Betty aargh I didn't even know there was a naartjie sale I've bought all my stuff full price :( but no more - today W was wearing the cutest 3-6 month outfit for the first time (I must check maybe I bought 0-3 by mistake??) and it was a SNUG fit?!!? Lord above, it's true that they grow out of their stuff quick! Country Road has the most GORGEOUS baby clothes, but I've only ever seen them in Hyde Park at the actual country road shop next to woolies. I am sure Cavendish in Cape Town would also have?
Betty that's hectic about trying to move Sarah from your arms hey. I have heard so many versions of when is the right time. Some say after 6 months (they're old enough to understand) others say from 2 weeks (!!) THat's what I tried to do and I think it's worked mainly cause of W's temperament. He's been in his cot from day 1 but it's in our room and I'm happy to keep it there for the next few years if necessary! I used to have to settle him etc but now he seems to know cot = bed. Sometimes when he feeds in middle of night (like he did this morning at 2h30 after a SEVEN HOUR BREAK HELLO WHAT A CHAMP) he doens't even open his eyes! Too cute.

Tazzy ja it would be divine to travel with Will and nanny on company's expense, but that's not my company I doubt they'd EVER do that!!! That's another company I heard of! :silly:

everyone else hi!! :)

Lucy, his "constipation" started after his first jabs yes.. I still dont really know if its constipation or just normal? The paed and clinic sister both said its normal  As for the winding.. I can sit and pat and tap and stroke and no winds will come out.. then eventually while just lying there he will burp! I think as they get older they just burp on their own? Iremember my first boy doing that from about 4months.

We are very close to my sister and her hubby.. I think if anyone were to be ok talking to them about it, it would be us. But still.. nobody likes to hear your kids are driving other ppl crazy! :( And quite a few of their friends/other family has mentioned the same thing to us.

Cath, was wondering if you are having so much fun with your sweet little angel that you forgot us :) Wow that is an amazing perk.. to be able to travel with your baba! Clever woman.. only a woman can know how scattered one's brain is when you are without baba.. makes much more sense to tag them along! hehe.. Enjoy your last bit of ml!

Tazzy.. had a good giggle at the poo-nami :) :) funny! I think she said the Ballito trip will be in school holiday.. when is that? July? But we are still deciding on that.. really dont know if Ill survive a holiday with them again :) But if I go down Im for sure setting up a coffee date with you guys!! Maybe your girls is just a fast drinker? R sometimes does a speed dash and I guess he is done in 5 mins then? I never time.. I fall asleep in about a second after he latches ;) (yes even during the day) zzzzzz breastfeeding is like instant hypnosis to sleep for me! does anyone else experience that? I cant keep my eyes open! Anyway.. so when he does those speed feeds I will prob still be able to squeeze some out.. sometimes he snoozes a bit and does more of a dummy action.. after that there is absolutely nothing in there anymore! But I leave him to do that as I think he prob then gets those rich hindmilkies and also then I can just put him down to sleep as he is totally zonked out then :)

As for the sleeptraining... I read bits of a friends babysense book but cant remember when sleeptraining can start? I think 6 months actively, but you can def start with *good sleep habits* from birth, like putting them down when drowsy but still awake. And then just do that bit of patting (comfort ladder I explained a while ago). Sometimes I just rock R a bit to get him to the drowsy part.. they say thats ok, but stick to the rule of not rocking them all the way to sleep. Also I find I still have to swaddle R, especially now that its cold.. when his hands are out he sleeps much lighter!

Betty, was your hubby able to find a dishwasher? :) hehe.. Awww the tights for girls are soo cute!! Pls have your girl wear them extra time for my sake.. I love them! I even went as far last winter to buy a red pair for R's brother.. but never got the guts to put it on! ;) I remember R also had a patch where he had green poo.. it went over quite fast.. maybe its just a phase as I remember some of the other girls also mentioning it.

Faw, I also remember the dr who did the epidural mentioning that if I get backpain its more likely to be due to pregnancy side-effects than the epi procedure. And I think because you are so tiny your back is working overtime with pregnancy and now 2 kiddies!

Woohoo.. our oldest has had 3 nights of sleeping through!! PLEEEASSEE let this be it!!!!! FX

Cath- I can't see ur pics :(

Faw - glad your ex will be sending all your things back. You must be glad its all over with!
I don't think a spinal could still be making your back hurt , but you must really look after your back especially when breasfeeding. We tend to sit hunched over which really isn't good. And carting all the baby's heavy carseat, pram (and baby) also adds to it!

Morning ladies

Just got back from the clinic. Sarah gained 160 grams in the last week. She is now nearly 4kg! Yay passed her birth weight again.. Although I would be disappointed if she never gained as I do feel like I am breeding every other minute!

DH eventually made an appearance at about 5 pm last night. Hangover must have been really bad, he never ate anything the whole day - ,lol

He has now gone to see if he can get a washing machine, as he wad unable to fix ours.

Faw- I hope you get your stuff back from your ex.. Good luck for Thursday, I hope he does not go to court.

Lucy - tessa is beautiful. Is she wearing tights? I bough some for Sarah, but have not put them on yet. She is still in her newborn clothing, although some of them are getting a bit small for her now.

Kimika, do you worry about the no poo? Sarah poos so many times a day, and it is slighly green? Bet you are glad to be home.. I have 10 nieces and nephews, some of whom can really be unruley. Generally I don't interfere with disciplining them. But if they are misbehaving or doing something naughty at my house, then I do say something.

Cath- I so wanted to go to the nartjie sale on Sarurday...where do they sell country road for baby? At woolies?

Tazzy- not sure when sleep training starts? Sarah is entrenched in our bed... Not sure how I will break that. She only sleeps if she is in my arms.

Mom to Matthew, born 8 March 2008
baby girl due 29 April 2011
