Misty - Thanks for the reminder about take2 I had forgotten!! Men are impossible when they are not well. Well done for getting through it. DH is english and loves brussel sprouts too. I also hate them ...... they just plain stink! Good luck with the nursery.

Afm - I suspect my baby shower is on saturday Need to get everything ship shape by then.
Heart burn has also been bugging me lately........ gaviscon is my new BFF!! Yesterday my tummy went completely rigid and was so uncomfortable. It stayed the whole day and even this morning wasn't right, but much better now. I thought maybe a BH but can it last that long?!!

I got to see my angel in 4D today. Well what a little actress. She waved, gave us a peace sign, blinked, stuck out her tongue, sucked her thumb (we even got a dummy she sucked so much!!) We also got lots of full frontal shots which apparently only happens 1 in 5 scans. At the start she said she would do her best to get 5 good shots .......... she got 56 !!!! Here are a couple

It is now BOILING IN CT!!!! I have little rivers of sweat running from under my boobies down my bump...neeed to get int oa pool fast!!

Ja Emsmom, me too for a c-section I will go in at 38w 4 days too and as you say, if natural then if it's early then it's not a problem cause it's a different story altogether when your body's ready, your body's ready.

Schatsie the doc is right c-section too early is really not good! My gynae says 7 - 10 days before birth date is max he'll go. I did joke with him about hoping to get a bit of a reprieve i.e. 3 weeks off the pregnancy but he said sorry no!

Misty sounds like you had a great time all in all while on leave. Glad all is going well with the pregnancy as well.

Schatsie, if I go naturally into labour it should be fine, going into labour also helps the babies lungs prepare, rather than an early c-section date. if I go c-section it will be at 38w4d.

Em was born just shy of 37weeks and was 100%.

and now a bit of AFM...

On 23 December Dh went and spained his ankle. I got home from work at about noon and he was already home. My plan was not to move from home again until 27th but shame he was lying on the couch and in pain so I said I would go out and buy him a ankle gaurd and bandage. I have sprianed my ankle many times so kno whow it fells. I did RICE on him (rest, ice, compression and elevation)adn then went out to find teh ankle gaurd and bandage. Landed up going t 4 different pharmacys (this is in last minute shopping mall madenss) whe I was told taht what I wanted i could only buy at a hospital pharmacy. So went off to hospital pharmacy and at last got what I was looking for. Anyway got home 2 hours later adn DH decided that it was not sprained but broken (you know you cant arhue with a sick or injured man!). So loaded him up in the car, back to hopsital and 3 hours later home with sparined (not broken) ankle!. I think this is why women fall pregnant and not men!

24th Decemebr - ok so as mentioned above my plan was to re;ax at home nad not go anywher for a few days (except to midnight mass). But of cors due to DH now sprained ankle all of a sudden his last minute jobs fell into my lap! So I spent christmas eve morning going to 4 different suprmarkets looking fro Brussel Sprouts ( i dont even like them which made my mission even worse!). But at least when got home i was there to stay! Mom and dad came around in evening and we had some lovely snacks and DH rested his ankle as he was doing the cooking next day.

25th Decemebr - GOT SO SPOILT!!! New CD palyer for car, laptop bag, external harddrive, lovely silver chain with a snowflake
(to remind me of my white christams last year) and then like a million smaller presents. My mom spoilt the little chipolata with loads of baby stuff (she even managed to find this fisherprice thing you put on the cot which I had as a baby and loved! - its basically an antique now but I have searched high and low for it so so glad she found one!). Ate way to much and left all my brussel sprouts!

26th Dec - boxing day braai at friends...DH seemed to froget about sprained ankle and was dancig with all the kiddies doing what he calls the "fliup flop shuffle". Was so nice watching him with loads of kddies in pool etc...can see he is going to be an amazing dad. He had had a few and kept on shouting at me from the pool that he wants 17 children!!!!!! was a great day (except that I could not have a nice glass of wine!)

27th - 31st...we just chilled at home, started to plan nusery coulours etc and did a lot of spring cleaning, tv watchging etc.

31st - left to go camping with a group of friends...had a really fantstic new years eve potjie and party. Woke up to thunderstorms and lightning (very very frightning) and we all decided to pack up and go home.

The rest of the weekend spent drying out and packing away teh camping stuff.

Then yesterday we went to Builders wharehouse and started to get paint for nursery etc.

Myself - heartburn has hit hard...still have what I call my hobbit feet. Next gynae appointment is Monday 10th. was ment to be tomorrow but changed it as DH is first day back at work tomorrow and feels bad to leave early.

My bump is growing nicely (really must get some pics up soon). Cant beleive that in less than 2 weeks I enter my last trimester!

All of a sudden the birth seems almost apon us! EEk...now styarting to panic that need to start my keegal exercises adn what oil are we ment to start rubbing between down there and the other?

Re Brazilian - good idea. Had my first one IN april (well what they call a hollywood - with a wee little landing strip)...think must go again for the birth!

Hi again all

Gee, we're having another HOT day in CT and our office aircon is not working AGAIN! Thank goodness we moved our home aircon from the dining room to the bedroom last week, so it's absolute bliss watching TV and sleeping there now!

Emsmom have you spoken to your gynae about delivering at 37 weeks? I was also keen on doing that, but miy gynae is VERY opposed to delivering anything earlier than 39 weeks. He says the baby's lungs are not 100% developed before that and that babies born earlier than that often have complications and end up in ICU.

Meags your bump doesn't look all that big in the latest photos! Maybe the other pics were just deceiving, so I won't worry too much about being too big!
