Okay so while I'm sitting here replying on moomie Amelia is sleeping and feeding and its been almost half and hour! Although she isn't really sucking at a pace! Very slowly!

LUCy - tessa is such a cutie!! Thanks for sharing some pics. She looks a lot like you. I also think that your 3d scan pic actually does look like her. I can't see Amelia in my scan pics.

Kimika - I'm going to try that - feed her on one side for longer and then force the second boob. She usually puts up a fight after about 5mins and I do have milk coming out after that (if I squeeze??)

So when are u coming down to Ballito? Maybe you, Lucy and I could meet for coffee?? I always feel so left out with all these jhb meets!

Amelia will also have no poo for a day or two but then when it arrives its a poo-nami!!

Has anyone started sleep training yet? I'm getting quite irritated shooshing madam to sleep And then I put her down she wakes up and cries.
I've lost my baby sense book, and can't remember how old they have to be to train?

Meags - was thinking - my milk actually dried up last time after taking the pill (triphasil). I stopped bf and then started my pill straight away

Lucy, me too - I go on a business trip one week after getting back to work - Boston and London and Brussels, luckily only 6 nights phew! My friend told me yesterday that her boss this forward thinking amazing woman at a top company started a NEW RULE - mothers who travel with babies under 2 - the company pays for NANNY AND BABY TO TRAVEL TOO!!! OMG! imagine!!

Tazzy you are totally right to follow instinct - thanks for the FB message I'll get to it this week!

W remains an angel - now sleeping 7 hours then 4 hours so I'm up once (e.g. last night in bed 19h30, up at 02h30 then again at 06h30) he is beyond adorable and cute and wonderful talking (gurgling trying to make sounds) up a storm!!!!!! Laughing and cooing no crying the child is a miracle. I am almost bankrupted from Country Road 'sale' (for babies) and Naartjie must stop!!!

Hi Kimika. If you look at my baby photo's you can see that Tessa and I are 2 peas in a pod.
I am very curious, why can't you wind R anymore? Why does he need to do it on his own? Oh and another question did R start with the constipation before or after his 6 week jabs?
Eish it is a tough one about your sil's children. In my experience people like that won't change from you talking to them but will get very upset with you!

Im so glad Im not the only one really missing being preggie.. I love my little babie to bits adore each moment of him.. but I just looove being preggie so much! I was visiting with my SIL who is 30wks preggie now and I eventually got so irritated (with myself) because I keep on feeling jabs of jealousy when I see her rubbing her belly or when she says he is kicking etc etc I sooooo do not want another baba now but I just want to be pregnant I really think Im cut out to be a surrogate mother

Remember I asked you a while ago if you had him tested for lactorse intollarance? Maybe if they can give you a defenate answer on that you will know to donate the milk or not? Damn.. wish I could have it The soy milk does tend to make the babas a bit constipated.. so maybe he was just uncomfy with that?

Lucy, ahh cant you take Tessa with you?? And then get a babysitter over there to watch her while you are busy? I just loooove the Mauritian people.. they are such kind people!!! Ill go there any second of the day just to enjoy them hehe.. my sister booked a trip to the Kruger, St Lucia an Ballito for July I think.. but they are camping all the time except for the Ballito bit. So Im thinking Im out for that trip.. def not in the mood for camping with a baby in winter. Im not big on camping in general so.. But the Ballito trip I might do as they have the unit in Beachcombers another one I cant remember the name of (large white buildings with greek name )
Yes, packing the car for 2 small boys is close to being a nightmare.. feels asif Im packing all my worldly posessions! Thanks for asking.. my dog is 100% again, the tablets took about 4 days to heal the swelling and she was running around again on day 2. Hope she stays out of trouble now!! Tessa is sooo cute!! Thanks for posting some pics! Wow and she looks sooomuch like her mommy

Betty, R does the awaketimes in the late afternoons too.. well often, not the last few days. Then he clusterfeeds a lot with maybe some tiny naps. Difficult to near impossible to get supper done The kango is great but I dont like him hanging in front while I cook.. I cant see what Im doing!

Faw, no bugger that job sounds aweful You cant get home that late!! And I can imagine your mom not coping with the 2 boys. Maybe keep looking for something with more security re the basic pay? Glad your boy is better!

Schatsie, glad all went well. When do you get your results?

Tazzy, Does she only want to feed that amount of time per breast? Wont she rather stay a bit longer per breast so she can get the hindmilk? But Im sure that if she is happy and sleeps well she is getting enough. See how it goes by next weigh. Also maybe give her a bit of a timeout after she starts refusing.. then put her back on breast and see if she will go again. R does that when he has a wind.. cant burp him anymore so it needs to come out on its own. Then she will prob have a bit more and then go to sleep. Do you hear her actively drinking and then slowing it down? Try see if she stops because she is full/windy or if the milk is finished. maybe she is fighting because there is no more milkies and doesnt want to continue nursing on empties? Just throwing a few ideas around.. I find that the hardest bit is to figure out why they are doing what when you breastfeeed.. and often you only figure it out long after you have chosen a different plan of action.

Ok and then I must say I agree with the growth charts are not totally teh all and all to go by. Rather go buy your gut.. if she seems happy then she is!

We are back home tonight. Im so happy to be home.. since my mom left on Friday its been a bit hectic with my sisters kids being totally unmanageable.. Its gotten to a point where Im starting to dread visiting with them.. and I love my sis and her kids but shoo they are just a bit too much Do you think its wrong if I talk to her about it? They just have no discipline and just flat ignore us and their parents. And Im scared its starting to rub off on my oldest boy as he totally adores his cousin and calls him "boeta"

Eish and R went another 5 days without a poop.. so on Sat I gave him a supposatory at 18:00 because he was farting the most awefull smelly eggy farts and was a bit niggly.. and then no poop. Then 2am he wakes for his feed and I smell a poop... a huge one! (like the one Matt had!) and since then he has pooped 5 times!! Even got mustardy grainy ones Hope he keeps it up.. he has been a much happier baby
