Had an emergency c section at groote schuur. I did a full circle. My 1st ultra sound was done here and i told the horrible woman i was not done here and i would be back and i would be giving birth here. She wasn't impressed with me. But i got the last laugh.
The doctor is busy with my discharge papers. And then have to get my wound bandage changed and then wait for the paed to discharge my son and we can go home. Yay.

Well at least you can go home today, which may be more comfortable for you.

Meags - glad you feeling better- so you are starting self induction procedures now? You want your baby to come and I want mine to stay put until the end of April lol. Will either of us win? I wonder...

Emsmom- is Em feeling better yet, awful when they are sick! Matthew has had a runny nose and bad chest this week, but no fever- am hoping it clears up this weekend or I guess we will be off to the doctor again.

Kimika- growth spurts can be tough - what is EBM? And I agree with Meags, we are dying to see more baby picsxx


AFM. I have been looking for a stand for a Moses basket that I got given. I saw one at woolies yesterday, but I'm not sure it will fit in. According to the dimensions, the length is fine, but the width is slightly too wide. I'm not sure that the width would actually matter though because there is nothing blocking the width on the stand.
Aah well perhaps I should just get it and return it if it does not fit.
Do any of you know where else one could just buy a stand? Also I am looking for new linen and a mattress for the basket.

Starting to realize that I doo have a lot of organizing to do.

Schatsie has a pick for you girls. This phone won't allow me to put pics on here for some reason.
Meags i am hand expressing for now and he is drinking from a cup. Ill be using my electric pump when i get home and then a bottle. I am not going to formula feed. Going to keep trying to get baby to latch properly when at home as well as ill have my nipple shields there.
Meags your husband and mine sound exactly the same when it comes to sex and intamicy. My husband had the same excuses except he wasn't even working. Thank heavens that is almost over.
I haven't advertised on facebook that baby has been born because my husband and his family are spying on it. Ill tell him about the birth sometime i guess. He will see when we have to go to shariah court.
Other than that lucy i also carried very small and baby weighed 3.245kg. Goes to show if you eat right you carry a bigger baby.. Both my sons born the same time, but Sulaiman was 700g less. My mom did a good job of making sure i ate right. My husband didn't.

Cath, ag Im soo with you on the zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.. had 4hours sleep on Thursday, about the same last night so I feel like a complete zombie!! We should have known the "babymoon" wasnt going to last forever!

Lucy, ahh greatness.. You are probably thrilled at the idea of meeting your Tessa sooner Fab job on breeding such a healhty baba in your tiny body!! I told you looong ago your going to have a big baby There really are a lot of big babies around!!

My first boy was 3.2kg at birth and wore his smallest newborn stuff only once while in hosp. Then from there went about 3 -4wks in bigger newborn before going onto 0-3.

Reuben is prob now about 3.3kg. Yesterday I packed away all his smallest newborn goodies that he has worn in hospital up to now, he is wearing the bigger newborn stuff but still not 0-3. I have no idea what is lenght is now.. want to actually measure him tonight. Maybe pack 2 small things and the rest bigger? Then you can see as you go after he is born?

Meags, your hubby kinda has a twisted sense of intimacy and sex!!?? Its not just about *getting it done*.. dammit.. its meant to be a bit more than that! argh .. how frustrating for you.. I think you prob sometimes want to slap him and have him wake up!! How selfish to want a better *ending* to his little bit of enjoyment and there you are all frustrated and you cant to anything about that aaiii..

On a lighter note.. Im with Lucy, I think Matt is going to be bigger than you expect.. he is baking well in there

AFM: REuben is def also in a growth spurt. Shoo.. Im exhausted !! He drinks every 1 1/2hrs to 3hrs. I gave him 50ml EBM today because he just wouldnt settle and Im all floppy and empty. So finally he has settled and been sleeping about 4hrs!! Hectic I tell you

Spoke to epidural dr's receptionist yesterday to tell her how happy I was with his procedure. She said that he travels to different hospitals. So I was thinking if any of you are in pta and planning to do epi, I will def recommend him for that walking/light epi!!

Faw really hope you get to go home soon. You will feel so much better being in your own environment. Are they giving your son a bottle in the meantime or are you perservering with the breastfeeding?
