Oh yes ladies H-buzz is in labour. 36 weeks 3 days (EVERYONE goes into labour before me ) She is 3cm dilated with a contraction every 10 minutes and they have broken her waters for her

Kimika those photos are too precious!!! Also love the one of the 2 of them SO CUTE!!!!! He looks like a very proud big brother.
EmsMom's date is April - not March. However, with such a big Spec on the way I'm sure she will fall into March!

Claire - my relationship is like Days of Our Lives. So much drama. I really hope things get better after the birth. I never knew sex could have such an impact on a relationship Now we get to throw in a bit of financial tension as I dont have enough cash in my SA account to keep up with my debit orders but thank God DH is really understanding with regards to that and never complains about needing to send money there for me.

Amy - don't stress about a planned c-section (or an emergency one for that matter). If you do get bruised, it really is not the end of the world - it will heal. Even a planned c-section can bruise you. Just depends on your body's reaction to everything and how well it heals. But obviously a planned one is more orderly as Cath said - there is no rushing and stress.
As for diabetes and natural birth. this is totally normal and definitely can be done. The only reason most mom's with gestational diabetes have c-sections is because usually the baby is really big and there is a risk of shoulder dystocia (head comes out but baby's shoulders get stuck inside). so then it's safer to do a planned c-section. But if your levels are well controlled and baby is average weight - then you shouldn't have any problems for a natural birth

BettyF glad you have started preparing!! How cute of your son I hope he doesnt fight with new baby for the cot!!

Cath - hehe shame that you only got a few hours of such interrupted sleep! The joys of motherhood Well I really dont feel like anything is happening with regards to me going into labour...a lady even commented on Saturday night at the restaurant that I walk around and move like I am not even pregnant. which is exactly how I feel! I don't waddle, I dont walk slowly. I just do everything normally! Nothing is a strain or an effort. (which is good I suppose!) I really dont think he has engaged much I am a bit concerned about this...by 38 weeks he should be more engaged. Very curious to see what the midwife says on Thursday. I increased the evening primrose capsules last night. so 1 orally and 3 vaginally.

So my news:
little stressed about financial situation in SA. Hate not having enough money...
Brother only just put car into AutoTrader today!!!!!!! It has been sitting at his house since I left in January so I'm really annoyed - really could do with that money!!!!!!!!!
(I owe the government close to R50 000 for not working back a 2nd year of community service after my degree so want to pay that off ASAP)
feeling anxious that nothing is happening to my body. I really feel very normal. not overly tired. no aches or pains (well normal rib and back pain)
dont really feel any increased pelvic pressure...
going to the pools again today with the expat wives. its not exactly steaming hot here so dont know if i will swim but anyway! then need to go get a social security number so I can convert my license (more like re-do my license - have to do the written and practical exam all over again!)
grapes are still alive and well....sigh....they are DEFINITELY better though. In fact I would say they are now like the ones I get on a regular basis. Totally manageable. Just hope they wont be so visible for my wax on Wednesday that will really be quite embarassing to say the least but I cant delay the wax any longer!

Hi Ladies, i havent been online for ages, between work home and the kids its making me a little coo coo.

due date for me is 10/04 maternity leave date = 18/03 - but dr decided to put me on bed rest as of the 28/02

I am a litttle nervous, this is my 3rd LO but its different somehow, i have no clue what to expect. strange but honestly its the truth.

Painful braxton hicks, or could it be labour. Was in hospital for a week for observation.

I will be seeing my gynae tomorrow, he will then decide whether or not its time to fetch him rather, as being in this state for 3 weeks is really no joke.
shame LO only 36weeks yesterday. I have been given steriod injections already just in case he decides to show.

i am really going off my nanaa here.

Kimika - wow on the photos, I especially like the one with both your babies in it - happy 1 month little man! how are things with you??

Meags - eish girl, every day I hope to come on here and 'see' if your DH really has changed, I also really hope its just for the 2 or so weeks left that you are preggies - big hugs hun xxx how are the H's? horrid that you have that too. M will come when he is ready not DH or you - hee hee if only it were that easy hey

Cath - wow your positivity brings such a smile to my face I am also a planned c-section so glad to hear, but I like you believe in positive affirmations and the like.

Lucy - my friend you look stunning, no wonder that guy hit on you in the parking lot - ha ha ha !!! Joli really has a point on changing the number - trully a professional photographer in our thread

Joli - I cannot believe your little man is already over 8 weeks old, where has the time gone, so glad UIF did not send you away again with some error, FX you get your cash ASAP.

Emsmom, I just had a look at our due dates and I see yours is the 17th.. thats this week!!?? Was that your c-sec date or is it your real due date??

Faw, yippee on going home! Your son is sooo gorgeous! Congrats again! I love his names!! I also think the clots are normal.. and it can be quite painfull for your uterus to expell them.

Schatsie, ag man.. that pain sounds awefull!!! Eina man Wow the stuff you bought sounds loveley! Pls post more pics.. your nursery is going to be soo gorgeous! I agree with rather putting up the mobile over the changing station.. you surely dont want to wake up at th emiddle of night and stare into a bears face lol..

Emsmom, that dream sounds amazing!! You must treasure it whenever you feel a bit anxious about birth etc Im really starting to think you have a little boy in there!!

Meags, I think I dreamt about you last night but cant remember what hehe Great that you felt some strong BH with the walk.. I agree do some more, along with lots of hopping on the birthball.

Cath, Dont worry if he does that hourly thing now and then, like you said he had a short feed bfore that and then needs to catch up. Williams normally sleeps fantasticly! I mean 5hrs is bliss! Reuben managed to sleep a 4 1/2 hour stretch last night again Phew!! But that ended up in him only having his bath at 10pm last night.. ops

Joli, the pics of you guys with Callum on his due date are stunning! When are you doing his first vaccination? Flip Im stuggling to get my hubby set on a date for our shoot I wanted to do it ages ago!! Going to sort out all our appointments today and then force him to commit to a date. Sorry.. we're just running around trying to get all the customer/orders etc sorted along with his exams & work etc.

Lucy, I can just say wow at you looking sooo good!! You really are glowing And those pink shoes.. ag man!! Cant believe the difference between your 33 and 36 wks belly!! TEssa has grown a LOT in 3 wks hehe.. and I was also thinking about the number!

Taken this morning, big bro didnt want me taking Reuben away so they sat like this for ages! Watching tv He kept kissing him and patting his tummy and saying "doe doe" .. so sweet.

I think that if you gynae isn't concerned you should not be either really in my limited experience they ONLY recomend what's good for you and they are the experts? So I'd say relax and embrace the fact you can go for a natural and esp if you did it before.
Re the sleep LOL I suppose one thing is mother nature (you just cope!) also just one baby is really manageable it's the other ladies with 2 or 3 that keep going marvellously are really the ones I am in awe of! With only one you can catch up here and there and the beauty of motherhood is that you just do it you don't resent it (in my experience0 and you just cope! It's truly a miracle! I also from early on said affirmations like " I copy effortlessly with as much sleep as I am blessed with " and I think that also helsp!
Amy when is your due date? I think it's sounding VERY positive and diabetes is such a controllable condition, I can see why doc says as long as you're controlling it you are fine. really trust the doctor and don't worry! Try and affirm positive things like : I give birth quickly and easily to a beautiful healthy perfectly formed baby boy/girl - that's what I said and it seemed to have worked!
