Hey friends !! Just wanted to share some of my Dad's handy work with you!! He has the dates a bit wrong so needs to change those but you'll get the idea

Must be quick as Matt is stirring...(is this possible!!!)

Think he's definitely going through a growth spurt. He fed at 10:30pm, 2:20am, 4:15am, 6:45am. Funny enough I dont feel as exhausted as the other days?! Will nap this afternoon anyway though just as a back up incase it hits me later...
He had an explosive poo this morning too (no wonder after all that milk!!) and of course leaking out the leg holes...aarrggg....
He also took more milk at the 6:45 feed (180ml)
He is still restless since I put him to sleep at 8:20...not sore I'll be getting a lot rest from him today.
His newborn clothes are suddenly tight and a little short to wear. FINALLY!

Kimika Matt's poops are the butternut paste type of poops. sometimes they have the seeds in them, other times not

Rakker, cute phodie if your 2 kiddies Ag.. tell me about the dummy issue.. *sigh* I always said that once my kids are able to run around the should be off the dummy.. well that didnt work out well at all!! LOL And what is this thing that 2yr olds wont lie still for a nappy change or change of clothes?? And then I tell him we have to hurry because R is crying then he just bursts out laughing!

Lucy, Ive not used a shield at all with R. Used it with his brother. My nipples get sore and pink but after a night's rest they are good to go again. Have you tried doing the grocery shopping with her while she is awake? Sometimes a bit of change in scenery does them well. If R is niggly and I have to do something I put him outside the door (where there is no breeze) and have him stare at the trees

Tazzy, ooo Ive also had the sour milk thing happen to me! And I didnt realise it straight away and only when he refused to drink it did I smell it was sour Now I pump and freeze straight away!

Betty, enjoying your little princess? How is your son doing? What did the ENT say?? Well done on your publicly breastfeeing expedition I battle with that and would rather go sit in the car or somewhere.. Woolies changerooms are great and spacious LOL at Rakker.. how did your boss react? My FIL walking in the other day (never mind the knocking hey!!) and his facial expression was priceless and I almost died.. eish!

Cath, ahh Im loving your worrying ITS NORMAL!! You are a mom now and its part of the job description to forever worry about your beans You can stop worrying about him not crying and rather be happy.. lucky girl! He seems like a very happy content baby so you must be doing all the right things. If he doesn cry or fret and sleeps well then all is going perfectly! As for tummy time, you can do atleast 5 or 10mins per day. If he starts moaning dont worry.. sometimes they are lazy to lift their heads and only does it once they are getting upset/irritated with it. He needs the excersise so just leave him a bit.. not many babies like tummy time The head lifting on your chest counts aswell! As for rushing over to him if he sleeps long and trying to listen to the little breath.. so normal.. we all do it Your nanny looks like a real sweetheart!

Tazzy, I also wanted to buy the bags but couldnt find cheaper ones.. so I bought the normal feezeer bags.. they dont work so great as they are too wide.. if you find cheap ones somewhere pls let me know. Im so glad Im not the only one who feels a bit sad about being snappy at the older tot.. shooo but they can be exhausting.. and Ive got mine home all day long. So now Ive decided that no matte what.. between 9 - 10 is our time.. R mostly sleeps then or is happy to "chill" somewhere. So then I can spend time with my oldest doing fun and educational things. Your girls are sooo goreous!! Wow you must be a proud mommy.. Im jealous

Meags, how is it going now? I must say I agree with what Cath said, you ahve given it more than your all.. nobody will ever judge you for giving the breast a rest.. so dont judge yourself.. Matt surely wont either. Hope he settles into the bottle soon and gives his mommy a bit of a well deserved peacefull break.x xxxx

Joli, you actually made me crave for going to a movie.. I think Ill tell hubby we must take PIetertjie for a Winnie movie on Wed R feeds about every 2hrs during the day.. So I have to stop whatever Im busy with to do his feed.. thats such a major mission.. switch of ovens/stoves etc, close up whatever Im busy with and put in fridge.. blah blah.. but ahh what must be done Its a bit easier than with you, you cant tell your clients that you need to stop the shoot because you have to b/f. Im just as lazy as you, I dont have any freezer stock.. keep on saying today Im starting but I never do. If you give him bm only he should really need any extra fluid.. especially in winter and if he is happy with his feeds then no need, you can wait until he starts on solids. I only give R water if he cant stretch for longer than an hour.. but I must say I havent given him water in about 4wks. CONGRATS on resigning! Im positively sure you will be blissfully happy at home doing your photos.. you are too amazing to be working fulltime and not doing the phodies. Good luck.. remember Im in the same position, only you have your business a bit more established than mine is.. Im still wayyy behind in what I need as income p/month. Callum is such a little handsome guy! Great phodie!

Those who exclusively bf.. how does your baby's poo like when they are a bit older.. as in closer to R's age? When he does his one in 4 days poo its almost like creamy butternut (sorry tmi). What happened to the grainy bits or do they outgrow that?

Ok Im going to catch up today even if it takes me the whole day WHAT a day I had yesterday.. eish.. either the jabs finally kicked in or its his little nose thats (still) bothering him He didnt sleep from 14:00 until after 21:00 last night!!

Meags hon, I hope you had a better one? With M crying when he poops, and sorry about the TMI, but with Kate, we take her napp off, and use a wetwipe to "massage" her sphincter with and help get her poop out for her, often babies forget to relax that muscle and thats why they strain.

Lucy, LOL regarding the amazon women! I actually just shaved down there eventually. I had gone the day before I went into labour for my last wax, but was getting a bit much and I didn't want wax near my scar just yet. But I'll have to go soon.
Glad T is doing better, hope she starts giving you some sleep during the day - is she happy not to be in your arms? Kate is happy to just lie around and stare at what I do, so even when she is not sleeping I thankfully manage to get things done.
Oh,have you started using cloth nappies?

Joli Callum is looking SO cute!! How are you finding the cloth nappies? Ya, with the water I've heard its not good to give them at all till solids cause it effects their sugar levels. With expressing, I try express from 1 boob and feed Kate on the other.

Well Kate seems to have settled into a 4-5hour routine at night. Which all things considering is much better than I've had with Em!
She was SO noisy last night!! groaned for like 2 hours straight, I really need to learn to tune her out at night.
Seems like we have another bisy week ahead, 3 dinner dates so far. But I like keeping busy

Sheesh kebab Emsmom! 3 parties and lunch the next day, you go girl! I plan a grocery shop like 3 days in advance. I agree always awesome to have posts to read at these feeds! Makes them go by quicker.

Today I go for a wax, first in 10 weeks. I look like an amazon woman, was so embarrassing when I went to gynae. What can you do? Just kept hoping he'd seen worse. Lol!

As for water...there is no need until he starts solids. BM has enough water in it.

EmsMom you are crazy to be so busy!! I am proud of myself if I make it to 2 shops during the day!!

Well Matt has been a little nightmare since last night...Cath I left him to sleep. But then I wanted to go to bed and he was in the swing. as soon as I switched off the rocking motion and sound to take him out, he woke. so I fed him, then pumped then DH came home like 15 minutes later so I was finally in bed by midnight (should have just gone for dinner....)
So Matt woke at 3. That's fine...he did 4 hours between feeds.
He fed and settled quite quickly (40 minutes for everything) then I pumped and went to sleep by 4:15. He started crying at 5...so I go check what's up, his arms are flying around - loose from the swaddle. I quickly re-swaddle and settle. back into bed by 5:15. He starts crying at 6...ok what can possibly be wrong now?!?! Well now he is awake and crying a lot...so I decide to just feed him even though it's only been 2 and a half hours because nothing is settling him. he drinks half the bottle, very unsettled, change nappy etc etc. sleep on my chest by 7:05. So I sleep in the rocker again. He starts crying at 7:45....my word WHAT NOW?????????????????
Well he is doing the "I need to poo but I cant just yet" cry...so I eventually think to myself "well I am absolutely exhausted so he can lie on my lap and cry because anything I do wont stop the crying anyway since its the poo cry".
So I am sitting there just watching him cry (generally after 5 minutes he finally poo's and all is well again). DH walks in and immediately takes him (like I'm a bad mother just sitting watching him cry....)
My right boob has been giving me trouble all night. so sore and feels like blocked duct starting. So I go down to warm my gel pads to express, make us tea and DH trying to give him the rest of the bottle.
I pump, DH gets him to drink a bit. eventually I bath Matt, give him some bottle in the bath and finish bottle after bath. Then he finally sleeps at 9:30. so we also go to bed until midday.
WHAT A MORNING!!!!
So he slept 4 hours....and woke at 1:30pm. Now he has hardly slept since then!!! maybe like power naps of 20 minutes twice?? and its 7:30pm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
