Sorry for being so MIA!!!

How is everybody doing?
I'm not gonna be able to catch up properly just simply too much to reply on!

Seems all the babies are really growing up so nicely! And I dont think anyone has to worry about their LO's development either. They are all going at their own paces and all doing some things ahead of others and some things behind. And some babies never crawl properly, they stay going backwards or scooting on their bums.

Saw Charne & Yaz (July mommy) this weekend, was so nice seeing the little girly's playing together. They are all growing so fast!

Shall we ask the admins to change our forum name to August & September 2010 moms? We can probably remove the "Pampers" from the name now?

Sonay, Willem has never had a problem with sensitive skin, so I just use whatever I have at home - must add though, this was only the second time he had bubbles.

Dont worry, I'm still on the boring old purees too (more out of laziness needing some insperation, and more time ) As for how much, well - about 3-5 ice cubes .
Each ice cube is about 20ml, maybe bit more, since the food isn't always level with the top, so about 60-100ml. Some days he won't finish 3, and some days he polishes 5 or even 6 and scream for more...

I've stopped noticing the bruises - when he just started standing, he used to fall over every few minutes . Now at least its just a few times a day.
Did I mention that we have tiles and MIL wooden floors? Poor baba always have at least one bump or fading bruise...
(Now that I re-read that, I feel like a HORRIBLE mother )

Funny how a few months ago we were happy if LO's slept for 6, yes just SIX hours straight!! Now if he wakes up at 4am I feel like a zombie the next day!!!!
Guess I also spoilt that he sleeps through 80% of the time (8pm-6am), only time he wakes up often is if he is sick or teething - and we've had both the last month.

Willem also decided he doesn't want his dummy anymore. He stopped sucking it with the teething, and now he flat out refuses to take it again!
On the one hand, yeah, no issues later.
On the other hand, he still needs the comfort. So now I've become the replacement
Some nights he lies next to me in bed for up to an hour, just sucking away. He seems to be fast asleep, but dare try to remove him from the boobie, then he's instantly awake and screaming!

Oh Sonay, dont feel bad! Evan got in under the table and then bumped his head on the bottom of the table. They are going to get bumps and scrapes...

Evan at a push has about 3-4 table spoons of purity for dinner. He eats better if it's yoghurt and fruit.

Evan also mushes soft things up now. He tries to get his hands in his bowl when i'm trying to feed him. I am giving up on mushy foods. It's such a fight every time. Just need to get creative with other food options.

Jeanine, your baba is so cute. Can't believe the lollipop one, sure he loved it. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of bubble bath do you use for him? My older one always wants his sis to bath with him, but with lots of bubbles and at this stage I don't use any for her.

You ladies all have such nice ideas for food for the little ones. I'm still on Purity nr 2 and home-made, based on the Purity combinations. Need to go get some more , so will now start with nr 3. Today I tried giving her some scrambled egg for lunch, but it all came straight out. No idea why, so I'll skip that for now. She is only now starting to finish a Purity nr 2 jar. How much do your little ones eat?

Oh, I feel like the worse mommy ever today. My one tip over with her Chicco ride-on this morning. Huge bump on her forehead. I felt soooo bad for her. Can't believe it tipped over. I was standing about a metre away from her. So now she is all clingy and grumpy

Emily is still a very fussy eater!! She only allows me to feed her things that have no texture - like yoghurt, cereal and fruit jars. Anything else she wants to feed herself!! I tried buying the Woolies toddler range meals and she won't eat it because its things that she needs to be fed, like lasagna and shepherds pie and she won't let me feed her things like that. I bought the meatballs and spaghetti one as well and that she polished because I just gave it to her and let her pick it up and eat by herself. Yesterday, she ate 2 chicken drumsticks for supper and still screamed for more Problem is I am not getting much veg in - she eats peas and carrots, but anythnig softer she just squashes between her fingers and thinks thats great fun!! Girly and Yaz visited me on Saturday and their little girls opens their mouths so nicely to eat - not my monster

I love fish but I never cook it... I just bought some tinned salmon and am just going to add that to the dish or you could use hake just make sure there are no bones. Salmon is so pricey.

We got ocean basket for lunch yesterday and Evan wanted some of my food so I flaked the hake for him and he really enjoyed it. So he had fish and chips for lunch. Not super health but at least he ate it.

Tonight I am trying bolognaise, pasta shells and peas. Tomorrow I am making tuna, carrots, pasta shells and cheese sauce. I am going to try feed him from my plate. He's been off his solids a bit and only wants milk and biscuits. I had to con him into eating his purity last night. His gums are swollen and he will not let me touch his mouth so DH thinks he may be struggling with teething. I cannot see because everytime I try look he sticks his tongue out or clams shut. He lost it when I tried to put teething gel on his gums last night.

Sleep is still a phantom, last night he had his night bottle, a bottle at 2am and another at 6am. Clearly he's hungry just not for baby food.
