Hi Ladies,

Hope all is well !! Sounds like most of you had a wonderful Christmas.

I have finally catched up on the chats of the last couple of days.

Faw, so glad your dad is better already. How are u feeling ? Any news from SARS yet ?

Karin, wow I love your 4D pics, she is gorgeous !!

Mistymom, Did you get your cd player prezzieas you thought you would? I had a good laugh now about your dvd story, but I am so glad the scan went well.

Lucy, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your sister in SA. Is she still here? I am sure you enjoyed her visit. Wow, a message in hospital, that sounds divine !!

Claire, hope you are feeling better !!

Wow, Joli, hope you got some rest in between everything you had to do, sounds like you were really busy. But I love your Christmas phodies !!

Schatsie, wow R1900 for a bra ??? Crazy !!! Glad you found something else. I think 24 – 25 weeks is a great time for a 4D. I had one at 24.5 weeks and will be having another one (hospital freebie) at 29.4 weeks.

Meags, sounds like you are not having such a nice visit with the family in law, sorry hun, don’t worry, you will be in Miami soon. Sorry about your car !! Ouch, how is your leg ? What an awful experience with the gyne, it makes me appreciate the SA drs even more.

Emsmom, so glad your scan went well !! Baby is so sweet for pouting.

Kimika, ooooh no, sorry re the bacteria, hope it clears soon. I am so sorry re your staffie, absolutely know what you are going through, I still miss our yorkie that passed away 2 years ago.

Cath, glad you and Will are doing well !! Oh, and he is such a gorgeous little man !!

Kaylae, enjoy your visit with your family in Polokwane !! So glad you got your refund !!

Sorry if I missed someone !!

AFM: I had an awesome relaxing holiday, I am back now, but will only be back at work on Wednesday next week. We were suppose to go to Balito for the weekend, but hubby decided not to go. I absolutely have to do some shopping for bra’s and summer dresses tomorrow. It is really hot in PTA. We will finally be able to start with baby room. We are taking out the old carpets and want to change to tiles or laminated flooring – not sure which, any suggestions ? I am afraid the tiles might be cold in winter and the laminated flooring might not do well with water (and you never know what the maid might do). Lianey was really quite for four days last week and suddenly she is very active and my bump is growing nicely now. I am really enjoying this part of my pregnancy. I got a real hard kick on Monday, it was actually sore, but loved it. I am experiencing sum discomfort at times, especially with my bladder.

Enjoy your week girls !!

kimika strep B is serious and thats why it's very important to take the antiobiotics.

all gynae's should do the swab. they generally do it when they do the internal examination at 36 weeks

hi ladies

I'm just going to write about my experience this morning!
Dh's mom booked me for a scan today (she made the appointment 9 days ago) as my gynae recommended I have a scan with all the flying etc. sonographer complained about me coming but gave us an appointment anyway.

so off we go, me exceptionally excited to see if baby finally reached 1kg yet. turns out I am seeing a gynae, not just a sonographer. so we tell her I'm there for a scan and she says she refuses to do one as in france you dont have a scan at 6 months, only at 7 months so she's only doing the check up!!! well I immediately wanted to cry as I was so looking forward to seeing the baby.

anyway. I have to strip down NAKED, get onto the scale (last appointment I'd gained 13kg already - this scale says 11kg) and she immediately tells me I have gained far too much weight and gives me a seriously evil and disapproving look. She says I am too big.
I then get onto the bed (still naked) and she does my blood pressure and palpates my tummy. She then does an internal examination  I was horrified, mortified and just wanted to leave.

I then got dressed and she proceeded to tell DH I'm too fat, it's not ok, what do I eat etc etc. I tell her what I generally eat during the day and she says everything is wrong. She complained that I have a yogurt and fruit for breakfast. She says I have to stop having fruit juice and cut down on fuit (bear in mind I have about 150ml of fruit juice for breakfast and then only water for the rest of the day!!). She says fruit has too much sugar and she can see by my weight I eat a lot of sugar.

I was so offended and disappointed in everything. What a horrible experience!!!!!
