Claire, I'll find out this Thursday whether or not I'll be having a c-section and what date it is...if it is a c-section and things are as they were the last time he looked (am totally clueless as to what's gonna happen and DYING TO KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) then my delivery date will be 18th Feb.

That will mean going on maternity leave on 11th/14th Feb

If natural, well then my due date is only around 28 Feb/2 March so maternity will be a bit (but not much) later like the 21st Feb ish?

Gosh, I'm counting the SECONDS til I hear what is happening on Thurs!

I've had a few due dates - i.e. one from this doc (26 Feb) and one from Maryke 2 March - he is going by the 26 Feb date so if I have c-section it's literally only 8 days "early" which is nice.

Kimika - my boy is all good thanks for asking, my friends got lots of kicks on New Years so it was really nice to share that with them. we finally have a name but are keeping quiet til his birth, how is your boys name coming along?

I have copy and pasted my accident story from D&C thread. Sorry didn't feel like retyping bad news!

Well we had spent the day in the bottom part of the park and were headed back to where we were staying which was in the top of the park. A river had broken it's banks and we could not get through. So we had to go out the bottom gate, around the park and in the top gate (over 100kms!!) Anyway the surrounding area is very rural. I was driving my car with DH, Mom, brother and SIL. My Dad and sister were in the bakkie behind. Anyway 2 baby goats ran in front of me and I slammed on brakes. Dad's brakes locked and he started spinning and hit us behind with his side. I saw it all in the rear view mirror and saw Dad go over his steering wheel/ I thought I had killed my Dad. Brother started screaming at me to get off the road as so many taxi's come very fast on that road. Anyway had to move before checking Dad. He was fine and didn't go through the windscreen, but I can't get the image out of my head! Anyway the blessing is that he did hit us otherwise him and sister would have gone off the road and flipped as there was a huge donga. So hitting us actually saved them. Tessa started moving about 2 hours later so she is fine. I have my 4d scan tomorrow so I'll be able to make doubly sure.

Emsmom - Enjoy the classes! Hope you learn loads.

Schatsie - You do have a preggy belly!! How awesome. enjoy it I am so happy you had such a lovely scan and that things are looking great.

Claire - Oh dear a trip to the vet is never a fun experience. Hope they are brave!

Kimika - I am so lazy to go look, but didn't you have a scan today? Seem to remember you were first of the year, but then again would never trust my brain these days. Hee hee Enjoy if you do!

Cath - My craziness starts friday when I am back at work. So good luck getting through everything

Lucy, shoo how scary that you were in an accident!! Im really scared on the road these days.. driving around with my huge belly and a little guy in the carseat at the back changes one's perspective on the road!

Schatsie, ahh you sound so positive Im so glad all the amnio results came back with good news and that your dr is so happy with baby's development. Your look great and reall do look preggie.. no mistaking that bump Enjoy being back at work!

Emsmom, nope still havent found anything I like or can afford! Obviously if I wanted to spend like R700 I wouldve had one by now.. grrr... Anyway, will do some more snooping around later in the week. Enjoy your hypnobirthing classes!! Ive read my book halfway and its suuuper interesting how the body functions

Oh and one last thing from me, then I promise to keep quiet for the rest of the day.

We got a call from the Fetal Assessment Centre on the 31st to say that our baby's full culture results came back and everything is 100% normal!! We were so relieved that both DH and I were in tears and hugged and kissed each other!!

And I saw today that my medical aid actually paid almost R4000 of the R7500 of the amnio, after telling me they won't pay for any of it since it was supposed to come out of my savings which was depleted. What a nice New Year's bonus!!
