Mistymom - so true - I nearly lost DH in a bad car accident 4 years ago so I live by that principle its always sad to hear about partners unexpectedly passing... hee hee on the wiggler

Just a quick update (I'll be back for personals later)

Saw gynae this morning - Amelia is a hefty 2.95 kgs already and is measuring a week or so ahead. He said she looks healthy and my placenta is good. So that was my last scan, next time I see gyn will be in 3weeks at hospital for my caeser.
I also asked if there were any signs that would possibly go into labour earlier and he said she hadn't engaged yet so I should last for another 3 weeks.

Emsmom - well done on starting massage...i better start soon. Bought the Perinial massage cream (R79 motercare range from woolies) and DH seemed to not mind when I asked him to be the daily massager...

Oh ya lastly....Saw on Mommalicious Mama's that one of the ladies on that website (who has a baby and toddler) lost her DH in the plane crash at plet yesterday! It made me realise just how short life is. I am really sad fo her ...so girls love your partners (even when they are annoying!)

Kaylae basically the massage is like this:

Place your thumbs about 1 to 11/2 inches (three to four centimeters) inside your vagina. Press downward and to the sides at the same time. Gently and firmly keep stretching. As you keep pressing with your thumbs, slowly and gently massage back and forth over the lower half of your vagina, working the lubricant into the tissues. Keep this up for three to four minutes. This helps stretch the skin much in the same way that the baby's head will stretch it during birth.

Kimika, I'm insisting DH does it so I can train myself to relaxx down there - after 5min I tell him he can stop and then we get to the fun part.

Lucy, Im also not doing any *nipple preparation* .. Im bargaining on not having any problems after the breastfeeding lady has seen me. But some sun is always a excellent idea, even after baby is born to dry them out after a feed. But the rule is not to tan through a window.. they say its not the same as direct sun. I used lansinoh and calendula but eventually stopped both and felt it was better to just *air* them and have them dry out. I agree on the breastmilk working wonders. So this time Ive only got a bit of lansinoh left, not buying anymore.. will do so if I feel the need.
