It was me who was so worried about the c section. Thanks for the advice Cath. Well I have seen the doctor and this doctor is of the opinion that as long as my sugar levels are well controlled which they are then I can have a normal labour esp since I had a natural birth last time. The babys weight this time is average. Meags u are a midwife. Is there any danger during labour when one is diabetic?? Anyone else with any thoughts or advice cos I'm just confused now. I would want a natural birth as long as its good for baby.
Cath how do u manage with so little sleep and how do u cope. I hope I'm ready for this baby. Wow.

Faw glad you home sorry about the bruising and the clots

The person who was worried re having to have a c-section - don't worry if you have to have a planned c-section it's a very different operation and is very orderly and quick and I've had no bruising very little pain etc etc The nature of an emergency c-section is the emergency. Planned is really easy and nice and pleasant and I'd do it again although...how do women cope with more than one baby!! OMG!! Betty? Joli? Kimika? Faw? etc! William was up hourly from 2am this morning - shame my fault I made the mistake of only giving him small feed then when he went to sleep (which he sometimes does mid feed) put him down, well as a result he was up and hungry hourly and I was so tired I fed him what he needed went back to sleep and of course an hour later started again - madness! I will ensure I do FULL feeds from now on! Point is I could sleep from 5am to 8.30am and dh looked after W but W slept thank God imagine other children to tend to on that much sleep! Anyway! we'll cross that bridge when we come to it but suffice to say all you ladies iwth more than one baby wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The weather is so beautiful toay tons of rain since last night lovely to be in our little cocoon of love!

The last pic you've posted is really divine - the first thing I thought is that you should change the number in photoshop so it reads 36 - how far you are there! Faw - my tummy was also so bruised after my c-section so I think it's 'normal'. The gynae said I should use arnica which didn't help much. It's still a bit tender to the touch (8 weeks later). Just keep taking your pain meds. I went to the chemist to get more pain meds as I really was in alot of pain. Try to rest as much as what you. My DH said the bruising is from the clamps they use to stretch and keep your tummy open while they take the baby out?? Not too sure. I also agree with Betty - it's better to be home with your baby and after the c-section you don't want to be out and about and that with your newborn.

BettyF - I was very worried re Megan when I was pregnant. She wouldn't even let DH touch my tummy. But now that baby is here, she is fine and so in love with her brother. I'm sure all will be fine. As long as they feel included in everything they are normally fine.

Faw I know this is a stupid question but why are there bruises under the cut? We're are they from? I'd be glad if any one knows. I'm very worried now cos it looks like I'll have to have a c sec cos of the gestational diabetes. I'm terribly afraid. Well I'm at the doctor now. So please pray ladies that all goes well. If I'm gonna have the c second that its for the best.

Are you happy at home? Hopefully the busing goes soon. It takes a while to get over the c section. Just keep taking the pain medication.
Sorry you are feeling excluded from your Grans funeral. But with a brand new baby and you having just had an operation. It may be better for you to stay home and greet everyone at the wake.
How is the breast feeding going? Are you still expressing to a cup?

Misty - hope the swelling on your feet goes down. Mine were swollen after last weekend, but have gone down. DH is continually massaging them lol.

AFM- I started clearing the study yesterday, moved the desk and pc out, the carpet cleaners are coming on Tuesday, so at least I am starting to make some kind of progress. Matthew got so excited when he saw all the commotion. He said the baby must sleep next to him in his room. Then he asked if I'm going to get his cot out, and he Kay down on the floor of the study pretending to sleep. Thought he had forgotten about the cot already. Let's hope he is not too envious of the baby.

I am off to the Gynae today, let's hope there are no problems.

Faw I think it was Synap Forte that has been taken off the market for pain meds.
How are you and baby doing now that you home?

Lucy - I showed DH your pics and told him your baby is basically measuring 40 weeks and he said no way in hell...hehe. Your belly is so so TINY!!!!! It really is a mystery where you are hiding Tessa!! Maybe your tummy is always hard and sore because your tummy muscles are so strong that they dont want to stretch out? You look fantastic though - really beautiful and glowing

MistyMom your DH must take photos....dont let the opportunity slip by! And def sounds like something is up for the PH!!

Amy - thanks for advice about gel pad. Have been using the ice to no effect. Think I really just need to have them removed after the birth. Its just been an ongoing problem for years now.
and yes - I have already tried the heart to heart with DH so I really hope it is just restricted to pregnancy and resolves afterwards!
