Hey friends.
Apologies for being MIA. Life has been a bit crazy. I got a mild mastitis over the weekend. Caught it early and i'm over the worst. Tessa until yesterday does not sleep at all during the day. So Meags I also can't grocery shop! But she does sleep well at night. I am starting to get a little down at having her on me for all her waking hours, which is all day, although I am pleased that it is not always on the boob anymore.
Meags I keep on one boob until it is soft. I just love the talking video.
For ladies still to have their 6 week check up, be prepared for not only a pap but also an internal. Not sure if I already posted about that. The pap was the sorest ever. He couldn't see my cervix and really had to dig. I bled! If I have already mentioned, probably show how traumatised I was - LOL!
I will try catch up on personals soon. So hard on phone !
Oh tessa had 2 naps during the day yesterday. Whoop whoop. I hope it is a new routine and not just after effects of her jabs on monday. Poor monkey has a huge bruise.
The expensive physiogel has totally cleared her rash. Amazing stuff. I am now massaging with the woolies eco gel.
Betty laser really helped me.

Meags, well done, girl! Your effort and "stubborn" determination is paying off. The breastfeeding in public takes time to master, but it's something that you must just start with. The first few times can be very awkward... I kept on thinking: "did anyone see my boob just now"...

MommyN thanks for your input. I am just going to feed him on demand but today has been a little crazy!
I did bottle throughout last night (but only until he was full - so didnt force him to finish). Well he didnt finish any of the bottles...so I was feeding him more often than normal. But also shows he prefers feeding this way.
So he finished the bottles by 8am. Then I took a long nap while he slept and decided from then he would get boob.
So at 11:30 he fed. Then again at 12:30, 1:15pm
Then again at 2:20pm, 3:45pm, 4:20pm.
I cant get him to feed for longer!!! But he has been feeding anywhere from 5-12 minutes per feed. I am going to do bottle again during the night. I cant be feeding that much during the night - I will be a zombie. Once he is stretching 2-3 hours between feeds I'll BF during the night.

At least today I just sat on the couch to latch him. No more having to walk around bouncing. He does still fight a bit and cry. But once he's on, he's fine.

Tomorrow we are out to a mom and baby group from 10-12 and then out to lunch from 1pm. I have no idea how I am going to BF!! I already struggle in the privacy of my home where I can be totally topless. How am I gonna do it in public trying to keep covered?! I may just do bottle tomorrow...(well atleast for the lunch).

I have offered him the bottle after each boob feed but he totally refuses. doesnt drink any. so it's not that he is still hungry after boob. Wish he'd just drink better so he could go longer! Hope in the next few days he settles.
But now I feel the pressure is off. If this doesnt work out - I will accept it because at least I have tried, perservered and he finally did BF! But I'm also not going to live a life sitting in my house because he is on the boob every 45 minutes. I wouldnt even be able to get grocery shopping done! So I'm giving it a couple of weeks before I make a decision. I know this is also new to him and BF is hard work!

big hello and hug to all the lovely moomies, schatsie where are you! You asked about sleepign on the back, apparently that's totally fine my paed said only on the side in case they throw up but W sleeps on his back during the day and plays on back and at night or after feed he is on his side - alternate sides.
