Schatsie I feel the same - I have actually not worn pants in a while - live in dresses or when I'm home my satin nighty or sarong. And yip - wait till your milk really comes in, it can seriously spray!

Kimika has the question come to mind yet? 2cm is fine - although a bit of a shock to hear - I was the same with em from around 32w. Nice slow un-noticable dilation is cool regardless its not long now - and next week you're full term anyways

Lucy I agree - and honestly I've seen some huge tummies on MEN in less than I wear when I swim - so I'm really past caring now.

Joli I also would have flipped - I always asked people to wash their hands before touching Em - and I make sure I do the same before I hold a baby. its just commen sense, esp with a premmie. Well enjoy the sleeping lots now - I tell you once he reaches his due date he'll wake up

misty, glad you are feeling better - maybe something your tummy just didn't want in it. And dont worry about the BB request - I get e-mails throughout the night cause half our company is US based - so I put my phone on silent and then check them at my wee wake up call

betty glad the scan went well! And really dont worry about the weight, you are actually supposed to gain at least 12kg.

Betty and Shatsie - and other CT moms - when you want to do coffee? Does a Sat or Sunday suit?

AFM, I had like 4 ice showers last night just to be able to sleep nicely - today sitting with every door and window open. On my birthing ball now. Need to start getting this body labour ready

CathM-On yes the power of faith my dear;nothing will stand in our way for natural Yay.Both DH and I are short but Tshami's legs are tall my father's genes are too strong,no doubt about that.
Kimika-boy oh boy 2cm at 36 weeks Yay.I am so praying that Tshami comes at 38 weeks.My dr said that scan pics now don't look cute as the baby has grown etc. so yaah from now on nothing to show DH.Guess you'll birth in feb and not March.Yay we cannot wait for another baby.

Joli-In our african culture new borns don't get visitore nor the mom leave the room till baby's cord falls off.People come with lots of gems,I do understand why you did that Callum is still very small and fragile.

Misty-Today I am wearing breat pads as my boobs are really leaking and leaving me all wet.

Betty-I really doubt that she wants to make amends,africans and voodoo are best friends.I will advise that you get the hospital bag and then you will check M's stuff and see what you will still use.

AFM-Coughing really bad.The pills that I am drinking had made Tshami to stop kicking I only feel stretches I got a maid but will start in March,I really needed the help with the house chores etc.My boobs are leaking like an open tap Those that I do not have on FB I need to add you ladies as when I go on maternity leave I won't have access to internet and will need to update

Cathm interesting about the pineapple! I googled it now and many websites mention it. I think I am most definitely eating them at 37 weeks and sommer trying ALL the other ideas too! I REALLY want my baby to come 2 weeks early so that it can be on my dad's birthday and I can have more time with him at home. And because I'm so impatient to meet him. Besides he's always measured 2 weeks larger than average, so he will be fully grown by then.

JOLI I agree, someone else should have a baby soon - I also want to see more baby pics! Just as long as everyone else don't have their babies before me!

Gee girls, I have to share this: Last week I squeezed my nipples to see if I have milk again. BUT, I nearly fainted with shock when I saw about 6 or more tiny drops on each nipple! Until now I had always thought that we have only one hole per nipple (like cats, dogs, cows, etc.)! I had absolutely NO idea that our nipples actually looks like sprinkler heads with numerous holes! LOL! Am I the only idiot who NEVER knew this until now?! Gee, the surprises of pregnancy never cease to amaze me!

Morning ladies. Quickly want to do a catchup before my son wakes up.. and still want to read my hypnobirthing book.. dammit Im only halfway through it!!!!! Seems every time I sit down to read someone or something happens that makes me lose concentration..

Schatsie, sorry wanted to comment yesterday on your belly Cant believe how much it has grown since you last posted a pic!! You must be so proud of your bump and its def looking like a good preggy belly there Enjoy!

Lucy, ahh man, enjoy those bra's! Im not going to order for now.. Im so broke!! LOL Ive been thinking about the enema again last night and I think Im considering to still buy one. Still rather do it at home myself than have someone else do it. Its just that I thought it would be more of a setpill kinda thing than a bottle!? Anyone have any experience in this?

Cath, I actually enjoy having someone with exactly the same due date to share and compare But I did do some googling and have found quite a lot of ladies saying you can even go 3cm for a month! So I told hubby Im taking it day by day or should I rather say week by week. I would still prefer to go 40wks rather than before that.

Joli, ag man post a pic of Callum!!! How is the breastfeeding going? Ah I wish I was there to see your little girl's face at seeing his willy! Much different he must look than her sister I hope your friend gets over being upset... she really needs to understand. I mean its real that newborns should be kept away from nasty bugs and stuff and even so much more for Callum and its not you being unfair, you are just protecting him. I know a LOT of ladies who wont let people hold their babies and if they do they have to wash and disinfect their hands before. My hubby even insists on it in the first few days.. me ofcourse is always too shy to tell people to do it so Im actually proud of you for standing up for your baba hehe

Betty, I think its a good idea to start with getting the stuff ready and bought for the hospital bags, and then from there move to goodies you will need in the first 2 weeks or so. You can always go buy from there on as you need.

Ok so Ive blown my chances for reading my book Son is up and about .. shame he had a cough last night.. think its the chickenpox injection giving some symptoms now. Anyway, have a great day everyone!!

Morning all

An early start again for me. DH off to Durbs for work for the day. Luckily it's just for the day. So back home 2 night.

Scan went well yesterday, all is well with baby. 28 weeks and weight is 1,2 kg. My weight has gone up to 79 kg which is depressing. I think I started at 74. Will have to check the record. Next scans 23 Feb and then 14 March. Gynae gave me the forms to complete to book myself into the hospital. Preadmission forms, so everything is getting more real now. Baby has turned back to bum down and kicking on my bladder. It's not that great still needing the toilet every 2 minutes.

Been thinking of starting to buy stuff for the baby, but not sure where to start. Perhaps I should start with the hospital bag and then get all of M's stuff out the garage to see what I need.

Kayle - seems like ur ex friend is trying to make amends. Anew baby brings so much joy, she also wants to share in it. I have been in a similar position. It's really hard to know what to do...

Emsmom- a coffee would be great.

Schatsie - tell me about the heat I struggled last night. Sat in the lounge with the fan on me for ever. And eventually went to bed and overheated. It's not too bad at work because the zircon is on ice cold so I normally have to wear a jersey. Go figure

Meags - so sorry that you are having a hard time! That company does sound so full of pooh at times! Shame you really do not need that kind of stress! His company really should not be sending him away so soon to your DD! SO glad you have a nice midwive!!! Cant wait to hear all about her!

Rakker - you so right...it is getting close....when i have not been on for a day and see so many pages i start getting excited that maybe somebody has had a baby! Ya know teh feeling of waiting for a scan...i have a week still to wait!! This week 28 and 29 seems to be dragging...just want o get past 30...think then things will seem very real!

Tazzy - yes those feelings are great? I love them so much...i am loving teh movemnt i feel now, not kicking but like twisting an dmoving...its great

Good on you for wearing shorts...ya this CT weather has been really hectic, but i was thinking at least when we home with baby (may, june, july) it will be wet and horrible and we can just hole up at home with our new borns ya a CT meet before we pop would be good! AFM - been so busy at work, DH away but back on Friday. Did all the baby clothes washing tonight - was os cute seen all teh little goodies hanging on the line! At least the MS is gone again...but now its the leaky boobs! Only seems bad at night time...its not a lot to justofy breast pads, just a littel damp patch hear and there! I saw in our local paper that for pregnany week the hopsital down the raod is having a day next week with all guest speakers frommidwives to peaatrictions and its free...so have booked that! Should be intresting an dwill hopefully learn a few things. All of a sudden I am realising that in about 2 months i will have my own little bundle of joy....exciting ans scary!!

Good night gitls an dHI to anybody I may have left out!! Will be MIA probably tomorrow again as crazy day at work (and wil probaby be exhausted as it does not seem that i am going to get much sleep tonight!

Newyum mum - you so right...we are all truelly blessed...now I just hope that the years of playing "dolly dolly" has given me a little practice on been a FTM! Also going to try push till the end at work....ahve told them a little white lie that my dd is actually 2 weeks after what it is! I want as much time at home with baby! Also keep those flip flops in the car!

Kimika - those BH sound hectic! Shame Hope you not getting a UTI..maybe baby is just pressing on bladder!? I often nee to pee and then sit on the loo and nothing! Sometimes i find leaning forwad helps get a dripple out! Yay on bag complete! Mine is half done! Clever idea re list fro hubbie just in case!

Jessica - wow no wonder you are feeling huge...you look huge...which i am sure means you are huge! Wish i only had 5 weels to go...those little baby feet in the pic are too sweet!
