HI

Once again sorry been MIA!

Mom is in hopsital (she is fine) and am visiting her daily, popping in to check up on dad (he is not very domesticated so feeding him), popping into moms shop to check staff etc so really no free time!

All fine with my baby boy! He is liking bath time now (Yay). I am still pumping and he is feeding well. Am looking frowar to next clinic visit next wednesday to see how much weight he has gained.

Have read all your news (wow schatsie....that was brave!).

Betty - R the same...demand feeding an dhe loves sleeping on my chest...ofetn he is passed out on it but if i move him to cot he wakes up!

Schatsie awesome on the weekend away. Well done too, it must have taken a lot of organising. I've been wondering if we dare go away with Tessa!

Meags. Tessa also slept after the jabs. Only time I got day sleeps! I did post on fb that she got severe winds and cramps a few days down the line. She even projectile vomitted. Because it started 3 days down the line I never put it to the jabs, but our midwife asked us about it, unprompted and that is when I put 2 and 2 together. I also went with a friend her baby is 4 days younger than T and she went through same things on same days. Tessa has not been back to normal in the wind department. She used to self burp on the boob most of the time. Now I battle to get her to burp. So we started probiotic drops again yesterday.

Schatsie glad you enjoyed your time away. did you just have Arno in his nappy in the water?
We are going to a friend tomorrow to Jacuzzi and wondering if Matt could come in his nappy???
Sure he'll love it since he loves the bath

Lucy how is Tessa? Still windy?

Well Matt had his jabs today and has slept and slept and slept and slept! Anyone else had this?! It's rather pleasant for me!!! He only woke for feeds and straight back to sleep.
Shame but he did cry ALOT when they injected him...poor thing :(

Hi all

Lucy I LOVE the pics your dad did!!

Rakker, gorgeous pics of your little ones!

Emsmom, I would definitely not even bother to answer that woman re donation, or tell her that actually there is no fee for it so she can just go away!

Meags, good to hear you finally gave up on the BF ordeal! Hope that things will be better for you soon and also that the chat with your husband helped so that things can improve!!

We had a lovely little getaway to Citrusdal Baths. Arno LOVED the warm pool - he even fell asleep in it! :) Other than that he was also very good - probably mostly cause we were out and about in the car so much.

Other than that the only news I really have is that we have managed to find a lovely nanny. It was still a bit early, but I started looking at some ads last week. We interviewed her today and decided to appoint her from 1 June, although I was only planning on going back to work 1 Aug. I figure that 2 months at home with her should be plenty of time to train her 100% and give me peace of mind.

Rakker and Betty - thanks.

Meags I wake tessa after 6 hours due to engorgement. That is how I got mastitis. So too scared to wait longer.
I am sorry M struggled again. It is so hard to deal with screaming and I hope he settles again soon.
I am glad you chatted with dh, I hope something comes of it.

Tessa has been really battling with wind since the jabs. She screams in pain! The bennets stuff works so well. She has also been doing explosive poo's! 4 outfits yesterday! Dh calls it curry coloured but it is orange just like butternut! Lol.

HI ladies

Kimika I didnt call the LLL lady as I hate confrontation! So I emailed her. She said she understood my decision and gave me advice re: breast pain (warm compress which doesnt help anyway...)
so at least that's out the way!
How did R sleep??

Lucy why do you wake Tessa to feed? Why not just leave her until she wakes?

Rakker I know what you mean about needy.....Matt is in my arms the whole time he's awake. Everytime he sleeps, people tell me to let him sleep on my chest and bond with him. But honestly, I just cant wait to put him down and be free!!!

BettyF - my boobs are still sore...I needed to pump around the 3/4am feed...but that never happened. so by 6:30 this morning I was HUGE and sore!! I am still pumping but trying to slow down to finally stop. I am trying to go 6-7 hours between pumping now and pump until I'm not engorged (which still means about 100ml or more per breast...no idea how I'm gonna get that down...)
Think I'll just eventually try go 8-9 hours then twice per day etc. Maybe that will decrease the supply. Want it totally over with my mid June.

AFM:
Well did Matthieu have a f++king crisis or what last night!!!!!! I was as hysterical as he was!
I bought the Playtex bottles with drop ins (dunno if you know them...) Because I thought they would be perfect to travel with since you only really need to wash the teats. Well he was having NONE of it!!! I mean I only tried to feed him with it for like 3 minutes and that was that. HE screamed blue murder, high pitched shrieking. Nothing I did would calm him. I tried EVERYTHING. 30 minutes into his screaming DH came home and started taking out the rubbish, getting a BEER....well I lost it. I said "can you not bloody well come help me?" so he said "Yes I'm coming I'm just opening my beer". Well that was me...
I gave him the baby, crapped on him and said when he comes home and Matthieu is like this, he must take the baby immediately. leave the f**king dustbins until later. He said he also needs 5 minutes to just settle after work. And I said "well when is MY 5 MINUTES??????" I then ran upstairs crying my eyes out!!!!!!
Matthieu continued screaming hysterically for another 30 minutes (I did change the bottles and give him his favourite and STILL not happy!!). Eventually I took him out onto the street (8pm) and walked around. Which calmed him a little. Enough for me to try get him to drink from his normal bottle again which just set him off again!!!! So I decided fine - dont eat then. Put him into the sling and told DH we should just eat because whatever we do for him he is screaming anyway so whats the point in trying so hard...

Well he was calm enough for me to eat. as long as I stood and bounced him in the sling. It's like he just wants to be with me all the time. And it's so demanding and exhausting!!!!! I then fed him from the new bottle in the sling and he was ok...still didnt finish the feed though. and it took more than an hour for him to fall asleep (put him in the swing and he just sat there wide awake....)
Eventually he slept around 9:30. He then woke at 1:30 for a feed, I tried the new bottle (he needs to be adjusted to these by the time we travel!!) and he only took 60ml (usually drinks 120-150ml). He was then asleep. so I thought I'd just put him back into the cot, go back to sleep and he'd probably wake again in an hour or so for the rest of the feed. Well he didnt. he woke at 5:45. So at least I got a little rest but yes, then I missed out my pumping time! but it was worth it. however after the morning feed he had another crisis....man I thought we were over this!!!

Anyway, the teat from the bottle he likes is a little too big for the new bottles...BUT i have managed to force it to fit into the ring so next feed I will see that there's no leaks or anything. This should solve the problem since it's the teats he is so fussy over.

Going for lunch at a friend this afternoon. I should probably be napping now...but I'm not. Will most likely regret that later...

Spoke a bit with DH in bed about how our relationship is at an all time low. We have not had sex in 5 months :( And honestly, I dont even care anymore and I cant imagine us ever having sex again. When I think about it, it just feels awkward. I would say generally we have a good relationship in terms of enjoying each others company and doing stuff together. But sexually its 200% DEAD. there is no passion, no desire, NOTHING. we dont even cuddle anymore. I think he last kissed me with tongue when we last had sex! And finally I think DH sees the light and agrees as last night he told me he's so sad we dont cuddle anymore and that we need to find a way to re-connect.

I dont know how we will do that. Sunday is the only day...and generally the 7-8 feed he does, I pump, we drink tea at the same time and once Matt goes back to sleep, so do we, as it's the only time we can catch up on sleep and I think both of us would much rather get that sleep than have sex.
