Morning girls

Phew you chatted a lot yesterday, or maybe it is just that I wasn't signed in all day and therefore had a lot to catch up.

Meags your pic is lovely! Can't wait to see the rest! And SO glad you don't have GD after all!!

Misty thanks for the Woollies nursing bra link! I was telling hubby last night how gr8 you all are and how much I've learnt from you! This weekend I have to make a trip to Game for the border and Woollies for the bras and Edgars to exchange the pink Tommy Tippee bottles we bought by accident. My husband is adamant that his laaitie won't drink from pink bottles. LOL

I'm still in bed with my horrible cold. It has moved to my chest just as I was worried it might. I went to the pharmacy yesterday and they only gave me Medi-Keel for the sore throat, very frustrating, so I phoned my gynae this morning and he is faxing me a prescription for stuff I can take. I suffer from asthma, so I get bronchitis, etc. very quickly and don't want to take any chances with being PG!

I was wondering if my little man also gets sick when mommy is sick. He sure didn't like all the coughing last night and was super active. Not sure who said this, but our LB is also super active when daddy touches my stomach, but when anyone else tries to feel him kick he stops moving completely! My sister has tried to feel him numerous times, but no luck whatsoever, yet when DH and I are alone in the evenings he always moves a lot!

I'm 30 wks tomorrow. Time does fly, but I still wish it could go faster! I have my next gynae appt on Monday, then it will be exactly 2 months to my C sec date. And another 6 wks before ML.

Mistymom, strange.. they refuse to pay gynae consults now without motivation from my gynae!

I packed in a oversize tshirt and a pair of preggie pants I can ruin without worrying.. but when I got there they gave me the hospital gown and really I didnt give a damn! LOL.. actually its not like there was time for walking around. But normally you would labor in whatever you feel comfortable in.. honestly I feel that being naked is the most comfortable.. hehe.. thats why I dont mind the hospital gown.

  :silly: :silly: :silly:    AnjeD - you just made my morning. Was reading your post and you wrote about the ugliest pjs ever! I dont know why i found it so funny, guess cos we have all been having such pajama struggles....its so sad that e are forced to buy ugly pjs that it is funny!

Anyway girls.....just anouther silly Q (maybe Joli and Kimika can let me kno wwhat they wore) what do you give birth in? Presume if c section in those horrible hospital gowns...but if natrual what do you wear? XX large t shirt? Hubbys old t shirt? a night dress? Presume it gets ruined?!

Oh yes and Kimika...re your PMB. I have my pregnancy approved on a PMB in September last year. I had 8 gynae consultations pre approved as an out patient. They carried over to this year and I still have 2 left. They have all come from my PMB...so surley if they had already pre approved it they cant change it? (discovery classic saver)

yay off to see some clients now....this office is just to stuffy !!

OOOH when are we having our next baby??? Bet by the time i have my little chipolata you will all be so busy with your newborns I will be chatting to myself!

Morning girls!

Sorry, last night I still had 2 pages to read and had to post when Reuben woke up :)

Now both boys are sleeping!! hehe.. great timing!

Cath, ahhh bliss being on maternity leave!! Now you can get all settled and ready for little William :) Soon now my friend, just enjoy all the special time with him inside. Prep some food in advance, that along with laundry is going to be your hardest challenge ;) Cant wait to hear what gynae says.. do you think he will do an internal examination?

Jess, I also got a cold exactly a week before Reuben was born.. only took my last antibiotics yesterday! If you feel it moving to your chest rather take the antibiotics so that it can clear up fast... Regarding your situation with your big baba.. I think Emsmom gave you some good advice, the lenght does make a difference and the head goes first so ask your gynae about those measurements. I really hope all goes the way you want.. can you imagine.. I wanted my baba to grow more and you want yours to slow down.. moms will never be happy hey? LOL Some advice I can give you is to do lotsa walking and hopping on birthing ball. Im sure being so active the last few weeks made Reuben come earlier.. with my first I was very lazy!

Meags, those pics are amazing!! You look so good :) What did your hubby say on seeing you so gorgeous? Yipeee on great results, enjoy your cookies!! Pietertjie is doing ok, cute as always.. not really bothered with the new baba. But I noticed this morning that he is doing funny bits of things to draw my attention.. so I spent most of the morning playing with him and just giving him lotsa love.. thank goodness Reuben is still in sleepmode!

Emsmom, fantastic that your baba has turned!!!! All going according to plan so far! Dont bother about the weight for now.. maybe baba will slow down a bit? How exciting.. I cant wait for your birth!

So we had a great first night home.. Reuben got bathed at 8 only
 but then got his boobie and slept until 1am, splash and dash and slept again until 6 :) His brother on the other hand woke up twice! hehe..

Oh and my milk came in somewhere during yesterday which is fantastic (although a little eina) because now Reuben can drink his tummy full and sleep long! Before that they only sleep bits because they feed often. I know the great sleeping will only last a few more days so Im enjoying every bit.

Im now really happy that I still had got my normal delivery with only a few stitches.. I could feel yesterday just being home and having to do normal household tasks made me tired! My back was so sore.. I just cant imagine having to have pain and 2 boys to take care off! aiiiiii!

I still have to type up the birthstory while its fresh.. will try later on.. have laundry to do ..

AFM: I have been busy the last week, busy at work and every day after work some or other function or thing we had to do.

Can't remember who gave the woolies link to the nursing bra's and who gave the UIF info, but thank you, it is really helpful.

I bought the ugliest pajamas at Edgars last night, but it will have to do, I don’t want to wait too long to get it and I cannot seem to get nice ones anywhere else.

I had a horrible dream the other night, L pushed her foot right through my belly and then I struggled to get to the hospital and then I realised my hospital bags are not packed yet. I will have to do that this weekend.

I was really uncomfortable yesterday, but I am much better today.

It is weird how L is really busy, but when you want to show her off to people, she will not move until they left, but she can be completely still for a long time and as soon as daddy touches the belly she moves, how does she know it is him. It is amazing !!!

Enjoy your day ladies !!! It is almost weekend.

Good morning ladies

Hope you are all well.

Jessica, wow, it’s big decision you have to make. Marie on the other thread had a baby of 3.9 kg’s on Tuesday naturally, so it is possible. Can’t your mother or friend look after B if you have to go for a C-Section, might make it a bit easier for both you and hubby.

Lucy, your belly is gorgeous !!!! Tessa is so cute !!!

Betty, aagh that is just too cute of your son kissing your tummy. Special moment !!

Faw, wow, glad you weren’t scared of the shadow watching over your dad, I think I would have been.

Mistymom, I am so with you on the bra’s, but I have decided to wait until after the birth or breastfeeding, don’t want to spend money now on something that I might only use for a couple of weeks. But congrats on finding bras that fit you nicely, the bomb scare sucks however. You have a beautiful bump !!! You have such a handy man, love the shelves. And your cats are too cute !! Glad you are feeling better today.

Tazzy, enjoy your last two weeks, even though you have to drive between you and your parents house and good luck with your LG.

Emsmom, hope you enjoyed your night out with the new parents cocktail. So glad your scan went well, it is a good weight. Love the belly !! Wow, sounds like you have a busy day – good luck !!

Karin, the heat was unbearable here in PTA as well last week, or maybe it was just me, but hope you get some rain or something soon to break the heat.

Joli, loved your first pics, looks like Kayla is following in mommy’s footsteps. I hate medical aids, you pay so much for just in case and then they don’t cover everything, but thank you for mentioning your issues with Discovery, I will have to speak to my gyne re the pead etc. she is using and how it all works, before L is born.

Meags, wow that is a lot of money to pay for all those tests. Yikes !! Congrats on the negative results and yeah on your cot being ready !! Shame your poor little kitties, I can just imagine. DH sucks for not giving you a proper back rub !! PS: I also thought my belly was not that big, but phodies tell me another story – so know what you mean (But I still think it is not that big) – love your pics.

Schatsie, oh no, look after yourself, I was home last week with bronchitis and still not 100 %, so I know the feeling – Sleep, rest and lots of fluid helps a lot. Hope you are feeling better soon !! I totally agree with you, if DH knows you are not well, he should look after you, don’t think you over reacted.

Cath, lucky you, enjoy your ML. Looking forward to your news from gynae.

Claire, awesome, enjoy your 4D scan !!!!

Meags - fantastic about the result. I have a friend in a very similar situation re sex - and I agree intimacy is very important! I really really hope your DH makes some drastic changes even if it is after M's birth, but he also needs to meet you halfway.

Betty - its R 600 for the full service and they give a very easy 37 page pack to go through - they are based in PTA. I agree about not going to UIF, my closest one is near the Germiston taxi rank - um not going there!! your experience sounds horrible and they are so unhelpful.

Emsmom - wow 2.2kg already shoo wee! hope your dh is better soon. have they confirmed it is a boy or is that your gut feel?

Kimika - your Rueben is the cutest thing ever - I like his facial features. I was telling my dh about your 2 kids and how different but the same they look - he said that is so cute.

Jessica – I think you may be our next thread mommy.

Mistymom - I hope you feel better today. yay on 31 weeks tomorrow.

AFM: Watching to see who our next mom will be. Got my 4d scan today at 17h30 so cannot wait!

Have an awesome day!
