Hi Lucy,

How are you and family doing? I hope that you are well.

Lucy, I am trying to log on to the Moomie Forum, but each time I enter my user name, it denies me. I would like to ask if youe can add it on for me, because you did it for me before.

Thank you again for all the support that you have given me.

Ladies,

I have some good news for a change.

I have found a beautiful cottage in a (plot in Fourways, very close to Broadacres) that will be perfect for us. The rent is also a little less than where I am at the moment. It has huge grounds and will be perfect for us. I absolutely love it, especially for baby Marcus, when he starts crawling. We went to see it yesterday and the owner said that we could have it, if we want and can move in straight away. Unfortunately, I have to pay deposit and rent upfront. I have just payed the rent where I am now, so will have to try to make a plan for the deposit, she will give me until next week Wednesday for the deposit. I am going to try my absolute best to get the deposit, I really want this house.

Anyway I have set up some interviews that side, because I seriously think that I will find something there workwise.

I don't have clothes appropriate for interviews and I wanted to ask the ladies on the forum if anyone has any extra clothing for corporate in size 12, for myself, so that I can look decent. Just a few items, so that I can get started.

I really hope and pray that maybe now things will finally be going alright for me.

I will keep you posted.

Always my love,

Simone.

Hi there ladies,

Maureen - sorry to hear about the situation at work. If you can do better at another company, then go for it :cheer: As with regards to the situation with your mom, tell her that you feel she needs her rest as well, as she is also getting older and that you will still bring Jamie to her when the nanny is on leave, sick, etc. Tell her that it is better for you that way as the nanny comes to your house and then you do not need to drive around extra. (I suppose your mother doesn't live with you?) Tell her she will see her grandson plenty.

I was pondering about putting Chloé in her front facing car seat. The thing is, she is only 5 months old, but weighs more than 9kg and she is REALLY STRONG! The problem is that she is way too big for her snug-a-safe (backwards facing carseat) and gets irritated by only sitting in it for a minute. But I also know that it is only really safe from 6 months onwards. What to do?

As to routine. Chloé's rourine is the following:
07:30 Cerelac - 4 teaspoons
08:30 Nan 1 - 200ml
08:30 - 11:00 Sleep
12:30 Vegetables - 4 teaspoons
13:00 Nan 1 - 200ml
13:00 - 15:00 Sleep
16:00 Bath
17:30 Fruit Purity - half a bottle
19:00 Nan 1 - 200ml
19:00 - 06:00 Sleep

She eats very well and always finishes her bottle. She is also a very happy child and rarely cries. Does any of your babies eat the amount that Chloé eats?

Have a lovely day!

Morning Ladies,

So I got my letter yesterday, so I am looking for work in the new year. I think they just gave me an increase to shut me up, not what I am worth to them. So I think it is a joke. As I don't really see a future with this company, I will be moving on to something in the new year.

So I got a nanny! She is fantastic, has been working with twins the last couple of years. And as the twins are off to school, her employer wanted her to go to someone that could take care of her. And they chose me...woohooo. Sorting the contracts and UIF out this week. She starts the 3rd of January.

Now the problem, I still have to tell my mom. The problem is that Jamie is way better off with a nanny than with my mom. She is driving me insane, it is my son and I know what is best, but she keeps on interefering and taking over. I don't think I can take then next 6 weeks of this torture...

Morning Ladies,

I just want to say a big thank you to each of you. My HR just phoned me to inform me that my salary increase has been discussed and decided on and that they will back date it to the 20th of September when I started working in my new position. She will give me the final signed letter on Monday, so then I should know what I am worth to this company, and if I am not happy I will be looking for new work come the new year, as I know what I should be getting out in the market.

Lucy, my baby seat I can put backwards facing. And Jamie has been like that since 3 months but I turned it around as he gets upset when he can't see me or DH. Another thing, he gets car sick like me, so the backward facing just makes it worse. He is 9 kilograms and according to the instructions you can move him to forward facing only when they have reached the 9 kilogram mark. My chair is up till 18 kilograms. Make Nania.

Check that the Bigger seat can maybe not be faced backwards? I know mine can same as the picolo. So check. They sometimes allow for back facing. Ive also heard only allow from facing from 9 months.

Morning all.
About this car seat thing. My SIL brought a amazing car seat down from the UK for Shane, however it says to use from 9 months (9-20kg), its a front facing only. As shane is so big and already 9kg but no where near 9 months we havent used it. I read somewhere that if you put a baby in a front facing seat before he is 9 months then if you have a accident his neck is not strong enough to hold his head, therefore he might end up with a broken neck in a car accident. Anyone else know of this? Shane is way to big for his baby rear facing car seat...

Good morning Ladies,

Mrs SH - Jamie prefers the bigger car seat to the pikalo. I think he is able to move a bit more and while looking forward he can see me and this relaxes him a bit more too.

Our baby expo, is on a weekend at the end of November, and like always I am not here for it.

We have a christmas party for the kids every year which I plan, so this year Jamie is going to be there, and I still need to buy him a gift of a R100.00.

This weekend is going to be hectic. So many things to do. My DH 30th Bday party is on the 20th and we have a whole lot people coming even from the Cape. So busy, busy the next couple of weeks. And we have Jamie's baptism on the 5th of December.

Have a great day.
