Morning Girls

Meags - congrates again on your beauriful baby boy! Do not beat yourself up. Remember you have not slept in hours and hours so it is easy to miss something! Hope that the colostrum kicks in soon in left boobie and I am sure M's stay in NICU will be short lived! Also wow wow wow wow on all natrual....that is my plan....but have a funny feeling I may gove in in teh end and have an epidural!
Thank you for keeping us all updated, but rather rest first before you post birth story....this is a MB time for you and family.

Schatsie - love the pic you posted yesterday....at least we dont have litters! Imagine we had 6 little ones to feed and change...dont know how mothers with twins do it, never mind 6! I am also beginning to start getting vaginal pain and feeling really uncomfortable now. Shame it sounds like you have had a tought time this am. I must of gone to wee about 5 times in 2 hours between 1 and 3am and they were big wees (and was not drinkning so not sure hwere it all came from!). Hope you get your half day....At least it is not much longer now!

Lucy - thought hopefully some news by now! Cant wait to hear....

AFM.....yay today is 36 weeks ...my feet are so so so swollen i can feel them wobble when i walk! Gynae said its fine, that a sign all is well (?) and my BP fine! I checked my BP this am and it is still fine so guess just need to get my feet up more. Bending over now has become a bit of a mission (as in mission impossible)....i had to get my slippers out from under my bed last night and had to get on my hand and knees to get them. DH walked in and had a good laugh before he helped me up!!

Meags - I hope Matthieu recovers asap and goes home quickly with you!!! I think you are so strong well done And I am so soryy you feel bad that you did not know about his distress, you will make a fantastic mother just be strong for you and your little boy. He is absolutely gorgeous!!!

Meags I'm so sorry to hear that Mat was in distress during the birth and is battling to breathe now! I'm sure they'll sort him out in the NICU in no time tho, so hang in there!! And please give us regular updates. I saw his pics on FB - he is really too gorgeous with his dark hair!

I had my worst night ever - the pelvis pains were SO severe that I was awake from 3h00! I got sore from lying only on my left side, couldn't lie on my right side or back at all and was in the most excurciating pain every time I tried to turn. Poor DH was awake with me many times too and just wanted to know what he could do to help, but of course there's nothing he can do. I'm sure natural childbirth could not be more painful than this. Every time I try to move it feels like I'm tearing in half! Even climbing into the shower or up one step is close to impossible! I have no idea how I'm going tho get through this day - maybe I must work half day and go home and sleep. Feeling very sorry for myself right now!

Meags relax, your a first time mommy, you are exhausted from no sleep in 24 hours plus labour.... dont be so hard on yourself!

the nurses will take good care of little one, you need to take in all the rest you can get as no sleep = no milk.

Ok no birth story yet.
Just after midnight here and he has been really difficult for the last few hours. He just does not want to feed and becomes so hysterical.

He is also distressed still...no one checked him all day and now the night nurse said he's breathing is fast so she took him to nursery for observation. They say his oxygen levels are 100% but his rib muscles are retracting inwards which shows he is working harder than normal to breathe. Ok that was written almost 2 hours ago.

He is now in NICU he is not to be fed by mouth so he will get IV feeds for now. They are doing X-rays and blood tests to see what is wrong. I had a good cry and should be using this time to sleep but I just can't. My breasts are so sore from trying to get him to feed. The nurse has advised I start pumping in about 2 hours to keep up colostrum production and anything that does come out they can keep in the freezer (although I doubt at this stage there'll be much). So I am not sure we'll be discharged tomorrow. I think after I pump in 2 hours I will go to NICU as they are busy with all the tests at the moment. I feel like world's worst mother for not picking up the distress. That is part of my job yet I completely missed it with my own baby

Sorry to heat that Matt is having trouble breathing. I'm sure he'll be fine in no time.
