Feb-May 2011 Mommies

Hi ladies

Well I went to see baby and when I touched him the nurse asked me not to!! She said he was quite hysterical earlier and she had just got him to settle...and obviously when he is hysterical the breathing is even worse...so ya...I didnt get to do anything
Doctors rounds are in an hour and we are hoping he will be discharged from the NICU bed to a crib. (still in NICU though).
Cos then I can feed him and hold him more and he wont have so many wires attached to him.

I am really emotional. everyone's babies are crying around me and we are just alone in our room. My boobs are really painful. I am pumping every 2-3 hours with an electric double pump they have here.

Will write my birth story probably when DH goes to get my mom. (so in about 2-3 hours time)

I am quite sore in the vjayjay area. I think because the birth was stressful and I had to get him out as quick as possible, I didnt have the chance for the tissues to stretch slowly etc. so its very tender and swollen!

Meags, HUGS! You and Mat are in my thoughts! I'm sure he'll be fine soon!!

Are you going to have to go home and leave him in NICU or can you stay there with him?

Nap time for me and then another meeting and then weekend, yay!

Firstly, Meags:*Hugs*. Everything will be OK and you are nothing but a good mother, so stop beating yourself up. You are an exhausted first time mother.

Just got a message from meags - she said they've put Matt on antibiotics and he will have to stay there for atleast 48hrs.
Ag my heart goes out to her, it must be so hard seeing your baby in nicu. Be strong Meags!

Lucy CONGRATS ON TESSA's birth!!! I hope she bring you and your hubby endless happiness!! So how does it feel to be a mommy for the first time?

Mistymom, congrats on 36 weeks! Only 1 more week to go b4 you're considered full term! That's my big goal for the moment! DH will have a fit, but I swear as soon as I get there I'm going to try bringing on labour. Right now going into actual labour is less scary than still having this pain for 3.5 more weeks!

I had to laugh at your mission impossible comments and battling to find your slippers! I can SO identify! My poor DH's job description has recently expanded to include finding my shoes under the bed and sometimes even putting them on for me, as well as helping me get out of bed, or rolling over in bed. After everything I've put him through with this pregnancy I'll be totally amazed if he still wants another one after this!
