As for the ugly pj's I am still looking.....lol don't really want ugly ones... I have a nice pair of maternity pj's that I had with first pregnancy that I bought from edgars. Wish I could find something like that again...

Meags - how are the kitties? I certainly hope they don't throw the tv over the wall - lol
Thanks for keeping us posted on kaylae... I think of her so much and hope and pray she will get through this time.
That placenta drink is sooo gross. When I did antenatal classes, they brought us a fresh placenta to look at it was gross. But it was amazing that they could tell by the state of the placenta that the mother had smoked.

Kimika- so pleased that you are happy and at home. Enjoy the " honeymoon" period. Did you breadtfeed your first baby?

Lucy - what do you have to take for iron? Enjoy the outlaws visit..

A good day to everyone xxxx

Yay, another baby soon- cath enjoy your last few days...
I too would have made the same decision... Isn't it amazing that they can tell that the cord is around the neck, and stop complications from happening... I had a non elective c section with Matthew, the experience of the operation was not bad at all everyone was relaxed and joking and I felt quite at ease. I did feel strange that I was lying there half naked with a team of people over me though... I had a hospital gown on.

I was first in labour for about 14 hours, after my waters having broken- they brought the contractions on- and then Matthews heart rate dropped so had to have a c section. When I was in labour I had to stay on the hospital bed so that they could monitor me and baby. It was terrible not being able to move during contractions- so I kept telling them I needed to go to the toilet-lol. Anyhow when I was in the labour ward I was wearing. Hospial gown too.

So pleased Friday is finally here. Off to see U2 this evening. .. No wind please Kaapies...

Cape Town ladies- 12.30 suites me also.

Faw - not too long for you now! The last month or so is always the hardest and for me I remember last time dragged on and on...

Schatsie - how are you feeling? So hope that you get better very soon.

Three and a half pages !! Let's see how well I do!

Kimika - I have also got the cutest baby buffalo and cheetah. We have a pharmacy near by that has a lot of stuffed toys and animals, but I try to stay away as I just spend money. We saw the cutest wild dog at Kruger ......... so wish we had got it!
Whoop whoop for the milk, how did it go with the lactation lady?

Tazzy - No problem. Murphy's!!! I was so jealous of your cooler weather I actually did a bit of shopping before heading down the hill. It was 24 -26 while I was there at 33- 35 back in durbs. The trips are hard but I have to work, my back is taking the strain. I plan on getting sleep once Tessa is here. Don't laugh ..... I am sure it will still be more than now.

Anje - I have also done the Mr P sport bottom thing. What a scary dream! I had a similar one about a week ago. The hand didn't come through my tummy but moulded around it (like cartoons) and the hand was gnarled just like a witches!!

Claire - How did the 4D go? I am trying the SL out. No change yet but early days!!

Schatsie - get better soon, poor you!! hugs xx

Karin - A friend had what you had. She used to fill condoms with water and freeze them and then put them along her "lips' to relieve the pain! Can you explain your tank tops more as I am not happy with the tops I got!

Cath - Whoop whoop whoop. I would have made the same decision. The whole umbilical cord thing freaks me out. I agree an emergency c/s sucks compared to a planned one.

Emsmom- I also noticed the "she" comments. But I know what you mean by "it" being uncool. So jealous on the flat tummy genes....... and of course it will be the same for you again this time. :)

Meags - That is too gross for words. I would also be locking my kitties up pronto. Naughty monkeys!!

Afm - My diabetes tests have also come back negative but I am anaemic even though I have been taking chela preg since TTC days. So have to get a script for something or other.
My baby bag is packed and hospital bag is 90% done.
My best friend from CT (the one that has had 4 failed IVF's) is coming for the weekend, whoop whoop. Then on monday the outlaws and some arrive. Grrrrrr!

MC in Jan 2010 (7wks)
TTCing for 1st Baba since June 2009

oooohhhh I forgot to tell you ladies something so disgusting!!!!!

Apparently here, it is a big thing to dehydrate your placenta and have it put into a capsule!!! then you drink that capsule to help you stabilise your hormones post birth...

ok some of you may think thats quite cool. But I think that is so weird and so gross!!!!!!

hehe EmsMom they are back inside now!! After seeing him trying to escape up the tree and over the fence - it's enough for now!! Maybe later this afternoon again (although he is driving me MAD meowing at the door!)

Claire enjoy your scan!!!!! You should be posting for us in the next hour or so (I hope!)

Anje - shame I hate those funny dreams. And they are SO real!! Not long for us now!! I am getting so excited and impatient!
Yesterday I had this feeling that no matter what I do - I am going to go post dates....

EmsMom - your baba is so nice and big!! Big babies are just SO cute at birth!!!!

Karin - not long for you now either. I am so jealous of all you ladies that are so close! It is just too exciting!!!!
as for those pains and swelling. I know Aspoertjie on the other thread had the same thing. And her gynae said it is normal, it's the weight of the baby and the body preparing...

Faw - you are also almost at the 'term' mark now! When is your next scan??

gosh ladies my back is sore! I'm dying!! but it's like where my bra strap is, so not lower back. thank God DH FINALLY rubbed my back last night (even if it was just 3-4 minutes long!). But today it is just as sore as before :(

Kaylae is doing so so. I speak to her almost each day on facebook. She is having problems with her mom. Her family has seperated her and her DH and said they have to be apart for 2 weeks otherwise all her future pregnancies will end this way. (their cultural beliefs).
Her DH is seriously depressed and has even said he wants to join Tshami in heaven - he cant handle being alone.
Kaylae is very upset with her mom as she feels she is not supporting her at all. I'm not sure if she'll follow through with staying away from DH just to please her family or go ahead and do what SHE wants to do for herself and her DH.
She saw the gynae a few days back just for a check up and says she realised she is not ready to be around people.
Her mom is also saying that Kaylae is the reason her baby died! She says if she had chosen to see a gynae from the start (like her mom suggested) instead of a GP, Tshami would still be alive as they would have picked up on the cord around the neck. I tried explaining to her that even a gynae seeing that, at 32 weeks he is not going to do an emergency caesar unless he could see the heartrate being affected or the cord was around more than once.
Shame...I really feel for her. Doesnt seem like she has the support she needs
