CONGRATES TO YOU FAW!!!!!!! YOur boy is lovely.....hope you doing fine...

Meags - MEN JUST TOTALLY SUCK AT ATIMES! It was heartbreaking reading what he is up too! I really do not know what to suggest....just hope that it all comes right after baby is born. I know that some men just do not want to do it with a pregnant lady....so lets just hope it is that! Hate it when that happens with bill....best to always discuss before you order! Or be in charge of it yourself....that way you can just tell evrybody what they need to pay in!

Schatsie...wow how totally awsome tha tyou got a surprise baby shower at work! There are only 4 girls in my office so dout I will get something like that at work...nice about the money too! Very thoughtful! And ty fo rall your keeping us abreast re Faws labour! AAh shame about the night last night...does not sound liek fun! I also vomited last night...just outta the blue! Did not even feel sick..think I just have less and less space and if i lie in a certain way that it just pushes evertthing out of my stomach! Hope tonight goes better! Sounds like you had a good day! Please let me know where toy factory is...not that I should go as have everything...but I might just find something I "have to have!" (I love hsopping, espically for bargins! Lol at sober wine festival!

CathM - re teh birtth annoncement cards...presumed you have paid? But i would complain...ask fo rthe mamager and show him teh artwork you gave compared to what they gave back! R1000 is a lot of money! Shame!

Emsmom - shame, hope Em is feeling better! Sounds like it. Please post pics of yor mosses basket if you dont mind! Crappy a out salary!

Lucy - WOW seen eyelashes!!! That would have made me cry I think! :woohoo: How emotional to see so much detail!...Looks like we all seem to be breeding monsters at the moment! LOL at gynae wanting to know how you fit in baby!!

AnjeD - ooh getting closer! Nice to hear baby is on track with toime...Hope to hear some news like that myself soon but next appointment inly in 1.5 weeks!

Betty - hope you had a nice frelaxing weekend and enjoyed the parties...cant wait for all those partys i will be attending soon :)

Joli - wow congrates on losing all the weight! Really pray fo ryou the photigraphy works out...your talent is too good not to be used!

AFM....busy busy weekend....but been fun! Got my swollen hobbit feet again but think its due to the fact that I was on them so much (at last resting them up tonight). Nursery is finally complete with DH finishing off the last few things i wanted done...so now feel happy that all ready...if Baby had to come now at least i hve nothing left on the list to buy/do. The only thing i hav enot bought yet is a l little grooming kit!

NO surprise baby shower yet :( but now i think something is up on the 21st...i was discussing the public holiday with DH and what we should do as probably our last alone PH and he just kept on avoiidng making plans etc!

Going ot be busy tomorrow at work agiain tomorrow so dout will have time to post but at least from Tuesday i shoul have more mommmie time!!

Hi ladies.
It has been such a hot weekend. I think I'm constipated cos I been having cramps and I have these excruciating pains in my pelvis and groin wen I sleep and wake and wen I have to walk down stairs. Oh gosh its excruciating. I use one of those donut seats. But the pain wen I wake up is bad.
Cathm I hope I enjoy my first few months of motherhood as much as you. At least this time I hope I'll be able to bring my baby home.
Meags for ur grapes I suggest u use a frozen gel pad. I got one from dischem last year for my stitches from d episitiomy. it provides relief. Also u can try sitting on a donut seat to relief pressure. I'm gonna break my post up cos I'm postong from my phone.

Hi All!

Can you believe – it was Callum’s due date yesterday, 12 March and now he is nearly 8 weeks old. Unbelievable and he is now really looking like a chubby newborn – he’s legs and bum are now in proportion with his body (shame it was really thin before) and he’s even got a double chin he he. He’s prem clothes are now too small and he is finally wearing he’s newborn outfits and normal nappies – when he was born, we bought prem nappies for him. I wonder how much he weights now – he must go for his vaccination this week so will find out then.

BIG CONGRATS to Faw and Driekie on the birth of your little angels. Faw – your baby is absolutely gorgeous.

Yip Cath – I agree it’s been terribly hot in JHB lately. Very glad I’m not pregnant now! It was the first time that Callum got to wear short sleeved clothes and he is already nearly 8 weeks old.

Shame Schatsie I’m so sorry about the pelvis pain and vomiting – doesn’t sound nice at all. Hope you get some relieve soon, but you don’t want any gynae to take baby out too soon. My SIL’s baby was born at 38 weeks via c-section and was still admitted to NICU as she couldn’t breathe probably. Can your gynae not book you off sick for a week or two so you can just rest? And yayness on getting a nice parking.

Anje – can’t wait for your baby to arrive. I think you guys are going to be amazing. Your DH is so in love with you and you can see that he will be a great support to you during labour and birth. He’s already in love with his girly. Can’t wait for your shoot either. And thx for allowing me to feel your baby girl’s kicks – was just awesome.

Jessica – Riley is just too cute.

Kimika – e-mail me re your shoot. We need to get a date as your boy is getting a bit big. If you can’t make it during this coming week, let me know so I can see if I can fit you guys in next weekend.

Meags – shame hun. I can’t imagine how you must feel. I really do hope you get things sorted with DH sooner than later. Your tummy is really BIG! I’m really curious to see what your boy will weight at birth and I hope he’s not overdue!

AFM – Callum was very restless last night, so I hope he’s calmer tonight. And during the day, he’s awake for hours at a time an then he goes back to sleep, wakes up at around 7 and then only goes back to sleep at around 11 / 12! But luckily I’m used to little sleep. Before he was born, I used to work anyways till around 12 and later.

I got to submit my UIF forms on Friday, so now we just have to see how long it will take for them to pay out. I hope it will be soon. I’m really broke and the UIF money will at least help a little. Well DH and I had a discussion about me going back to work in May so he has now helped me to put up ads which he is paying for to see whether we will make it if I only do photography instead of working full time as well. If I have to go back to work full time, I will no longer do photography as I won’t cope with working full time and then the photography on weekends and evenings (editing) and 3 kids. So please ladies, say a little prayer for me that I won’t have to go back to work. Another thing, going to work is costing me over R2000 and petrol and now with the toll gates, it’s gonna add nearly another R1000 so it’s nearly R3000 just to get to work and back. Crazy really.

Oh wanted to say I’ve lost all my pregnancy weigh, but I obviously don’t look the same than before. Really need to start doing tummy exercises with I hate bleh!

oh yes Faw about the clots...

Keep rubbing your uterus as Tazzy said.
And show the clots to the nurses before you get discharged and let them decide if it's a worry or not.
I would say it's ok since they are small. But it depends how many there are and how often

Hi ladies

Faw your little bundle is so cute and precious!!! and 3.2kg is not big at all :) It's a lovely size :)

Schatsie thanks for uploading the pic. Jeepers sorry for your pain!! I really empathise with you on the pain. It really puts a downer on the pregnancy. I have no suggestions for you unfortunately! But like EmsMom asked, have you tried physio?? Perhaps if you go once or twice a week it will help. Yes it's expensive - but if it brings relief, it will be worth every penny. Really hope it eases - although it sounds as though that will only happen after the birth :( sigh...the things we women have to go through.

EmsMom - glad Em is feeling better and hope that temp goes away soon! So nice you set up the moses basket :) I love having things organised and ready.
I also know what you mean about living on a budget - I hate it. It's annoying when you have to live like that because people havent paid you back. and especially now - you want to get everything done and ready before spec comes.

Cath - your baby sleeps really well, very pleased parents!! We also want to see more pictures of this angel!

BettyF - awake early as always :) I started the evening primrose capsules just after 36 weeks but only for like 5 days before I got the dreaded grapes. then stopped for 4 days and now started again. Going to increase the amount tonight. I really want the baby to be born before my mom arrives. She cant delay her trip as she has to attend a wedding and each day that baby stays inside, is a day less she has with him. it is also a bit of a pain that the hospital is so far from home so she'll need to book into a hotel for those 2 days and ya. it really would just be better if he was born before she arrived! I am actually not too uncomfortable so I could wait...

Cath I have tried to get DH into counselling. And when he finally agreed, we moved here. And honestly, the medical stuff here is just way too expensive so there is no way we could afford therapy. I do agree on finding the cause before treating the symptom. I think we have grown apart and stopped enjoying each other. The only way to fix that is to spend quality time together and start appreciating each other more. but there is just no time to spend quality time together.

Happy 1 month to Reuben!!

Joli where are you? your pics on FB are divine :)

Tazzy - we want more pics of Amelia too please!! How is she doing??

Well I slept badly (what a surprise :p) - really need to get rid of these grapes!! I really have no other solutions though. Yesterday I bought 'medicated pads' that have witch hazel in which is suppose to help - but really it feels like I'm using a normal wetwipe...but I will continue using it anyway just in case! I booked my wax for Wednesday so hope they are gone by then...otherwise the poor wax lady and myself just have to deal with the embarrassing situation because I cant leave it any longer. After that I want to go for that pressure point massage so that on Thursday at my appointment I can see if ANYTHING has made any changes!

Going to buy the champagne today! Then we are pretty much ready with bags etc for the hospital.
went out to dinner last night with friends - was so nice. But I'm not feeling too good so I literally had like 4 mouthfuls of food (we all shared Tapas). Thought it was unfair that the bill was divided equally amoungst us all since I hardly ate and obviously had none of the Sangria. worked out to $50 per person but anyway... We were then going to go to a bar for a drink so we walked MANY blocks and I felt like something was taking place...which was sore but I knew that can only be a good thing in the long run! so persevered. Then someone called and said the bar was closed to the public so ya...walked all the way back to the car. By the time we got back I was having nice strong BH and quite uncomfortable. But by the time we got home everything was gone :( so going to try go out for another long walk today!! Think DH wasnt impressed. He doesnt like that I'm trying to get the baby out sooner! I think for 2 reasons (1) He thinks the baby should come when HE is ready, not when I decide he is ready and (2) DH is so scared that we are actually having a baby soon!

Faw - he is adorable - wow thats alot of hair! (thanks Schatsie for the pic)

Faw - I also had terrible clotting after my ceaser, and my gyn wanted to do a dnc but mainly because the clots were causing my uterus to stop contracting. Just keep feeling your uterus and make sure that it is still contracting. it should be below your umbilicus by now and apparently you shoulnt be able to even feel it by day 12.
