Hi Kaylae - thanks so much that does help! I know it seems terribly silly! LOL!

Lucy, glad you can relate a bit!

Kaylae gosh I so know what you mean about the HEAT! Joburg is blessedly cool today and we only seem to get a day or two of MAD HEAT at a time but I REALLY struggle. A few times I've had to go home from work and just pass out with the fan on the bed! Also night times I am a bit uncomfy when hot but all in all manageable! I feel I am getting bigger by the second LOL!!!! I HOIST myself up from bed these days!!!
I've been trying to keep up with my pilates (lol, on average once a week - preggy pilates) if I'm to have a c-section i know this will help in the long run!
Anyone else having a c-section that they're aware of and what preparation if any are you doing?? I discovered a wonderful book that's highly rated on amazon.com (maybe you can get it here too on kalahari?)
* The Essential C-Section Guide: Pain Control, Healing at Home, Getting Your Body Back, and Everything Else You Need to Know About a Cesarean Birth - Maureen Connolly
and
* Cesarean Recovery - Chrissie Gallagher-Mundy
I am only going by the reviews I read but will let you all know if any good!
Anje and Kaylae OMG was in pretoria the other day (my parents live there) and was VERY hot as you say, but good for you K for avoiding MUSINA! We had an invite to the dam (harties) and after saying yes I reflected on it and thought to myself am i MAD no travelling for more than 45 mins max and certainly no hot locations for me!
Meags I'm sorry your visit has been such a negative one culminating in the unpleasant gynae experience. All I can offer is that we attract more of what we focus on and you appear to have been focussing very much (only) on the negative of everything in France, so until you change your outlook you're probably going to get a lot more of that negativity. Be more positive and you will attract more positive things into your life. It's how life works in my humble opinion - not WHAT happens but how you respond to it, and that's what you'll get more of.
Emsmom, so nice about the kicks! It is a lovely feeling hey!
Kimika, thinking of you you must miss your dog a lot shame man.
Have a lovely day everyone!
PS Quick Question - I am so totally overwhelmed by the new baby lists, etc even though what Kimika shared was VERY helpful i'm like WHERE do we start. I got some good advice to ONLY focus on what's needed for first 3 months - i.e. not high chair for example.
What are the BASICS people are getting?
Here is my list (based on total and utter ignorance!)
1. Onesies/clothing/bibs/socks/hat as per average list
2. Swaddling stuff
3. Receiving blankets
4. Burping blanket type things
5. Nappies
6. All meds like wash, cream, etc as per your average list
7. Pram - with removable bassinet found a gorgeous one on amazong - Meags you are so lucky they have the BEST consumer and baby stuff in the states!!!
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002WB2GLG/ref...UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER
8. Moses Basket for next to bed for first 3 months
9. Car seat
Anything essential I've left out?
I think that's about it!?!??
