It is really really cold! brrrr i so battled to get out of bed this morning

i never get a good nights sleep ever. being a light sleeper does not help either, K is getting better with sleeping but i have to get up maybe twice to stick the dummy in, otherwise she is in bed at 8pm and up at 4am or 5am, then has her morning bottle and she is right back to sleeping till 7am. think that is really good .

before she used to wake up at 12am or 13:30 and that was such a bad hour... i can cope with 4am. its time to get up for work anyway, at 4:30

story is though, DH has such a bad snoring habit. i cannot sleep through that... LOL

is it me, or today flippin fweeezzzzzzzzzzing

Wow Charnenay, that sounds like a really horrible night!!!

Cols, shame an extra bottle? Well i am sure its just a phase or something... it's probably just for comfort. Crazy that they seem to just suddenly decide no more of X and we then obide by it huh? Well i don't have a choice if i give her something she doesn't like she takes it and then spits it out!

Sher yes the security is a big thing, its sad that we have to think of it that way, but necessary...

Looks like its my turn to do the zombie thing today... LOL last night K kept shouting in her sleep... and at one point she was even laughing! She would let off such a shout youd go flying into her room only to find her fast asleep and talking or laughing in her sleep... sooo not fair! and when i gave up going to investigate... hubby started...

cols i actually was scared to use the corn as well cause of the skin even if i steamed it. so what i did on tues, i bought baby corn... i put that in the oven with two other veggies and then pureed. its was like couple of seconds, they so soft. totally different from sweet corn...these dont have any skin on them...

i found out prices for a pool and entertainment area... R165 000... that is so expensive.

just that if you buy a house for a much lower value and build over the years, you have to see if you can mark it up well over what you spent, area you buy is so important.

then i have to get stats from the police on the area, security wise, is it good, how the burglary rate is etc. its nerve wrecking to think about all these things, cause we renting in a complex, and we have security, so you take that for granted.

OMW! Charn, that is so hectic! you must be a wreck!

Evan is waking in the middle of the night for an extrat bottle. Like screaming blue murder. He downs the whole bottle.

Evan is off pureed food. He will eat anything he can feed himself and yoghurt with fruit mixed in. Last night I shredded some chicken for him and thought i could get him to have some pureed carrot. He went crazy for the chicken. Had two spoons of carrot and then refused. When he was almost done with his chicken I put some pureed carrot on it. He picked it up squished it in his hands and smeared it EVERYWHERE. He would not eat it.

This morning I made a huge batch of chicken / apple balls and am thinking of giving him that with steamed broccoli florrets, steamed carrots and mini pasta noodles tonight.

What constitutes a balanced dinner? When do you start letting LO eat corn. I've seen it recommended at this age but I am nervous letting him eat it because of the tough skin.

I am a also a complete zombie today and unfortunately, not because I had a fun night like Babyk'smom. Emily woke up at 1:15 and she was crying and nagging and would not go back to sleep. She eventually passed out at about 1.45, so I kept her on my chest for a bit just to make sure that she stays asleep. At 2:00AM, I put her back in her cot and said a silent prayer that she would stay sleep until at least 5:00AM. Unfortunately, that was not meant to be - shortly after I got back into my own bed, at about 2:15AM, I hear a loud thud against our front door and a huge commosion outside - dogs barking, cats shrieking, goodness knows what else - it is chaos, sounds like people are breaking in our front door, our dog is going mad, the neighbours dogs are going mad, Emily is screaming and it seems there is a cat screaming in our yard!!?? DH jumps up and sees 2 wild dogs run off into the night and a cat lying dead at our front door!!!! Emily is now wide awake and is singing and waving!!!!!!! DH picks up the dead cat, we all get settled again and Emily is laying on my chest falling asleep again. Peace right? Not so much - next thing, we hear cars brakes and 2 massive bangs - 3 car pile up on the road that runs behind our house!!! Emily jumps up again, dogs start going mad again!!!! right, lights on, go outside to see what happened, back inside, settle everyone again and then the sirens starts and doesn't stop for about 30 minutes!!!! By the time we got back to sleep, it was almost 5AM!!!!!!!!! So, I basically slept from 11PM - 1AM and then from 5AM to 7AM - I am sooooooo tired!!!

BabyK - OMW you must be a total zombie today!!!

Glad they are going to fix your car, much better than having to hunt for a new one! And so sorry about DH's bakkie - it irks me when people sell things they don't have!
