@JB - Yes, all McK's measurements are on track, my gynae doesn't like trying to
predict birth weight or length
The girls will have separate rooms - haven't even started on either of them yet
McK will just get all D's old nursery things (pink butterfly theme)
Just need to think of what to do for D's room (she's too young to have an opinion
so it's up to me - would like bright colours so she can stay with the theme for a good
few years yet!)
Will have to get D onto some major immune boosters now with her starting play school!

Oh Flower...those nails is a absolute pain in the butt....madam has to have it done every morning!!!! Having big girls is a blessing, but somedays it can serisously be a pain. Iz is so cheeky, and still believes she is also 12! We sold the bulky Graco pram and got a run-a-round Jeep stroller, which Iz fell in love with. Last night me and the girls are sitting in the lounge and Iz keeps calling Grace, when we actually started noticing her, she was sitting in her pram, bottle, dummy and blanky in tow waiting for Grace to come push her!!!

I am so jealous of you girls having new babas on the way!

Joy, many moons ago when I was still married to the ex, we also lived with his parents for a while, actually was also pregnant with Grace at that time. It'll all pass. Everything will work out the way it's suppose to work out.

What a hectic time for you indeed!!! You are a supermommy! Congrats on the new job, and on the almost dream home - which is stunning btw! I'm glad to see that us 'normal' people can also live in mansions

Re the illness - Kaylee was the same last winter. From when she went to daymom in May right until the end of winter we just never had a break. Every 2 weeks she was down with something that required a doctor's visit and antibiotics. She had repeat ear infections and had grommets done in August. Also got double pneumonia and we spent 2 weeks in hospital.
But I must say (Touch wood!) that this year is going much better. She has had 2 throat infections, and a few bouts of head colds with a stuffy nose and a bit of a chest but nothing like last year. Hopefully it'll get easier as they get older!

Yup K's grandad is still her favourite person no matter who else is in the room. She is quite demanding of him at times but the hardest is at church when he is giving a sermon (We are a small church without a baby room so she can literally walk up to him and ask him to come play with her). She also has him wrapped around her finger
I guess it's harder that we stay with them at the moment cos its in very large doses, whereas if we're on our own it's only really on weekends and even then not every day of the weekend, that she's like that and then it's okay as it's a spoil for him too. One day we'll look back and wonder why these things were such a huge issue, but for now I do occasionally holler in self pity

Robyn so glad your scan went well Is McK on par for her age? Can they give an estimated birth weight yet?

Have you started on baby's room yet? Will the two girls share a room?
I think D will love going to play school. They really enjoy being out and about at this age now. And as you say will get her used to big school next year. Cant believe our kiddies are growing so fast!

One day you'll have scan pics again too

AFM - pretty exhausted. We had almost 2 months of K sleeping through. Last week she started getting restless at night waking up at around 11pm and being restless until about 3am but eventually settling. Then from Saturday till Tuesday she was okay again and slept through. But Wed night and even more so last night she was extremely restless from about midnight again and she probably woke about 20 times between then and 5am wanting to sleep with us and be on my pillow. At the same time DH was sweating a lot (he does when his body is fighting a cold or something) and my nose is extremely sensitive to smells atm and so it was making me very naar. DH eventually went to sleep in the lounge at abt 3am, and K stayed restless until 5am. Finally then I was able to get 2 solid hours of sleep in, until she woke all bright eyed at 7:15am.
She had a fever at school yesterday but none last night. She is a bit mislik too. So I'm hoping it's just her back molars and not the start of something worse.

Went for 2 job interviews this week and waiting to hear back if any news today. I doubt I got them though, they are probably a little too senior for me.

Shoooweee cape town's winter is back after 3 lovely days of spring!!!

We get the keys to our house tomorrow - so excited to get to work on the renovations!!

JB, Dad (Simon) is John's FAVOURITE person at the mo. When Dad's around, I'm chopped liver. I feel your pain. He and I butt heads quite a bit. But Dad can do no wrong it seems. My friend told me its because he's a boy and if I had a girl she would dote all over me. I think it's just cos she was trying to get me to have another baby especially since K is doing it to you. I think it's more of an age specific thing. Mom's not flavour of the month anymore now that they discover that other people exist.

John has been sick the whole of winter. It has been so exhausting. Nothing serious but one thing after the other. Viral infection, croup, ear infection, viral infection. I feel so guilty, if I didn't have to go back to full time work, he probably wouldn't have been as sick. The school is like a germ swap shop. But I guess he is building up his immune system. he LOVES school. And his progress is awesome. I love him so much my little guy. I miss him in the afternoons especially but luckily work is so busy that I don't have much time to think about it.

Kerry, so glad K is improving! How are you and Dh feeling now? Si and I also succumbed to the dreaded sickness. Got those augmentin antibiotics that look like horse tranquillisers they are so big! But feeling better now. Still so tired though.
