Sjoe Karin - you are def much bigger - nice round tummy.

Sorry girls don't have time to reply to all personals. I'm going to the hairdresser just now with Megan and before that I need to feed Callum - gonna leave him with Dorcas - shame hope he will be OK. Also need to fetch Kayla and a friend from school today and I need to bake or buy a cake for Callum - he is one month old today and I want to take a nice pic of him in the studio as well.

Em's Mom - the more I hear, the more I realize my c-section was just one horrible experience :-(. When they put the catheter in, the nurse just came and opened my legs - shame the gynae assistant was standing on that side and you could see he was actually getting a bit uncomfortable and he move away to my side! There were a lot of people in the theater. But ya, I'm over that now. I'm starting to just accept the whole thing and glad Callum is doing well.

Cath - with Kayla - natural birth / 1st born - she was born on the Friday and the Tuesday when I took her to show off at work, my tummy was flat - still remember wearing a tight fitting white top. With Megan the same, but my tummy never went tight again cause I didn't gym anymore. So when I fell pregnant this time, I wasn't overweight, but my tummy was a bit flabby. It's been a month now and I still can't fit into all my clothes comfortably. My tummy is still quite a bit big. If I pull it in, I don't look pregnant, but I guess I can pass for pregnant if I don't pull it in.

Kimik - sorry didn't want to sound rude in my PMB post - only realized afterwards that I might sound rude to you. I mailed a pic :-).

Oh - CATH - ENJOY YOUR LAST WEEKEND OF BEING PREGNANT! HOW AWESOME AND GLAD YOU ARE HAPPY AND AT PEACE WITH YOUR DECISION. Now I can't wait for Monday!

But ya who knows, maybe Karin will surprise us with a little girly over the weekend!

Karin- your tummy really has grown! Maybe you'll be in line before me? How are the pains down under?

Cath - I'm having a caeser on 2 march. But so worried that I'll go into labour before then.

OK so from now on I type all my replies on a word doc first – another long post lost! 

Thanks to everyone for the warm wishes!  We are terribly excited and slept long and well – the sign of a good decision! 

Poor Kaylae! Meags you are right my gynae also said look the chord around the neck at 38 wks (never mind at 32 weeks) definitely does not call for a c-section, only if it’s twice around and even then at that early date they would consider lots of things. funnily enough my gynae said to me just yesterday if they had to react on every ‘potential’ threat they’d be whipping out babies at 25 weeks as a rule! I hope she takes some comfort in your experience and knowledge and knows that the path was the path regardless of what she did or didn’t do. Shame man and her poor dh sounds like he is in bits too. Very very sad. I hope she knows that out of the greatest sadness the greatest happiness can and does come but I guess for now it’s just enough to take one day at a time.

Tazzy I assume you are having natural? Ja, I read a ton of stuff – all equally unhelpful about when it’s ‘time’ looking forward to hearing wha the experienced mommas have to say. I’ve heard/read: ‘you’ll know’ (thanks!) and go to hospital when it’s too sore (!!) to speak or walk hello!? Also the show could go on for like a week I’ve heard. Waters breaking is a great sign however only 10% of us get that?! Definitely ask your gynae too!

ClaireC! What a beautiful little baba!!! Oh my word, lovely face!!! And I love the foot right up and so perfectly formed, William used to do that too – too cute!!!!

Meags, I know those back pains I found a really good preggy masseuse and went weekly for the last few weeks made SUCH a difference, see if you can find someone in Miami I am sure there are TOnS! What’s the weather like there by the way>?? Are you near the seaside/? Is it pretty!? What’s the food like? Do they have like a young mothers thing you can join to meet other mothers you know like we have here. Ooh it’s very exciting being in a totally new country hey, although I am sure you miss your family and friends terribly! Imagine all the divine clothes you can buy after Matthieu arrives lucky thing!!!!

How long does one REALLY look preggy for after birth and c-section in particular!??! Joli, you were thin to start with, how long did it take you to look non pregnant?!?! I am hoping a week MAX!>!>

Karin divine pics and Lucy yay re diabetes test results!!

Have a lovely day ladies got tons to do. Won’t be able to drive – my gynae says 2 weeks but thank God my mom will be here for first week which is probably why I’m not overly nervous of starving William or anything like that?!?!?

Morning girls! :) Friday!! yeah!

Meags - Gosh, just throwing the battery over the wall!! What were they thinking??! I would definitely complain.. imagine you had a dog and he/she ate the thing up??
Sorry about the back ache... :( You should try lying a luke warm bath maybe..would be even better if you could get into a pool with warmish water, it would help so much.
Shame :( Its still so sad about Kaylae... My heart bleeds for her and her mom really sounds a bit heartless and unsuportive, that's so unfair to tell her it's her fault!
Yuck! at the placenta thingy!! :side: Will NOT be doing that ever.

EmsMom - Sheez.. gave me goosebumps there with your prediction! LOL, I wouldn't mind if Kiana comes sooner, but it's still a scary thought because of my planned c-section. :) Will have wait and see, she might just be the odd one out and stick till the end! LOL
Sjoe, you are brave to not be worried about such a big baby! But I guess if you have done it before and it was fine, you're comfortable with the thought again. :) And bigger babies do handle easier I know.

Lucy - Glad your Diabetes tests came back negative too! Good luck with the iron deficiency, you should be able to sort that out quick enough.
RE the tank tops - I think I bought those at normal Mr. Price, they are the ribbed tank tops type, but the soft sort. Very comfortable and I just bought much bigger so that it can slip off my shoulder easy and also be more bulky around my waist as one still looks preggies afterwards. They were about R30 each I think.

Betty - Oh you lucky girl!! :P Enjoy U2!!! Im very jealous, would have loved to go, and would have been there too if I wasn't so far along already. And yes, you're right, the last month really drags so much!

Claire - So happy that you loved your 4D, very nice pics you still got! That little face is sooo cute!

AFM: Just happy its Friday. :) Slept very badly again last night, so darn tired today - AGAIN. LOL... this seems to be the norm these days. Oh! And we are looking at buying a new house as the owner of this one we are renting does not want to sell to us. :( We really wanted to buy this house, but he's not interested right now. So we have been looking at some houses and saw one on Monday that was really nice, just needs some TLC and its a bit pricey... But last night we put in a lower offer - EEEEKKKK :S :X :pinch:  - and now we are waiting for their answer.... Sheez, very nervous today.

Cath- woohoo! You must be so excited! So it looks as though we are popping according to our list (except for Joli) so does that mean that I'm next after you.

Meags - that placenta thing is gross, I would never attempt anything like that!

Kimika - glad you are doing well at home. It must be difficult trying to juggle attention between two kids. I'm not looking forward to that, as Hannah is always in need of attention.
How's the bf going?

Lucy - yes finally we have had some average days! Not too hot. I actually slept with me duvet on me last night!
When do you go on maternity leave?

Okay my brains not functioning - can't remember anything else!

With my caeser - I also had a hospital gown on in theatre. They just pulled it up to the top of my tummy, and then put all those sterile sheets over my legs.
They also did my catheter after my spinal, which I will request they do again. I've heard its quite painful.

Okay so I would just like to know from all the ladies that have gone into labour before what I should look out for. With my previous preg, I just had a bloody show and got a fright and rushed to the maternity ward. I had my caeser that evening.
So now I'm wondering how I will know if I'm going into labour?
