Phew, all done catching up the posts I missed while being on leave, so here are some personals:
Kimika, I'm SO sorry to hear about your dog. I have 2 Dachsies which are totally like my babies and every time I get home I anxiously await seeing them at the door waiting for me! I dread the day something has to happen to either of them - I will definitely mourn them like children for a very long time!!
Emsmom, glad to see I'm not the only one with a large baby on the way.

My dr said this morning that natural birth is only really safe up to 4 kgs, but then I was planning a Csec anyway, so it's no problem for me.
Cathm thanks for the tips on the Csec books - I'm also starting to think about getting more info on it now that I'm getting closer to my due date. My policy has been to only read up on things as I'm going thru it, otherwise I just feel SO overwhelmed by all the new info, but I'm starting to get curious about the birth now. I'm reading What to expect when you're expecting and so far it seems to cover pretty much everything I need to know. I must tell you girls about my new strange preggy thing - I'm growing lots of new little moles and existing ones are getting larger!! Very strange, but apparently quite normal. Guess I'll have to have some removed after the birth.
Cathm I also feel like I don't really want to travel much at this stage. On Boxing day we drove to Velddrif to see my in laws and I was quite uncomfortable and it was also the first time we really felt little Arno move. It seems he doesn't like travelling much, cause every time we drive he moves a lot - probably due to the car bumping. But I'm SO happy to finally be able to feel him and DH is also constantly putting his hands on my tummy and gets so excited when he feels the movements.
And thanks for the tip re only focusing on getting stuff for the 1st 3 months - that's pretty much what I've been doing. I don't want to be buying tons of stuff just so that it can gather dust until we need it!
Meags OMW what a nightmare experience you had at that French gynae!!! I would take it with a pinch of salt though seeing that I found most of the French people to be very rude at the best of times! You know the saying: France would be lovely but for the French!
AnjeD I would DEFINITELY recommend laminate flooring. It is far warmer than tiles - especially for a nursery. I put laminate flooring over all the tiles in my house about a year and a half ago and it has been SUCH a pleasure! If you're worried about water damage/mopping, what I would recommend is getting the "light industrial" class of flooring. I got it since my living room is next to the pool and I was worried about having little wet feet on my floors and I can honestly say that I have had NO problems with my flooring.
Joli sorry to hear about your heartburn! I've also had quite a bit of it lately - triggered seemingly mostly by bread (my favourite food!) and fizzy drinks. DH discovered Propan gel tho - it costs about a quarter of the price of Gaviscon and tastes a lot better too, while working just as well if not better, so well worth it!
