Thanks ladies - it seems that we're all pretty much doing the same thing. I swear Alex doesn't like me very much, every time I pick him up, he moans, he prefers to sit in the pram next to me.
On to the next question:
- Do you ladies know when you're babies are having the 'long and 2 shorter sleeps' in the day yet? Babysense said that I should know, and I dont' have the fogiest. He sleeps when we drive and take walks.
- If you do know when they take day-sleeps, do you put them down, eg. rock them to drowsy and put in the cot, rock them to drowsy and put them in the pram? Should they take their day sleeps in their room so that they are used to taking naps in their room in the day time?
Alex only falls asleep in the daytime when I rock him/walk him in the pram or when we go for a ride. He is a dream to take out through, for some reason he always sleeps when we're out - I'm trying to make it roughly around 11h00 - 14h00 that we're out, so I guess that is his long day sleep. But when we're just at home, he doesn't sleep at that time unless I rock him in his pram.
- After bath time, we rock Alex to drowsy and put him to bed. Are we suppose to do bath time, massage and put him in bed without rocking? He is usually wide awake?
- Last one, Alex is on a 4 hourly schedule, however, it's definitely not 10, 2, 6, 10 etc. We reset the schedule for bathtime at 6 every night, but then it depends on when he wakes up. Last night it was 18h00, 00h00, 04h00, 08h00, 12h00, 15h00 and 18h00. I made the 15h00 an hour earlier, having a 16h00 and then 18h00 feed would be too close together.
Sorry for all the stupid questions. Babysense gives you guidelines, but not practical implementations (if you know what I mean).
Alex is an amazing baby. We don't have problems with gas and wind. We do however give him probiflora pead every 2nd day. I express a bottle for the morning feed, put the saschet in there and DH gives it to him.
OH JA, HE SMILED LAST WEEK FOR THE FIRST TIME!! YAY!!!
