Good afternoon ladies!
BettyF I agree, what a glorious cool day in CT!!! PLEASE can the weather stay like this until my due date?
Phew, it's taken me all day to try and catch up on the posts inbetween being very busy at work! My replacement started today, so I had to start my handover to him and I had lots of meetings, some moved over from yesterday as well.
Meags, glad to hear about the "show"! Now let's hope things will move along quickly for you! I think I would also have been in tears by now if I were you - I'm really glad that I chose a C sec so that I can have a fixed end date, because sometimes it is the only thing that keeps me sane when I'm in pain!
Faw shame hun, you really sound like you're going through a rough time! Glad you hear your breast is better now tho. And really, don't be so hard on yourself re your figure - when we saw you the other day you really were still very nicely built! Remember you've just given birth and soon you will be back in shape!
Amy, we went to a sleep training session at Panorama hospital and the lady who did it said that you should plan for your baby to sleep next to your bed for the first 3 to 4 months. She says is calms the baby when he is able to smell and hear you and it will result in him sleeping better and disturbing you less. My hubby initially wanted baby to sleep in his own room, but now he is on board with him sleeping next to us. So we will have a crib next to our bed for night time, as well as his cot in his own room, for sleeping during the day, when we're watching TV, etc..
Re bathing, hubby is building a thing for the baby bath to stand over our normal bath, so we can sit next to it on a chair to bath him. This will make it a lot easier since we won't have to carry water to and from his room.
Mistymom, glad you enjoyed your spa day!! I really am counting the days until we go on maternity leave now!
Emsmom glad that your family is now all here for spec's arrival. I can't believe how patient you have been!! I would never have been able to be so patient!!
AFM, I had a really lovely long weekend, ending it by spending a nice quiet day at home yesterday, with my sister and a friend coming over for a while and managing to get quite a bit of rest. I just had really bad pelvic and back pain, so bad that I couldn't lie down or sit up and actually felt like crying with pain and frustration. DH rubbed my back how many times, but eventually I had to take some Spasmend. They say you can take it if you absolutely have to, so I just it once and it really helped.
Hope you all had a good day!
