Lucy that sounds perfect about the outfits :)
I think DH will stay in hospital with me until I am discharged (it's too far to drive backwards and forwards and he's allowed to sleep over) so I need to make sure I got everything I need! But I think I'm pretty much sorted.

BettyF gee you are always so busy!!!!!
The haemorrhoids are getting there...I cant believe its day 8 of them and they still hurt! I honestly thought after 4 days it would be healed. I still struggle to sleep and now when I lie on my sides, my pelvis is aching after about 2 hours or so?! weird.
I REALLY need to go for my wax but I REALLY cant while I have these "grapes"!! I dunno what to do?! I mean, They charge separately for brazilian and "between the crack" - so I'm just going for brazilian. But you can still see the one grape

I have decided to go for a massage next wednesday and ask her to do natural induction techniques (through pressure points). my appointment with midwife is on Thursday so will be able to see if anything I am doing is making a difference! I really want the baby to come before my mom arrives. even if he only arrives the following week its fine - but my mom arrives on the thursday evening so I need to give birth by the tuesday! it's going to be a nightmare if I am in labour when she arrives as there will be no one to pick her up at the airport plus she wouldnt have made reservations for a hotel near the hospital so ya...eish!

spoke to DH again last night. BettyF I said exactly that about the pregnancy. he is blaming everything on the belly...but if I didnt have the belly - he would still be stressed and tired from work...he agreed...
found out last night that he feels when we have sex, it just feels like that. there are no feelings, emotions or passion (which is true) and thats also why he doesnt really miss it. how sad...
sex has become such an awkward thing for us over the last 2 years - I have no idea why. but nothing comes naturally. I personally think it's because he hasset boundaries on it, like we can only have sex on a sunday after he's been left to sleep and then when he wakes up, I must just be lying there ready to go. which is never the case. I am always up and about and then when he gets up, the moment is passed and ya.
so now I said we (more like he) has to force the sex thing. tired or not. we have to start having sex (or being intimate in SOME form) just to get it back into our lives again and hopefully over time, it does just come more naturally.
I dunno...anyone have suggestions???
the whole me wearing lingerie thing is a bit of a waste. cant tell you how much money I've spent on lingerie and he's not really THAT interested...
toys? I think he is way too shy and wouldnt be comfortable using them
porn - he is way too shy (I have brought it up before).

obviosuly having a couple of glasses of wine would help 'release the tension' but thats not really possible on my side right now...

Faw - I hope the infection clears and you do go home. I am sure that you will relax and recuperate better at home. Then baba won't be so tense and hopefully start drinking.

Betty and Meags - Thanks for the info on how warm to pack. I new you had to keep them warm but most days are over 35 here and I was unsure. I did not know about sweating heads so i'll keep an eye open for that and judge from there. I had packed 3 long 3 short and 3 half half babygrows plus vests and blankets ..... so I think I'll leave it at that. DH can get anything else I need as we are 10 minutes from the hospital.

Amy - Enjoy class

Anje - Take care hun!!

Hi girls.
Sorry i haven't been around. Im still not having much fun. My iv got infected. My son doesn't want to drink off me. Im still tired. Going home tomorrow afternoon if my temperature stays normal. When i was in labour i ended up not relaxing and have pulled a muscle or something in my shoulders. They are very stiff and leave me with tears.
Haven't told my husband about the birth yet as i want to get home first. Battery dying again and i don't have a charger. Hugs.

Hi ladies

Soooo pleased it is week- end. What a long week!

FAW-- YAY and Congratulatikns on baby! So pleased you are both well. Can't wait to hear all about your baby. Sorry you had a hard time, but at least it is over now and you can enjoy baby!

Lucy- I too would keep 1 or 2 newborn. With M, born in March, I only used long sleeved baby grows. Also the little outfits that look so cute, I never even used them. I preferred to keep him in baby grows. Not sure why, I guess I just thought he was more comfy in baby grows.

Schatsie- soo wonderful to have a baby shower at work. And yay for the cash, now you can go and spoil baby with something wonderful. With M I also had 2 showers one with family and friends and one at work. Nothing this time. Although I think I am having one. A friend called me and asked if I wanted to do a gift registry. Then I bought stuff at the woolies sale and DH said I shouldn't buy anything, but should rather wait until after the shower.
Last time my niece and sister organized the shower. My niece is now in Australia at uni... I miss her soo much and am sorry she won't be here for the baby. She comes down on holiday at the end of June, so at least I will be on ML then.

Talking about ML, yesterday morning I get told not to take on any new matters but to start closing my files as far as possible. Then. Immediately afterwards I get allocated 2 new cases.... Go figure?

Tazzy- it is so aggravating when dr's tell you to pop in and then are not available. It happened to me with M. The paed told me to pop in. 1 stly with a new born it is a mission to go anywhere- timing feeds, packing bags etc etc. Then I get to the dr. He is there, but makes his reception tell me that he can't see me as he is on his way out. Boy was I peeved...

Cath- how did W sleep last night. Just take each day as it comes, some days will be harder than others- especially if they are having a growth spurt, then they just want to feed a lot.
Have the hormones settled down? A lady at my work's daughter just had a baby last week and she is so worried about her because she has been crying all the time.

Anje - glad appointment went well- only 2 more weeks! Yippeee

Meags - hope you are ok...and sorting stuff out with DH, perhaps you should wait till after M comes, then he woun't have the pregnancy excuse... How is the hem problem is it better now?

We have 2 kiddies parties lined up for the weekend. One at Bugs play park- very nice carnival type place with loads of kiddie rides etc. So M will enjoy that. And the other is my niece who turns 8..
March is such a busy month!

Lucy I packed both short sleeve things and long sleeve things. But I would think he will be in the long sleeve things and then I can decide if he needs a blanket or just a receiving blanket to swaddle.
They do not regulate their temps well so lose body heat easily. Yes, they can overheat too - but you will see this as they sweat easily from their head and in that case, you can take a blanket off or remove a vest

Meags and Tazzy - Thanks for advice on clothing sizes!! One more question ..... with this heat do I make those babygrows for hospital, full arm and legs or short sleeves or short legs and long arm etc. I know newborns have bad temp control but does this mean they overheat too?
