First Fertomid Cycle, New Here

I ovulated and conceived first time around
Not sure what the success rate is... google it but it may not be correct..

i know lots of ladies that have had success if not the 1st time around the second or third...

Hi, TCS84 - Did you conceive first time round?? Or did the meds make you ovulate first time round?

i took fertomid in december, cD3- CD7... 100mg and it worked first time around.. so i guess it all depends on your body...

You are so lucky to have found fertomid in the pharmacy. Durban has such a major shortage of it...

There's no real difference actually.

Fertomid, clomid, clomihexal, femara are all the same thing. Some are the 'name' prescriptions and others are the generics.

Basically have the same results!

My best friend was put on Clomihexal and now I am on Fertomid. What is the difference between the two??

You really have nothing to fear!!

It's good that you were put on Fertomid, all it does is make you grow a few good eggs and when you go back on CD10, your gynae will show you the eggs by means of an internal scan and possibly give you a hcg trigger shot to make you release the eggs.

You'll then be instructed to BD at a certain time and voila!!

Believe me, I know. I, on the other hand, ovulate but my eggs are too small so it's basically the same. AF cycle is 2 days. That's it. Was also put on fertomid and it did work, I had a nice big egg of 2.2cm (nothing under 1.8cm is viable for conception)

If I can just make one suggestion, drink the fertomid at the same time every NIGHT as they have been known to make a few ladies agro and for other ladies, it has given them some side effects (feeling of being bloated, some pain in the lower back and abdomen)
