Ryan on hos first day home..even though he was 4.3kg he looks so tiny

Emsmom - love the pics, so much hair!

Kimika...laundry...lol i have a never ending laundry basket! I spent most of today catching up and then leaked a whole lot of milk all over our duvet (obviously new cover on) so had to wash duvet today. At least was nice weather so was able to dry today!

Meags - glad to hear that you will be in CT in July! Cant wait to meet M! Will be at the meet.

Lucy - hope you come right with the skin problem! Shame poor sausage!

Dad has the nigt off - gone to a friends Bday! Guess this is what a mommy is all about. Home alone babysitting while DH goes out to keep up our social life! I dont really mind tho...gives me time to just stare at my little milk monster! Cant beleive that he is here at last...often just creep into his nursery to stare at his beautiful face.

think he will be up soon....he is starting to make littel noises,,,so let me quickly post some pics!

Meags, agghhhh man... There is nothing more frustrating, depressing, horrible and all the bad words combined than long-period sleep deprevation. A friend of mine once commented on how unfair it is that we as parents often have to make such big decisions and things at times when we are most tired! You have to think about how to manage your baby when he is unhappy but you yourself is totally sleep deprived and exhausted. The part where you said you just want to cry when you have to get up for him is total proof of that.. thats how one reacts when you are just tooo tired to cope anymore. Did you know sleep torture is one of the cruelest ways of torturing someone and that you can actually die from not sleeping? Ok.. so Im not helping hey? Im just saying all of this so you know how much I understand and simpathise with you on how you feel.. its really horrible and bad I dont think your husband has any idea how it feels to be 100% responsible for a baby 24hrs a day without end or breaks. *hugs friend*

Emsmom, quite a while ago you posted your cookie recipe... I wrote it down but havent tried it yet. I want to know how it bakes.. does it raise "neatly" if I can call it that? I need to bake cookies to ice but the edges needs to bake smoothly .. mine goes a bit hobeldy Oh and Kate is so cute!

Lucy, try stop the oil to for a while. I dont think the prob is with the J&J products.. its more that it is the scented products that can cause the rash. But if its in her face then it might very well be babyrash. My oldest boy had it bad at about 3months and it lasted a month! Eventually paed told me to stop eating eggs until he is 6months old, I did that but it never made a difference. So Im sure it was the baby acne. Shoo.. she did a good 6hr stretch I know when my boobs get engorged it hurts quite a lot for a while although feeding from it should relieve most of it. Keep an eye on it if it continues to hurt. And try keep it from going engorged again soon, rather express when you feel it getting ful.

Girls, pls can you give me some unput on how your late afternoons to evening routine goes? What times does your babies nap and when do you get to cook? What time do you bath baby and do the final feed and bedtime? I just find R to be very awake at about 5pm and then he goes to bed a bit early.. before 7pm. And some days I find that my milk supply is very low. So tonight I had to give him nan top up (I actually didnt want to do it at all again) but he was really hungry even after I let him bf for really long.

Ag I keep forgetting to tell you, my little angel Reuben's hair keep falling out, for about the last 4wks or so. All the long hair at the top of his haid and now the back hair is falling out. And he already has a sleep patch at the back of his head! Shame...

Kimika and Emsmom, thanks for advice. I am not sure but will look into it. I use the woolies eco baby to wash her clothes and I use the pink elizabeth anne's to wash her. Aqueous on her skin. Only j&j product is the massage oil! The midwife seems to think it is that baby acne from the hormones just a really bad case. It has made her skin so dry it cracked around her ears etc. Shame. I have now been using physiogel to help clear it. So far there is a huge improvement. But I will keep my eye on her soaps. Just thinking as i'm going here her face is worst affected and that doesn't come into contact with any soap. Ai I don't know.
Her neck seems much better again. Happy little sausage. She is suddenly eating less. Weird. So last night I had to wake her after 6 and a bit hours sleep as I thought my right boob was going to explode. It was so sore it woke me! It is still very sore now. Is that normal or should I have it checked?

Emsmom Kate looks like such a chilled baba. Well done.
