cars.
