I bought a Chicco Proxima car seat at the baby expo and did the first "long" journey in it today facing forwards. For starters he looks a ton more comfortable and he seems to prefer facing forwards. His little feet was touching the seat - he is a tall one that's why I bought another one.

Screeching, not yet but I'm ready for it! Ha ha!

Thank God my child is not the only crazy one haha!!! Let me know when it lets up!!!

Back at work after a lovely weekend and can feel my blood pressure rising already, ai...

OHHH and what a fantastic game of rugby on Saturday. Being from Durban obviously I'm a sharks supporter and so is Shane...go the Sharks.

We had a fantastic holiday at Klein Kariba. Jamie loved the water and even fell a sleep in the tube in the water...

Going to Secunda again tomorrow for work, so not looking forward to the drive...

Nelria - we did take the fridge and microwave through to Simone. They were really very thankful. Going through on the 16th again.

Lucy - Jamie does the same, it gets so bad that we can't hear the tv any more. We also moved Jamie's car seat so he can see us...he likes looking out the window...

Helloo ladies

Ok well London had a cold this week for about 3 days. No fever just the run of the mill snotty nose. Now he didnt catch it from anyone and he hadnt been out so I reckon teething is taking its nasty effect. He is now on Cereal + Fruit for Breakfast and Veg + Fruit for Lunch & Supper. Eats well. Doesnt finish all his bottles though, but think that was cause he was sick.

But have to ask you guys.... has anyone's baby found their voice and now screeches? Gosh London screeches so loudly he strips paint! And he thinks its so funny he does it all day... I am amazed he hasnt lost his voice yet - and secretly hoping he will - naughty Mommy!

I hear it is normal at this point as they are starting to prepare for speech... but damn its painful... anyone else sharing my misery???

So glad to see the thread is coming alive again!

We're good thanks. I'm still at home with Alex; MIL is visiting for about 4 months so I've got her as help. Alex is positively thriving, we're still breastfeeding which is becoming a schlep because the little bugger is getting so damn inquisitive and wants to look at everything WHILST on the boob - hates his face being covered so it's really annoying.

Started him on solids - first rice cereal and also maize cereal only dinner for 2 weeks, then started doing cereal for breakfast too for another 2 weeks. This week we start veggies for lunch - so exciting!

Sal - go for nr #2. We're going to wait until he is 1 and then start trying again. Also want small gap.

Maureen - I hope the meeting went well. Chauvinist springs to mind!

My AF hasn't returned yet, must say quite like it! I'm not getting a walking ring but once he starts standing unassisted I want those trolleys with the building blocks in them that he can push around. I do want him to crawl for as lonng as possible to develop those shoulders best possible.

Alex is also sitting for short periods, but still falls over onto his front. He is just about getting the knack of balancing on his hands when leaning forward.
