Hi all,

Wow, nothing all weekend and BAM you bombard me with posts to catch up on in a few simple hours.

Helen- LOL at least you have another... 4-5m? To get everything ready in the house so no need to rush just yet. I think I finished C's room at 37w. Funny how 2 pregnancies in the same woman can be so different, mine is also so different but then I suppose now I have a reason for it. Are you coming to the meet? I can't wait to see your bump, your tummy was still super flat when we saw you last at Nelria's shower. Can you believe us girls have never seen each other pregnant (except Yoza and Nelria)

Nelria- shame, poor boy, why don't you try those drops on Xen, I used them on C at about 7w, it should stop the post nasal drip which will be causing a cough. I can't wait to see the pics, I hope she doesn't take too long.

Angie- I'm sorry times are so tough and stressful for you at the moment, I had my fair share of days like yours where I just needed to vent, vent away, that's what's so great about having a support group like this. So is DH still struggling to find work or has he found something now? Retrenchments are awful, I hope you guys find away out of your little hole soon! I agree with Julz, try not to focus on what others have and you haven't, it will make you feel worse but generally it's not that those people are any more successful, they might just appear to be doing better when actually they're just not good with their money.

Julz- sounds like you had a busy but good weekend.

Yoza- so pleased Siba is sleeping better!

The babyboom factory was dssapointing, long gone are the days where they sell things cheaper at the factory outlet. And Twin prams and strollers are very far and few between. I still like that one I saw for R1300 though, the Maclarens one on special in checkers is so hard and un comfy looking. I definately won't buy an un comfortable stroller just so that it will fit in my little car, I'll have to make do with using the Bakkie.

AFM- I made myself a huge Coconut cake, why? Just because I can LOL so much for my low GI diet LOL gotta have a spoil sometimes. I got all creative and made baby blue filling (for my boy tweenie) and baby pink icing (for my girl tweenie) optimistic as ever.

Last week I was a bit sad because I dreamt I had 2 boy tweenies but last night I had a dream of 1 boy and 1 girl which was kinda nice except they were U G L Y! LOL the boy was so fat in the face it was as wide as he was long with flaky horrible skin and the girl was so skinny even her chin bones stuck out, actually she looked like an anorexic baby LOL weird dreams!!!

Otherwise, I'm feeling fine, actually started to get my appetite back and really enjoyed a big roast dinner last night. I think it's helping to take my vits at bedtime rather.

Hi Ladies

Nicole that is so cute..who's der??? LOL!! Your weekend sounds nice;-)

Zee...your mom is such a gem to spoil you like that...and force u to spoil yourself;-)

Helen...lol @ whose idea was it to fall preggies! Some days i am so broody..other days i think...flip...do i wanna do that all over again (a resounding yes! but still question it sometimes)

Nelria cant wait to see photo shoot pics!

Lisha?

Julz sorry about bad nights...same this side. I am getting so frustrated with the constant waking and only calming down if she comes into our bed! Driving me insane!

Christi...eagle eye spotting missing ingredients! lol.

Angie...I am so so sorry for how you are feeling...cause I am feeling the same way for days and weeks now. I agree with Julz...pat yourself on the back just for being able to pay DH's debt...cause we are barely paying our debt with 2 salaries. Its such a frustrating situation to be in cause you are thinking...what am i working for? Everyone else around me has new clothes...cars, houses....i had to borrow a pack of nappies from a friend this month. My mom bought our groceries the last 2 months. I feel like a loser in life..lol...seriously.

All i can say is...gee i dont even know...i would say count your blessings...but when people tell me that i get annoyed..lol.

Just know we are here to talk...when you wanna vent, cry, throw a pity party (I'll bring balloons and champagne!)

Which brings me to my vent...

It was BIL's gf baby shower yesterday thrown by my il's. Only they would be there and the girl's sister.

So i told Gerard...we have absolutely no money and i dont wanna go sit there when she must guess who the gift is from and nothing will be from us. So Mil called Saturday night and said we must cook our food and bring it there and have lunch together and then it leads into shower.

So i told her...to be honest i wasnt going to come cause i have nothing to bring.

She asks me: Why cant you give Addison's old things? So i said...i want to have another baby and gave everything away that i wont be using but only have what I planned to keep for us.

She got so stroppy with me and started cutting me off as i was explaining that my mom buys our food and i dont even have money for nappies for my child.

She told me 'God bless have a nice evening Simone' and then put the phone down.

Upset with me because i am broke??? WOW! I sent G and Addy to shower....as i didnt want more gossiping about why none of us showed up...

So now i mail SIL to ask what the girl got then i know what to buy when i can buy something...she rather tells me that her sister sent me a list of what to buy so i can look at that. Hello the list was before the shower so obviously its not updated! So a catty response on my opinion.

I am so gatvol of these people....

Mandy we still put K in his car seat, and when we in shops we push him in his trike as I am to paranoid (and scared of the valuables) to let him run around free. At home there is no carrying or picking up unless he is sick or has hurt himself.

Angie so sorry to hear that you feeling down in the dumps today, I think each and everyone of us have days like this. Like Julz said try not to compare everyone elses success to yours. And having to pay all the bills for that long is a huge responsibility and not many people (including me!!) would be able to pull that off! Things will get better in time! ((Hugs)) to you!!!!

Yoza glad your babies are doing so well :)

Ally love the herb idea on your website!!! will definatly be referring to that guide!! Thanks :)

wrt to birthday parties,we have K's venue secured, but thats all i have done, but pretty know where we will get snack platters from and decor and all that, so will start buying and ordering everything in Septmeber (after the wedding) :)

I also wanted to raise a new issue and see what you gals are doing.

Cam is weighing 15 kilos and although he runs around a lot as well, he is quite lazy and wants us to pick him up ALL the time. My back is seriously taking strain and I feel that we are indulging him and that if he is able, he should be getting himself around. So, Do you pick your kids up and place them in the car seats still, or do they climb in themselves? When you take your kids to school, or to the shops, do they walk, or do you carry them? If you have stairs at your house, ( although he plays and goes up and down on his own) when its time to go, he wants to be picked up to go down the stairs etc?

I was thinking of moving his car seat to the centre of the car and encouraging him to climb into the seat on his own and to offer him a reward for doing so? I swear, my back is KILLING MEE! and I dont want to reward him with food, so i was thinking of giving him his teddy to snuggle if he gets into the carseat on his own..

Also in the kitchen, he wants to be put on the counter so that he can see whats going on all the time..sheshhhhhhhhhh

Obviously when he is shy or needs to be held that is a different thing, but ALL THE TIME is driving me NUTS

What do you gals think and what do you do?

oh Angie - So so sorry honey! Yes I am sure we all have days where you just need to be able to sit and say out loud that its all just too much! There is only so much POSITIVE talk, sometimes life SUCKS!! - Even if there is good in it, its just HARD.. I hope you feel better too! and PS - let yourself CRY - its your bodies way to release that stress instead of holding it inside, its a good thing!

Ally - shame man, sorry about the bad nights! Glad your party is pre planned and almost ready! I will also be inviting all the Gauteng mommies to Cams party! After all, he has known some of you since he was so tiny! we have provisionally booked a party venue til we can go and have a look! So we MIGHT have it early on the 7th November.. is that anyone elses date for the gautengers? Does anyone have a birthday list for our kiddies?

Christi - shessh! a fulltime worker and a domestic goddess on the week ends! thats more than i can bare! I still do the bare minimum with cooking!!!

Lwasi - it also took me DAMB ages to sort out my lilipie and i cant remember how i finally managed!

Helen - your preg sounds very different indeed! Just when we think we know what to expect! Your house work sounds like hardwork, take it EASY! you.. any progress on the tale of the visiting cats?

Lelani - sounds like a hectic week end for you! Nice that you can invite all the gals!\

Julz -oooh now i cant wait to see your pics on facebook! You are lucky that Dylan will still stay put in that thing! Cam has ants in his pants and wants to change position every 10 minutes..on dads shoulders, in trolley, on floor, mom to pick up etc!!

Julz I wanted to tell you something SHOCKING about Cams baby weight! Last week you said Dylan has dropped to 9.7 and I was collating my medical bills and one for MARCH 2009 - cam was 4.5 months and weighted 9.7 kilos!!!! FATTYYYY!!! Hope Dyl picks up weight again nicely soon!
