so actually they cancelled me for work! But I have been out all day visiting my friend. Her baby is 6 weeks old now and almost doubled his birth weight!!!!!!! Chubby little cheeks

LOL oh yes Joli...still have not told work yet!!!! LOL thiknk will have to do it thtis week...just cantg put it off any longer!!

Hey Everybody. Thanks for all the newsy posts. I try come comment later, doing the whole catch up thing at work and a little pressured!

I still don't have a fever today, yay. Just headaches and glands which I can cope with!
I had an appointment near a babycity today and had to get my friend her baby shower gift, of course I had to get something for myself ...... I got a denim nappy backpack from caboodles. It is so funky and was R150 off, almost half price!
DH took me out on sunday to shops as I had cabin fever and we bought 3 stuffed wild animals and a baby grow. The giraffe is soooo cute.

When I went through the toll today and my hand was out the window a BEE landed on it! I nearly died, I thought Seb can't take any more poison!! I swear do I have bug magnet in my blood or something!

Sorry no tim efor personals! My scan went fine last week. Was so excited to see the littel one bouncing around so much! As soon as he/she appeared on the screen a little arm was in teh air waving about. Doc is happy with everything. CHeck the nose bone and folds at back of neck etc and he is very happy that we have a 100% healthy baby! Next scan is 10 Novemeber.

Had a really busy weekend - fun, but non stop adn out so much at various differnet functionas and gatherings. Had a lovely surprise lunch out yesterday with the folks and inlaws for my birthday (tomorrow). I ate so much...stuffed calamari starter, then steak, then desert. What was really nice was the menu had lovely "virgin" cocktails - so did not feel left out!

Have read everybodys news...seems like no major dramas going on at moment.....

cnat beleive how time has flown!!! Oh how I wish it was APril already!

Faw - Congrats on getting the job! that is awesome news! Good luck with your husband my dear, I really hope all goes smoothly and you can find the peace of a clean slate after the anulment.

Anje!!! - Yeah!! I'm sooo happy that you are having a girl! Now I don't feel so alone anymore.. hehe.

Kimika - Ag that sucks man! It horrible if you have plans like that in place and everything gets thrown out like that! I really hope you can organise a back up plan.

Jess-Bryce - Hehe.. I have to agree on the boys clothing with you... I love shopping for my son. I actually bought him two new shirts and two pairs of pants this weekend that is Soooo adorable and he looks so cute. At Ackermans.

Meags - The problem is I think... when one walks into the shop, its like a Pink onslaught hitting you right in eyes! Then the boys stuff doesn't look as cute and bright in comparison... Try to NOT look at the girls stuff and walk straight to the boys clothing.

Joli - Oh my goodness girl.. HOW on earth are still being able to hide it... ? Are you carrying very small or have a flat tummy still?
Oh and I've picked up 6kg already... ... so dont worry, 4kg is really not that bad.

Kaelae - Your chosen name sound really nice! Good luck with getting hubby to go with it.

Mommy-jess - Yummy on the ice cream.. I love my ice-cream these days!

AFM: the weekend was great! Saw lots of whales and had a lovely time with family. It was really hot in Hermanus and Gansbaai so we enjoyed the sun after the cold spell we had in George.
My poor boy just got car sick for the first time ever, (he's 3,5) so he had a terrible time in the bakkie, poor baby. I had to buy him new clothes and shoes because of it.. hehe, so he got something out of it at least. And now I've got some car sickness meds permanently in the bakkie for next time.
Baby is doing well, Feeling her quite a bit lately. Its so cool.

Shame Kimika, good luck with the name search. Oh no, I do hope you get someone to look after your LB, weddings are so much fun, would be a pity if you missed it, but if there is no other way then the family will have to understand.

Meags, at least the work will keep you busy for a while.

Joli, don’t worry too much about the kg’s, as long as baby is healthy. In any case my gyne said on Friday that it is ok to gain approximately 3kgs up to week 20, you are not that far off.

Mommy-Jess, with your next scan you will hopefully be able to find out what the gender is. Do you want to know what it is? Oh and yum for the ice cream.

Joli, so sweet of you to offer but Im sure your boss will die if you sit with a little toddler at work and then a few days later tell him your preggie too! LOL I think Ill just drag him along to the scan on Friday and then Sat maybe leave him with FIL and his *wife*. She is very good bit toddlers so atleast Ill feel comortable that she will know what to do with him. aiii.. I just wish I could not go to the wedding I dont even know what to wear..

4kg.. Im sure that is totally possible looking at your belly size.. its all baby!!! You said you still fit into your normal pants dont you? I had my last normal pants on this morning and took it off about 1/2hour ago.. cant anymore.. poor baby! I read on a website that by 20wks its normal to have gained 10pounds (aprox 4.5kg) and from there on gain about 1pount a week (aprox 200g). I lost 2kg at about 8wks and then gained back 3 so Im still ok.. although dietician's calculations was that I should be still on 0kg for another 3wks.. That wouldve meant I lost some fat to make up for pregnancy weightgain.. uhm nope that didnt happen cupcakes, rusks, peanutbutter toasts, creamy pasta, melted cheese, icelollies (thanks emsmom) and blue fizzers
