Joybaby, I did kangaroo care with a c sec. You will have to come to KZN!!! I think it depends on the paed mainly. Before my c sec I asked my gynae if he had any objections to it and he said no but it was upto the paed. So I found out who was happy to do it and made sure she was booked!!

Hello to all the other ladies out there am sure you are all looking forward to the weekend so we can relax!!

Had our 32w scan this morning and LB has gone from 1.6kg to 2.1kg in 2 weeks (gulp) i really hope he does not gain 500g every two weeks till he is born otherwise he will be around 4kg but will still do my best to go natural The good news is he is head down and is so active all day long and seems quiet once i get into bed so lets hope he keeps that up when he is born!!

I work from home so will work until I have the baby and we are busy training a new guy to help DH while I take some time out to bond and look after our baby but it will be nice to have him just downstairs most of the time Can't wait for my baby shower think it is on the 16th June so not too long now!

I have been very lucky and have not suffered with the sore back, tiredness or anything although I did pull a groin muscle ( ) last Monday and am seeing a physio today to try sort it out as it hurts too much to walk and turn over in bed so get quite uncomfy!!

otherwise not much else to tell suitcase is 50% packed just waiting for shower so that i can wash all the blankets and clothes and finish off the packing

Team Pink!! Marine (Ma-Ri-nay) weighs 845g 25w4d and is perfect dr very happy!!

Her bum is in the "air" so dr said shame this one is kicking you a lot!!
Getting very uncomfy in bed struggle to fall asleep as i feel constantly out of breath!!

Thanks for all the info really helps me not to freak out!! Dr said we can see at 35weeks if i can do normal and then i can decide but to get informed is now crucial!!
Although im leaning towards C sec - reasons is dh aunt was a mat nurse for so long so she can come with to the theater so i will be more comfy she will organise me a pvt room and make sure my lg gets the best treatment!! We had a nice talk and she told me what i can expect and that i dont need to be afraid!! And dh could stay with them when im in hospital!!

Regarding the Kangaroo care -
I watched in amazement when I was a doula for my friend in 2010 and watched her son kangaroo care until the point where he found the nipple and was ready to feed.
It was truely amazing and I'd absolutely love to do it that way,
but it seems a near impossibility with a c/sec.

Really worth it if you have the opportunity to do so though!

Joybaby, yeah she wants to do it for budget conscious 30 something's in London. Weekends to start and if it takes off then quit her day job!!

KLK, super scary hey! I wouldn't limit myself to one hour kangaroo care. I had Tessa on me for a straight 4 hours and if I am honest I wish I had done it even longer!! Just me....
